5 out of 5 eggsHUGE!

Pros: Wow is this thing big! It swallowed an Intel dual Xeon server board, 650W power supply, SATA controller card, 6 hard drives and a DVD/RW with NO problems...has room for a few more hard drives if I wanted...but with a Terabyte raided array already in it, why?
Easy tool-less access to insides, yet still lockable for security.

Cons: The motherboard tray does NOT have the right holes for the dual Xeon boards. I had to munge something together with a drill and some nuts and extended bolts for the heatsinks...

Other Thoughts: NewEgg rocks!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for tons of Hard Drives

Pros: Solid Case. Thick aluminum side panels. Quiet - even with tons of hard drives. Wheels on bottom of case make it easy to roll it around the office.

Cons: For this price, Lian-Li should have included the two 80mm case fans in the spaces provided above the power supply instead of making the customer buy them separately. Also, you have to buy long cables (IDE or SATA) to reach all the drives in the bottom of the case, and it can be especially tough to route IDE cabels, but that's a mild inconvenience.

Other Thoughts: I bought the black case over a year ago to build a server, and liked it so much I bought the silver case last month when I was ready to build a 2nd server. I bought two hard drive chassis converters - the type that convert three 5-1/4 external spaces to four 3-1/2 drives, and comes with its own 120mm fan. This allowed me to add EIGHT more hard drives in addition to the 12 that can be stored in the slots already provided in the bottom compartment. Now have a total of TWENTY hard drives (SATA drives and cables work best) in each case. 650watt PS seems to do the job well.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quiet, solid, tons of room.

Cons: I had to buy an extension cable to get the front fan to reach its slot on the motherboard. But that's not the end of the world by any means.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Case ever!

Pros: 12 Hard Drive Bays.
5 External 5.25 Bays.
Lots of open space.
Keeps my 7 hard drives cool.
Very light for its size.
Great airflow.

Cons: Absolutely NONE!

Other Thoughts: Don't listen to people giving it bad reviews because you need extra long cables. This is a NO BRAINER, DUH. This case is huge and will carry 12 hard drives internally. I just ordered long cables when I bought the case. I have no problems.

5 out of 5 eggsThe Biggest Case around

Pros: This case is huge... which allows me many more options as to how much stuff I want to cram in there... also due to the size... it is much easier to get at components in this case which makes upgrades and installation of components so much easier

Cons: The front USB ports cable to the MB is too short and wont reach for my ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe MB... customer service for the company told me to visit some site to get a longer cable... the site didnt have it... so... I went to radio shack... and a little solder and extra wire later... works fine now...

Other Thoughts: If you want to stick a ton of stuff in your case (water cooling, extra power supplies, removeable hard drive bays, many optical drives, up to 12 internal hard drives) then this case is for you..
Also be careful of the edges of the side panels... they will cut you if you arent careful when removing the case from the box... my suggestion... angle the box to let the case slide out on its own...

5 out of 5 eggsLian Li has no equal

Comments: This is by far the case I have bought, used, or seen.

The aluminum is a thinker gauge than the competition and give this case a very sturdy build. The aluminum also has a very nice finish too, which gives this case tons of class. Even though you can't see it in the Newegg images, this case also has a aluminum power button. I don't often say this, but you can feel the quality in pushing it.

When it comes to size, this case is gigantic. It don't buy a lot of full tower cases, but this is probably above average. Even though it is this big, it is light because of aluminum.

The inside of the case is great too. Most of the time when I open a case, it isn't a joy, but this almost is. The side doors hinge at the bottom and are released by a never-detaching thumbscrew and a unique sliding mechanism. After you pull the mechanism, you can tilt out the door and lift it off. The case is very open inside so you shouldn't have any trouble moving around. One of my favorite features of the whole case is the hard drive slots. This case comes with special screws, which you put on the hard drive. The hard drive can then be slid into a slot quickly and next locked into place with a push down lock.

If you want a case that will induce envy in everyone who sees it for many years, then you should buy this case.

I'll never buy non-Lian Li cases from now on because of it.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent case

Comments: Wow I never thought that one day I'd spend so much on a case. This case is so perfect. I like how to back comes off easily so I can hide my wires and wheels are nice so I can just roll it around from place to place. I like the brakes that the wheels have. Things that are kind of weird: no reset button? Why did they place to motherboard speaker right in the middle? those problems are all easily fixxable.
This is the best case ever!

5 out of 5 eggsHug it!

Comments: This case sets a standard in both design and craftsmanship. I've built many a custom PCs with many a different cases. Nothing comes close to this. The room, the cooling, layout, the materials and... the room are all outstanding. I was hesitant at first to drop $200+, but this case truly must be seen with your own two eyes.

Comments: This is an awesome case with lots of space for drives. However, to get better cooling you should remove the divider between the drive and PSU compartments and install 2 80mm fans in the mounts above the PSU. This allows air to flow across the drives and makes a big difference. We're running 9 drives and drive temps went down noticeably, especially for the top ones, once we did that. In addition removed the dust filter, which cuts down the flow A LOT and also creates noise, from the front fan. To get rid of vibrations we also put some foam padding in between the side doors and the case. Now it's really silent and the case temp is ambient even with that many drives.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat case

Comments: just bought this case so i'd have extra room for water cooling. turned out its alittle harder than i would've thought to fit a 2x120mm radiator in there but then again i didn't realize how big that rad is.

speaking of big. this case is HUGE. If you've ever seen a mac g5 case its a good 6 inches taller than that monster.

the reviews of this case are fairly accurate, however i had NO problems with the front audio/usb/firewire cables being too short and the sata cables reach from the top of my mobo down to the middle 3 and the left 2 hard drive locations. i believe they are 24" long however... so you will need more if you want alittle more slack or want to put the drives lower.

great case overall. just make sure your really want a case as big as this... i personally might've choosen the lian li v1200 if i had to do it all over again. but either way you won't be disappointed. the attention to detail is unreal. it really is a great case.
