5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: good its so beautiful. I cried when I got it out of the box. tons of room and the "upside down" effect on the motherboard actually helps get heat off your video card.

Cons: cost is a limiting factor but as with all lian-li products you get it back in sheer quality.

4 out of 5 eggsi expected perfection for $320.00

Pros: Spacious, Noise Reduction (only on side panels), Excellant cooling.

Cons: the front intake fan to cool the harddrives doesn't reach my motherboard.. so i guess i need a convertor to hook it up to my power supply. upside down motherboard? weird. directions that come with this thing made me want to punch a hole in the head of the people who wrote it.

Other Thoughts: for this much money i expected it to be a more 'streamlined' approach in the presentation of the product and overall it was sloppy but if you can get past that this is still a nice case...frustrating but nice.

2 out of 5 eggsbad design

Pros: 1. good looking
2. plenty of 3.5" slots

Cons: 1. motherboard is upside down so can't use motherboards with heatpipes for cooling.
2. no reset button
3. i loaded the case with 6 HDs on the bottom and the case has a terrible hum due to resonance from the HDs. will be ok if you use 1 or 2 HDs.

Other Thoughts: humming in aluminum cases is a big problem, but this case seems worst case. i've even tried to do the HD suspension mod but it still hums. it's too load to sleep in the same room. overall, i was pretty disappointed with this case.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat upgrade possiblities

Pros: HUGE CASE. you have to install the mb and power supply upside down, but i rather like that. it has vents on the bottom you can open up to allow more air flow

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: i orriginally got it to replace my old computer, buyt know i am thinking of making it to be a water cooled server

4 out of 5 eggsSpacious quality with quirks

Comments: Did a lot of research before buying this case for a media server. Probably would do it all over again as build quality is excellent. Can't beat ease of installing disks. However some quirks knock it down a notch:

1)Motherboard must be installed upside down. This is an issue for new Asus boards with heatpipes for silent cooling.
2) 120cm fans are rather noisy in my opinion. ADDA brand, 34db fans. Even with Speedfan, more noise than I would like.
3) Designed for only one PSU. With lots of room for disks, seems logical that a second PSU may be needed, especially in a high performance machine. Kluge is necessary.
4) Hard to find information on the difference between the Plus and the regular model. Extras included are: CPU fan exhaust; vertical exhaust fan for the graphics card & PCI slot area and perhaps a couple of other things. I don't use any of these as I decided to water cool, so I could have bought the non-plus edition.

Having said all that, if you have the room, the styling is simple and classic and it's easy to work with.
