5 out of 5 eggsBUY THIS CASE

Pros: EXTREMELY quiet. I love the fact that they didn't turn the mother board around. That leaves the case opening on the same side as older cases. Also brings the 'plugging in' of things higher up so you don't have to bend so far down to reach your rear USB inputs. Air flow is beautiful. Nice power/reset buttons that light up (Blue/Red) The 120 fans are very quiet, and blow some nice air considering that they are stock fans. I love the rubber they have in between some of the mounts(HDD/Fans) that they put to cancel out vibration noise. Love the upper front panel FW/USB/AUDIO. (never was a fan of the lower plug ins, this would limit headphone cord length) Dual PSU support is a plus for future projects. Cord tucking is easy, even if you have all the peripherals that I have. This board was truly thought out to the last detail. Hey... it's Lian Li... I mean.. is there anything that comes CLOSE?

Cons: I'd have preferred the top fan to be closer to the front to cool the ram a little more. Considering what kind of CPU coolers we have these days, we don't really need any more air blowing on the heat sink itself, rather, just all around good air circulation. It would have been nice if it came with 1 more 120 fan for the other side of the HDD trays. Also why didn't they make this thing hold 6 HDD's? I was looking to do a 6xRaid0 setup, now I'm limited. Currently running 4.

Other Thoughts: This case is extremely 'crisp' looking. Every part is of utmost high quality. There is almost nothing overlooked when it came to planning this case out. If you are a fan of curves on a case, this case is not for you. If you want to see the guts of a computer, this case is not for you. But if you want elegance, then this IS for you.

5 out of 5 eggsCool, Quiet, Unique and Stylish

Pros: The case itself is stylish and sophisticated.

There are three 120mm x 25mm fans which are all default setup as intake. There is one 80mm x 25mm exhaust fan that cools the top of your power supply and acts as a backwards blow hole and blows over the top of your power supply. All four fans are branded branded Lian Li, and the 120mm have a top speed of 1200ish RPM. I didn't measure the speed of the 80mm but all four fans are very quiet, even at top speed. All four fans are three pin connectors which allow for RPM monitoring but the leads are soldered to the fans.

The high quality aluminum sheeting helps dissipate residual heat quickly.

The dual air current design on the right side helps cool the bottom of the motherboard first, then is sucked into the inside of the case where it travels between the hard drives and other components before being blown out the back.

Cons: Review Contd:

Sound dampening material around the front door helps cut down on the sound from your optical drives and hard disks.

The dual air current design / detachable panels help baffle the sounds from the front two fans and internal components.

There is sound dampening material installed in the top of the case, inside which is easily cut if needed. This material also covers the inside of the exhaust cover which attaches to the rear of the case and has a nifty little clip for your power supply cord.

The high quality materials and cuts/holes/alignment are what you would expect from Lian Li. And the case is very sturdy. Provided screws and accessories are more than adequate.

Depending on how you configure your fans, it is easy to overpressure the case, or to almost equalize intake and exhaust.

Other Thoughts: Review Contd:

You will not be able to install 120mm x 38mm fans in the front, the brackets provided are not deep enough though the space between the front of the case and the hard drive cage is deep enough. Though you may be able to solve this issue if you used longer screws.

It struck me as odd that all three 120mm fans were configured as intake, I switched the rear 120mm fan to a 120mm x 38mm Panaflo and it is exhausting along with the power supply and internal 80mm. This allowed me to almost equalize intake and exhaust.

4 out of 5 eggsRMA

Pros: This is the nicest case i've ever seen or owned. everything about it is high quality. All edges are covered so you don't scratch/cut yourself. The layout is very nice. Everything about the case just works. Except for one thing...

Cons: the power button came jammed, also the reset button. I'm not bothering testing it out. It is jammed in such a way that it looks like it would be a hassle to push the button, if the button works at all. this is my only complaint, but of course, the case is worthless without a working power button.

Other Thoughts: Like I said, the case is going back. But, i'm going to exchange it for the same one and hopefully i can get one with a working power button this time. Newegg is great about this kind of stuff so there shouldn't be any problem there.
