5 out of 5 eggsa little note

Pros: Air flow and Space are the keys why this case is so good. Lots rooms between the mobo and the bays. All the parts in the case can be taken off for max flexibility. Beautiful side panel window with extra side fan vent in this new edition. Wiring management was a stroll in the park.

Cons: ***IMPORTANT*** For those who plan on getting a huge heatsink, such as the Thermalright's IFX -14, which is bigger than your mobo dimensions. You will either return the heat sink or do the extreme alternative like i did (more on this in other thoughts) Beauty comes at a price - the case is so beautiful it makes you always on the look out for keeping sharp things far from it. It's not fun when you get a scratch on a black lian li cuz it'll show up silver behind that black paint :(

Other Thoughts: Well little did I know the piece aluminum that separates the mobo and the hard compartments (which goes all the way across the entire case near the middle) gives no additional head room for anything that could potentially go over the edge of the motherboard like the Thermalright IFX - 14. So I didnt chicken out and return it but instead i took my little fine hand saw and saw out a square opening (box cutter to score the bottom and bent it out) which actually opens up additional air flows from the 2x 80mm fan at the bottom. For the sharp edges I just file it down and ran it over w/ fine grained sandpaper and now it not only look good, but more importantly it worked great! //qx6700 49c 49c 44c 44c / case 20c / 1tb raid0 / 1000w psu / 2 gb ram / lian li v2000 plus II (modded !) :)

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: HUGE!!! Excellent airflow and cable management as long as you don't mind the cables being visible. Beautiful, clean looking, top-notch manufacturing, quiet, and functional.

Cons: Needed more thumbscrews, maybe one more intake fan on the front (or the option for one) No useful manual. No removable motherboard tray.

Other Thoughts: For the price the cabling in the case could've been wrapped or colored black or something. Beige is just wrong.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Huge, can take out the hard drive racks and fit a water cooling system. Excellent build quality and layout. Excellent internal temps.

Cons: Aluminum feels a bit thin and is easily scratched when using tools to remove screws that just wont budge. The plastic grips they give you for the wheels tend to slip out after a few feet of dragging the case. Manual could have mentioned which screws were to be used for motherboard and power supply mounting.

Other Thoughts: All in all, excellent case and well worth the money, even if my ugly IDE cables are showing :) (I'll fix that)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Beautiful case. Easily modified. Tons (TONS) of room to do as you please with. My watercooling setup easily. Case temp around 24 to 30 C. E6700 oc to 3.4 running @ 15 to 22 C at rest (never over 40 under load).

Cons: The fans that it ships with are not silent. The opening mechanism is a bit tight. I will probably have to file or at least lubricate to get to slide as easily as it should.

Other Thoughts: Even with minor complaints I really like this case. I like the motherboard location (upside down)for watercooling ease and it looks very stylish.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: The quality of construction is excellent - solid as a rock. The layout is very good, especially the hard drive racks - easy to get to. The ventilation system (fan configuration) is unique - not sure if it is better than standard or not, but it is sure is different.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Newegg service continues to be outstanding. Ordered early afternoon - shipped the same day. Arrived three days later from California - shipped to Illinois.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing...

Pros: This case isn't slapped together... its meticulously designed from the ground up. I've never seen a case with such innovative features and space. The quality is on par, if not better than my Mac Pro's case...

Cons: Stock fans aren't noisy, but aren't the greatest of quality. The case includes a ridiculous speaker, which I immediately removed :P

Other Thoughts: If you need perfection of aesthetics and practicality... this is your case. I have enough room for a PA102.3 radiator on the bottom and a 102.2 on the top... its INCREDIBLE.

4 out of 5 eggsIf it was a car...

Pros: Excellent quality control. Very lightweight. Excellent air flow. Lots of space.

Cons: "Human" engineering could be better. Use of the rear fan shroud actually raised CPU temp.'s for me. That may be due to my reverse flow heatsink fan. A few more access holes between sections would have been helpful.
The wheel rubber treads tends to wander. Seems to me the wheel break should be on the front, not back of the case. It only rolls front/back not to the side.

Other Thoughts: If this was a car, it would be a German model. The technical engineering is excellent. This case is better than 95%+ of the cases out there, but it has room for improvement. The external 5.25" mounting is primitive, being simple screw-in from both sides of a non-removable cage. The motherboard tray is also non-removable. Why put the USB/IEEE1394/Audio ports on the bottom of a full tower case that will be on the floor? The cable lengths from the ports to the typical motherboard location is just barely possible if the cables are routed diagonally. The panel between the lower section and the upper sections makes for a very tight corner on a standard ATX motherboard. The 3.5" lower drive section mounts are excellent. The only caveat there is the proprietary screws used. It would have been nice if a storage bin had been included so one would not have to worry about misplacing the extra screws. Believe it or not, I love this case. But it is more a BMW than a Lexus.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: I like the beauty of it. Great case with side window, solid casters. Everything is just well thought out and constructed. This is a great case that will last !! Lian-Li is the best. This is my second case.
Also great accessories available, and the airflow is very very good. Runs cool.

Cons: I bought the TT Toughpower 750W with it. Because of the botton location of the UPS you will need to flip the PSU around. You won't be able to see the logo of the UPS and the fan faces now downward towards the bottom of the case. That is not a problem though since the bottom of the case is a mash design and the UPS can draw air from the outside through the powersupply.

Other Thoughts: I wish the UPS bezel would be flippable allowing for different positioning of the UPS.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible case!

Pros: This case is incredible and much better than the pictures. The layout is suppurb (I can mount my water cool fan where the VGA fan is), the bottom is a grill (I didn't see that in the pictures), all the holes are smoothed, the aluminum is thicker than expected, it has a wheel brake (didn't see that), everything has finger knobs, the layout is superior to anything I have seen. The harddrives have special screws to install and "snap" in, then lock. MUCH, MUCH bigger than expected.

Cons: None. Shocked at the supurb quality. Like the saying goes, "Pay a little high, cry once--but never again. Pay not enough--cry everytime it doesn't work).

Other Thoughts: This case was engineered, not thrown together. I was looking at an Thermaltake Armor--hard drives to hard to remove, tight HD locations (blocks rear PSU fan), silly doors, Kandaulf needs extra cases or only holds a few HD's. The CoolerMaster 830 Stacker is a big case, but doesn't hold many HD's (my current CoolerMaster only holds one less). For the same price as the 830, this thing blows it away! Can't say enough good things about it.
