Lian Li Fine Craftmanship Product
The new internal layout has the motherboard on top of the power supply unit, which allows for easier access to the motherboard as well as more room above, thus larger CPU coolers can be used. The power supply unit at the button of the case is cooled with fresh cool air directly from the outside of the case, instead of pre-heated air from within. This will bring down the core temperatures and extend the lifespan of the PSU significantly.

The new PC-7FN is a mid-tower case, which is ideal for the latest graphics cards in combination with the best thermal dynamics.Easily adjustable to optimize your hardware setup. 5 out of 5 eggsWonderful case!

Pros: My second Lian-li case. Quality shows everywhere as expected from the brand, and the price. Hard drive cages have good damping....cannot hear my hard drive anymore. Plenty of room to get around and route your cables. It is aluminum.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: No front USB 3.0 port yet.

5 out of 5 eggsGo to case for other people's builds.

Pros: I've been building systems for a few years (I'm 15) and ever since this came and went on permanent sale for about 99$ (Is it really a sale then?) this has been my go to case for building other people's systems. (Or at least the people who want a relatively high end computer that has a bit of flash to it.)

It's got flash, but it has style, sophistication, even subtlety in it's exterior design, in contrast to other cases I guess haha. The brushed aluminum is my favorite aspect of Lian Li cases (I own a pc 9f). It's extremely light.

The wire management is very well thought out. I can shimmy just about any cable through the top holes whether going in and out and in and around the backplate area.

Cons: Dull black plastic power/reset buttons.

though one of the holes to the right side of an ATX motherboard is pretty far off from the 24 pin plug which was just an odd annoyance as I've been trying to train myself to have top-tier wire management and I have to see more cable like this.

It has so few cons that I have to nitpick so much.

Front panel comes off almost.. too easily? It just needs to be a bit tighter in there and it'd be fine. It just seems like I could pull a tiny bit and it'd come off.

Pros: This case has perfect cooling features for my needs. Layout is fantastic with USB & power on front top location. Best of all is the $40 discount plus the $30 promo code. This case only cost me $69.99 free shipping. WTG Newegg.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I let everyone that I know about this deal. Thanks!

4 out of 5 eggsSolid case

Pros: It's a nice case. Solid build quality, nice design.

Cons: Misses some of the higher end features (PCI bracket, vented slats, top fan, etc.) I might have paid for if I shopped around longer.

Other Thoughts: The PC-K62 trades the aluminum build for some more features. The PC-P50 is all around a better case for a little more.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Looks awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Good amount of space for a Midtower.I have two Evga GTX 470's running in SLI in mine with no trouble.

Cons: No window or top mounted 120 or 140mm fan. Also you only get usb 2.0 ports on top.

Other Thoughts: No window but you can buy a windowed side panel for it.I would have bought the one with the window already but it was out of stock.

5 out of 5 eggsALuminum Fun

Pros: Perfect for a low budget sandy bridge build. Plenty of room for the excessive cables of the psu. Light weight and very clean install. Room for cables to hide behind the motherboard. Very quiet fan operation.

Cons: Unsure of durability of stock sleeved fans. May have to replace them with liquid filled bearing fans. Sleeved fans typically don't last long in the desert environment of New MExico.

Other Thoughts: Love the modest approach for case design.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for the money

Pros: - aside from the blue LED fan in the front, the design is classy
- well made through out
- bottom PSU
- mostly tool-less
- all aluminum constructoin
- lian li build quality fit and finish
- nice size, not too big, but big enough for a full size rig

Cons: - skimps on extras like VGA holddown brackets, external esata
- panels can rattle when DVD and HD spin up, but it looks like there were little pad stickers I was supposed to use
- could use some top fans

Other Thoughts: At this ~$100 pricepoint, I think this all aluminum case is a good value. This case shares many of the same features of lian li's more expensive models. To get to that price point, you don't get a lot of extras you would get in similarly priced steel cases from other brands like cool master. I think it is a fair balance of value and quality.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Quality

Pros: Lian Li knows how to built a case!

It is easy to see real craftsmanship in this case. Everything is well thought out from solid cable management to tool-less design.

The hard drive bays have great anti-vibration configuration using easily swappable hard drive holders that slide in and out of the case using little rubber wheels that fit onto a sort of track.

The aluminum is strong and makes it super light so if you go to LAN parties its perfect.

Looking from the outside, its not the prettiest of the bunch, but I love the minimalistic design. Get this if you don't like the ridiculous and obnoxious lights and laughable cheap plastic nonsense that other mid to high end cases often have.

I was almost turned off by the lack of fans, but I overclock my core2 quad and radeon 5870 with no problems. The airflow design is great.

Cons: The paint scratches easily, but that is common in aluminum cases.

Its really ugly at first, but once you realize the awesomeness of it, you become overly fond of it. Kinda like how a pug is so ugly its cute.

If you don't like blue, I don't think the LED's turn off. However, there not really bright or anything.

While cooling is good, you could never go wrong with an extra fan on top or at least vents.

Warranty sucks, but the case is so high quality that I don't expect to have any problems for many years to come.

The fans can get a little on the loud side, but if your using a high end graphics card, its pales in comparison.

Be very careful with the fans, especially when your system is on as the blades are super thin.

With some cd drives, it might be a little hard to use the clamps to keep them in place. You have to push it pretty hard. Though, that depends a little on your drive.

Other Thoughts: I think 140 is a little pricey. I got mine for 70, but I would pay up to a 100. Wait for it to go on sale.

Cable management is good, not great. Everything is nicely sleeved, and you can mostly get it behind the motherboard. However, your cables to your hard drives will get smashed a little where they attach to your drive as the hard drive connectors will face you if you open the case on its left side. I think its worth it to get the hard drives in and out fast, but it made me a little nervous how hard I had to bend the power cable.

Overall, I love this thing and would recommend it to anyone who wants a greatly designed high quality case. While the newbs at LAN parties might scuff at you for having an ungly non-flashy case like them, people that know what they are talking about will notice its awesomeness and will be impressed.

5 out of 5 eggsNice and light. good space

Pros: Roomy. Having power supply on the bottom helped with modular cables not having to fight for space against dvd/cd drives. Goes together nicely. HDD tracks slide in and out very easy and are on rubber washers. minimizing sound vibrations. nice addition. Windscreens on both front fan and bottom case grill added plus for limiting dust flow into the case.

Cons: Can't remove mobo plate. Makes it a bit tight getting that last screw in near input ports. Front 140mm fan Nice and quiet, but you need to remove the whole HDD bracket in order to get fan out. (bad if fan should ever fail). Expansion bay plates are grilled and let lots of air through. Can be both good or bad for air flow, but does results in letting dust/hair in the case very easily. Kinda defeats the purpose of the windscreens on front and bottom of the case.

Other Thoughts: Overall, the case was great. But do have a few pointers. Non of which would take away an egg rateing.
Left side of case has very little room between mobo plate and side door. just enough to fit a CPU power cable and my usb control cables. Can't really pass much else through and still get the side door to close.
No lip on the doors. It has toungs on both top and bottom. So you can just sit the bottom on a lip, and get the top to slide and lock. Can be good, prevents pinching cables.
No all edges have been polished, so there will be a few sharp edges.
Power/Reset and front USB and audio ports are on TOP of the case. May pose a problem if you have your case live up underneath a desk. Also want to be sure if your placing anything on top the case that it doesn't push the buttons.
