5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case

Pros: This case was a dream to build with. You could nearly break down the case into its individual pieces without more than a screwdriver. Between the quick releases, tool-less 5.25" drive bays, hard drive rack, removable motherboard tray, and built in cable management, I had my fastest and most problem free build yet.

Externally, the case is gorgeous. Anyone who has seen a Lian Li case in person knows how good the brushed, anodized aluminum looks. The "front" ports and power/reset buttons are perfectly located. I've even used the built in wheels a few times (sliding the case into place at my desk), which is more than I thought I'd get out of them.

Cons: Cost. I'm not docking any stars for this, as I feel I got what I paid for, but this is not a case for the budget gamer.

I'm not a big fan of the 3 LED fans - they're a bit gaudy, but thankfully not too bright. Still, an off-switch for LEDs would have been appreciated (I know I could have clipped the LED leads on the fans themselves, but I'll live with it for now). Also, while we're on the fans, the front two intake fans are filtered, but you have to take the hard drive cage out in order to remove them for cleaning. This might get irritating.

As others have mentioned, the hard drive cage is all or nothing. It would have been nice to have it removable in halves for those w/out a bunch of drives installed.

Other Thoughts: The front USB 3.0 on this case are pass through cables - they're not meant for a USB 3.0 header. Lian Li makes an adapter for this though - part # UC-01.

The color of this case is hard to capture in photos. I'd say mine is more of a crimson/wine color. The anodized aluminum looks incredible in person, but don't expect this to be Fire Engine Red.

Lastly, the button on the 5.25" needed to be padded with a bit of foam and tape in order to work consistently with the drive behind it.

Overall, I'd highly recommend this case to anyone if their budget can allow it.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Pros:
- More or less screwless... (sans PSU, a few other things)
- Fairly silent with 3x 120mm LED Fans (red) and 1x non LED 120mm
- Pro / con = wheel system
- Can take apart everything
- Easy cable management
- Great gaming / LAN case
- Can store most high end hardware
- Built in stealing of optical drives
- Comes with screw organizer

Cons: - Not a whole lot of expansion options for optical / 5.25" / 3"? on the front (2 x optical slots and room for a fan controller or floppy drive)
- Wheels are not multi-directional...
- Not completely screwless
- Instructions could use work... translation is bad
- If the case is damaged in shipping... good luck gonna cost you
- Expensive case, there are cases just as nice and as light for half this cost

Other Thoughts: Lian Li, despite the drawbacks of this case, made a portable, lightweight silent case excellent for gamers.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case, but not perfect.

Pros: 1. Red
2. Very polished, nice build quality
3. Tooless mechanisms work well
4. Well thought out design
5. Nice, thick aluminum panels

Cons: 1. DVD bezel button may not reach DVD Drive.

The DVD bezel it comes with is a nice touch, since it would've been a pain to have to buy separate bezels just to cover up your ugly DVD drive. But the problem is the drives mount just a touch too far back, and by default the buttons on the bezel can't be pushed to touch the button on the DVD drive :\ A simple solution is to put a piece of sticky foam on the DVD drive button, so the bezel button can reach it.

2. Mobo tray somewhat hard to slide in/out

For some reason, it never wants to cooperate at the last bit when you push it in. Not a big deal, just gotta do it slowly.

3. Mobo tray unable to open/close with H50 cooler

One corner of the radiator on the H50 will conflict with the back panel. You can mount it inside the case, but it will have to be removed before you can slide the mobo tray in or out.

4. HDD cage is one piece (can't remove only top or bot half)

Would be nice to have a half-cage for more airflow

5. Ex

Other Thoughts: This is a very nice case with some flaws, both design wise and build wise, that prevents it from being perfect for me. It comes with all the polish and pomp of any top end Lian Li case, and the red anodizing is very rich and well done. I mostly talked about the cons, since the Lian Li brand speaks for itself.

One thing though, all the pictures I've seen online (and even some of my own) shows a pinkish hue in the case, but that is not the case (har har). The color is very much red in person, so worry not.

Overall, I really like this case and I enjoyed working in it. Each nitpick I named can be overcome by a making few simple changes. Use a piece of sticky foam on the DVD drive easily solves the bezel problem, using a different cooler than the H50 solves the mobo tray problem, and Lian Li sells a half HDD cage that won't block as much airflow from the top front fan.

Though on a $300 case, I wish these were already addressed. But if you've got the money and red is your thing, g

5 out of 5 eggsDeep Red

Pros: Great cooling, removable motherboard tray, good space behind the tray for thick cables, CPU cutout lines up with the backplate, can fit 12" video cards. Can hold long power supplies. Tool-less motherboard installation. Perfect sized mid-tower. Durable red anodized finish.

Cons: No PCI tool-less thumb bracket(PC-01) that comes with other Lian Li cases. If you install your own, the side panel will interfere with the bracket. HDD cage is one piece and can't be split into two of removed.

Other Thoughts: I know many of you think this case looks pinkish. The color is actually a deep, rich red color. One of the best looking cases I've had. I got it through someone that bought it from Newegg.
