5 out of 5 eggsI love this case

Pros: Everything about this case is wonderful, I love the tool-less design, I love the rubber mounting options for almost everything. It is extremely quiet. Every step of computer assembly is made that much easier having such a well designed case.

Cons: I have yet to find anything I really don't like, I suppose if I had to find something... When removing the side panels make sure when you put them back on that the thumbscrew units are pulled out like they would be when you removed the side! I have yet to actually damage anything but there have been a few moments of frustration wondering why my case wasn't closing cleanly.

Other Thoughts: The main reason I am writing this review here is because in many other newegg reviews, as well as reviews else where, I have seen a lot of people mention their displeasure that the fan controller would not reach the fans, and also they were somewhat displeased that the usb from the top needed to be threaded out that back and hooked up to the motherboard that way. Well, my case came with huge extension cables for each fan in the case to hook up to the fan controller, they are plenty long and already connected, Also, the usb was a header interface that hooks right into the motherboard without threading out the back! I a sure that they have made these modifications in all future batches, so don't be put off by those comments!

5 out of 5 eggsINSANE

Pros: Where do I start... IDK. EVERYTHING!!!!!! It holds this really massive "mini-supercomputer" with EASE.

Cons: 3 things
1. Fan controller- terrible. No instructions, and not hooked up.
2. Manual stinks.
3. A bit pricey

Other Thoughts: Best.Case.EVER.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding case!.....and BIG!

Pros: Almost everything. Very easy to work in. Plenty of room. Large enough to hold almost anything you want to put i it. Very good cooling. Sturdy construction. Very good looking case.

Cons: A few minor nit picks. I still haven't figured out the fan controller. The manual is pure garbage. My biggest issue is the top USB 3.0 ports have to be routed out of the case and plugged into the motherboard. I HATE that! lol.

Very expensive. It's by far the best case I've ever used, but almost $500 may be a bit much. I'm still very pleased with it though.

Other Thoughts: Best case I've ever seen and/or used. Besides the nit-picks above, everything is great. I refuse to knock an egg off because it's not the definition of perfection. You may want to try to catch it on sale, though.

5 out of 5 eggsLARGEST CASE ON NEWEGG

Pros: HUGE! tons of room for future upgrades,

THICK side panels & Door,

i love the black interior

*ALSO the interior on mobo tray has the oval upgraded hols most cases have now, but without those rubber flaps. big plus for better cable management.

comes with 5 fans but will swap them out later (Aero cool shark mabey).

it locks and has 2 optional holes on rear to add your own keyed locks to prevent component tampering.

BEST cooling with all the fan mounts.

wheels, will be useful once my build is complete.

HDD anti vibration kit is pretty cool.

and all the wires are labels so i know where to plug them in.

comes with box to keep spare parts.

Simply its an AWESOME case.

Cons: USB 3.0 cables have to be routed out the case and to mobo to use top usb ports :( should have made them as a plug directly to mobo.

when u look at the case from top the side panels kind of have a gap so they aren't flush to the case.

the aluminum interior is kinda bendable so be careful when putting pressure on the trays or they might bend.

at $400 it should at least come with aftermarket fans and a better controller. good thing i bought it when it was on sale for $291.99 :)

no hot swap bay like on the Corsair 800D.

lots of mispelled word in the instructions (not a prob though didn't need the instructions)

Other Thoughts: i agree with the user below it should have had 3 140mm fans on top instead of the 120's.

overall this is a TOP of the line case and i recomend it to everyone just check daily to see if it goes on sale again, just don't see this case $400 worth, more like $250-290.

i will make a youtube review later when i have time, i will also post it on here.

5 out of 5 eggsMassive Size Total Quality

Pros: Easy to Build In
Beautifully Made
Nice fit and finish -- no sharp edges
Lots of Spare Parts
Everything nicely threaded and tapped.
Built-In Fan Controller

Cons: Old Style USB 3.0 plugs
Limited Instructions
Could use rubber grommets around the internal cable pass-throughs.

Other Thoughts: Do not buy this case if space is limited, its nearest relative is the monolith from 2001 A Space Odyssey The removable motherboard tray and psu bracket make installation a breeze. The wheels and the aluminum construction make it portable and maneuverable There is a a compartmentalized box to keep the spares in. I managed to plug in all 4 of the front panel USBs using a S****stone adapter and an internal PCIe made by K***tech, but it would be nice if the case came with a connector to the header or 3.0 adapters. Using the ROG 990 MB with new FX 8150. Fan is a Zalman 9900 135mm -- looks tiny in this case. Attached 4 of the case fans to the included fan controller and one to the MB. The nearest competitor is that case named for a volcanic rock made by the piratical company - no doubt a good case. but this LL is finer.
Kudos to Newegg for giving me a credit when the price dropped after I made my purchase but before my build.
Plenty of room for SLI or Crossifre if you're so inclined. Enj

5 out of 5 eggsMaybach of Full Towers

Pros: 1) Oozes quality.

Super thick brushed aluminum side panels. Anodized interior. Incredibly sturdy front door. Sound dampening foam on the side panels.

2) Layout and ease of use.

This case is absolutely massive. You can easily fit 360mm + 280mm + 120mm rads in here simultaneously.

Cable management holes galore (despite what the Newegg photos show)! Locking wheels for easy transport. Lots and lots of places to mount hard drives. I only have two drives so I mounted them next the PSU at the very bottom. I also took the massive HDD rack out to improve airflow. There is a bottom plate with cable management holes that sections off the PSU and a small 3-HDD rack. Side panels only require a single non-removable screw (per panel). REMOVABLE MOBO TRAY!

3) Performance.

2 front bottom 140mm intake fans, 1 mid 140mm fan for graphics cards (on a standard ATX board), 1 front top 120mm fan, perforated 5.25" bays for increased intake airflow, 1 rear 120mm exhaust, built in watercool

Cons: I suppose the price is a con, but this is literally a top-of-the-line case.

Would have been nice to have 3 x 140mm fan mounts at the top for a beefier watercooling radiator instead of 3 x 120mm.

The locking mechanism for the wheels is a bit difficult to use. I find myself lifting the case slightly when I want to unlock the wheels.

My Seasonic X-650's 8-pin CPU ATX power cord is too short to route behind the mobo tray. I have to route it across the mobo to plug it in.

Other Thoughts: This is literally the best case I've ever seen, let alone used. I'm tempted to say it's perfect, but there were just a few minor nitpicks. I used to own a Lian Li Rocketfish, which is similar to an A71F, and the V2120X is a huge improvement. The quality of the aluminum is far better and the case is much more user-friendly when building and swapping out components.

My build:

V2120X
i7 970 @ 4.1GHz
Asus X58 Sabertooth
3 x 2GB Mushkin Blackline DDR3 1600 7-8-7-20 1.65v
2 x reference HD6950 with unlocked shaders
2 x Western Digital Caviar Blue 640GB RAID 0
D-Link DWA-556 802.11g/n
Seasonic X-650
Prolimatech Megahalems push/pull (will definitely upgrade to watercooling soon)

5 out of 5 eggsThe Case I Should Have Gotten in the First Place

Pros: Extremely well thought-out design and excellently crafted. Heavy gauge aluminum and side-panel sound dampening material make this a very solid and very quiet case, but because of the airflow properties, everything stays comfortably cool inside. To enhance airflow further, I opted for SilverStone Air Penetrator fans for the three front intakes, as they are very well-suited for intake applications where high static pressure air flow is desired. I also opted for the all-black anodized interior of the PC-V2120X, because I may mod one door with some plexi in the future -- not quite sure yet; otherwise, I would have just as happily opted for the Lian Li PC-V2120B, which sports a shiny aluminum interior instead of the all-black interior of the PC-V2120X.

Cons: Not really a "con" per se, but my only nit-pick is that the entire interior of the Lian Li PC-V2120X is, by design, black anodized aluminum and black powder coat, but the top rail that holds the slide-out motherboard tray is shiny steel, so it stands out as a bit of an oddity in an otherwise all-black interior.

Other Thoughts: I originally tried flying economy by purchasing a Lian Li PC-A71F case, but in the end, I sent back the PC-A71F and opted, instead, for the more costly (and well worth it) Lian Li PC-V2120X. Ultimately, I'm very glad that I made the switch.

5 out of 5 eggsnice case

Pros: sound dampening, removable mb tray, lots of configurations, can connect corsair H70, H60, H50's via the top 120 slots, also contains a mount for dual 2.5 ssd slot for 3.5 bay (do not have to buy one) can hold the SR-2 with modifications ( the recommend to take out the 140mm fan but you can reverse the panel and grind out a corner of the fan to make it work ) lots of anti vibration grommets for 3.5 configs and tool-less design is nice

Cons: Its a great case but...
cable management could be better, its just ok... can route the usb connectors out the back for the front panel connectors.. on the SR-2 the HD audio is right near your pcie slot which really sucks but the cable is long enough to work ..but you may want to rethink connecting it in that you might have problems on SLI configs.. the mb tray will not hold the SR-2 completely. That board is so big that it will extend 1 inch more past the tray making it barely fitting up to the front 3.5 bays.... Does not have dust covers or grills for the top 120 slots.. you will have to buy a cover for your fans to make sure nothing goes in there.. wish they had rubber stand offs to make the SR-2 a little more solid

Other Thoughts: This has more screws than you can shake a stick at .. which is nice.. extra everything .. but it would be nice to have a side fan or window option with this amount of money .. its also pretty heavy .. and quiet .. I am running SR-2 with 2 corsair H60's and 3 evga 470 GTX's w/1200 psu and 2 SSD's .. its really quiet and does the job.. but expensive.....

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case but expensive

Pros: case is very big with plenty of room to hide cables and looks great. The fans run silent and keep everything cool. i like the way it is laid out with the power supply on the bottom.

Cons: no window !! i took one egg of for bad documentation and like other reviews i could not figure out how to get the case fan controller working. the only other issue i had was the cpu cooler i used (Thermalright Archon) is too big to install with the MB tray removed, i was not able to push it back in and ended up installing it with the tray inside the case.

Other Thoughts: my power supply cables are not long enough to reach the 8 pin eatx 12v port and the 24 pin main power cable barely fit so ended up having to buy extensions for both, no big deal but i only wish i had known about this earlier so i could have included it with my order.

ASUS Crosshair IV Formula
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
Thermalright Archon CPU cooler
ASUS HD6950 (another second one still to come)
16 gig G.Skill Ripjaw DDR3 1600
Zalman zm1000-hp
Plextor 12x blu-ray writer
2x Western Digital Cavair for boot (raid 1)
3X Western Digital Cavair for data (Raid 5)
WIN 7 ultimate
