4 out of 5 eggsGreat case for modding!

Pros: All aluminum construction, except for the threaded parts, which have stainless inserts. I have yet to strip a thread on a Lian Li case or part.

Extremely well-made. I trust Lian Li for all of my computer cases.

Cons: Had some difficulty fitting older Lian Li parts into this case. Also, I couldn't mount a hard drive in the 3.5 bay because the mounting holes were misaligned. Front exhaust design is a joke. I have the front fan running intake instead.

Other Thoughts: I originally wanted an A04 for the build I was doing but couldn't find one in stock. Went with the A05 and couldn't be happier. Definitely not as solid as my old 3077 case, but it's solid enough and just as well-made. Lighter, too. Possibly a better option in the end, and the price was right.
Thanks, NewEgg!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat quality, no 140mm fan grill

Pros: Sleek smooth no frills design... The way the power supply mounts is amazing.

Cons: -1 egg because they have an optional 140mm fan mount and there is no fan grill to go with it!... also the CORSAIR H90 DOES NOT FIT... the radiator will not clear the mobo. Don't make the same mistake I did. Now I gotta RMA my watercooler :(

Other Thoughts: This case is great. Just remember, if you want to run a 140mm exhaust fan you need to buy a fan grill.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: One of the best cases I've ever owned -- I don't know why I didn't buy a Lian Li case earlier. The all aluminum construction means it's light but still strong (compared to picking up an old-fashioned steel case, you can really tell the difference). Everything gets routed nice and easy and easy on the inside, and there's ample space to hide cables so that it looks tidy.

Cons: The only downside is when you choose to mount a fan on the top fo the case, there's no grate protecting the fan -- it's basically just an open hole right into your computer. I've been careful not to drop anything down it, but it'd be terrible if anything does.

Other Thoughts: Seriously, aluminum cases are light. It's amazing. Definitely worth the money.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: As always with a Lian Li case, it is well built and looks good. Components are easy to long as they are small enough.

Cons: This case really can fit a full size ATX board, power supply and GPU, but it becomes a very tight fit when using full size parts. The front power supply position is an excellent use a space, but if you are using a power supply that is longer than average then it can interfere with ports on your motherboard. For me it blocked 3 out of the 6 SATA connectors and forced me to use right-angle connectors on the ports that I could use.

Other Thoughts: I knew about the size limitations but bought this case anyway. In the end I am glad I did. If you are patient then you can assemble this well even with full size parts. Just don't expect to open it up and tinker with it often!

5 out of 5 eggsMost fun build ever!

Pros: 1. Good price, good deliver, good packaging.
2. Attractive smallest case that fits an ATX but looks like an mATX case.
3. Most everything that you need is included, even the post speaker that I stressed I had no post speaker and there it was included LOL Lots of nice screws.
4. It is EASY to work with, in fact, much easier than an mATX case in which it is hard to get both hands inside at once, but no such problem with this case.

Cons: 1. The unusual power supply placement, of course. I always wondered why someone didn't put a PS in that big empty space at the bottom front of the case, and Lian Li has!
2. I stressed that the PS I had was extra long and what was I to do? There are an extra set of bracket holes at the bottom, so just move the rear fastening bracket over to the alternate set. Problem solved. The ATX motherboard I had still left plenty of room and cable management was not a problem. I did stress when ordering though LOL

Other Thoughts: I am dumbfounded what a beautiful and well thought-out case this is. It doesn't go together any quicker than a normal case because there is ALWAYS some extra bracket or do-wicky to deal with such as the quick releases on the drive case. After the build is all together, one does marvel at how good the build looks. I didn't find the metal work to be flimsy as I've had other AL cases before. Let's just say that you don't bang around an AL case, because that's not their purpose. Their purpose is to be light-weight and look attractive and this fits the bill perfectly. I am happy.

5 out of 5 eggsSleek

Pros: Sleek, smooth, minimalistic brushed black aluminum finish
Everything is logical and fits nicely together
Second one of these I've owned, my son has the first one
Looks terrific there, replacing a 10 year old yellow case
Did I mention that it is beautiful?

Cons: No room behind motherboard tray for cable routing
Only room for three 3.5" hard drives

Other Thoughts: Power supply sits at bottom front of case. my old supply had too short a lead to connect to the motherboard. got a new supply. never a bad idea.

5 out of 5 eggsTop Notch built case

Pros: Good quality
easy to install items in case
like the front mount power supply
Air movement is very good
Everything well thought out and designed
Room to run cables behind motherboard tray.
Some has said metal is thin, but its of high quality of which makes up.
Very good finish inside and out

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Anyone that says that this case is hard to work with, should see some of the cases I have built over the last 14 years.
I had cut fingers, knuckles etc from these cases. I am used all different brands, some better than others.

3 out of 5 eggsSLI users beware

Pros: Solid, lightweight construction. Good quality parts, lots of rubber anti-vibration mounting grommets, support for 2 2.5" drives that didn't feel like an afterthought. Conservatively attractive; To-The-Max Xtreme Bro Gamers need not apply.

Cons: My 2nd video card did not fit. With my ASUS Z87-A mobo ( and Corsair RM850 PSU (, my 2nd Geforce 770 ( would not fit. It butts up against the PSU leaving no room for me to mount any power cords.

Other Thoughts: A friend of mine has this unit with a different mother board and runs SLI just fine, so this will work with some mobos but not others. He loves it, and if I could, I'd keep it too.

5 out of 5 eggsA Thing Of Beauty When Complet

Pros: Very sharp looking. Light weight, quiet. Beautiful finish. Comes with two fans installed, which do a good job keeping it cool. USB 3.0 at front. Gives a very professional appearance when complete.

Cons: Some sharp edged inside, but not too much of a factor as long as you are careful (I have seen a lot worse). A bit pricey, but if gotten on sale a good value. Bottom floor mount for SSD a bit tight for cables, so you may choose to use an adapter instead and mount up front. Make sure you have an adapter on hand prior so you have the option to do so.

Other Thoughts: This is a unique design with the PS mounted at the front. Also has a reverse cooling design which pushes air through the front side slots. I was a little concerned about this at first, but is seems to work well. Cable management takes a little bit of time, but if you have patients and are good at wire management, the end result will please you. Lots of room behind MB tray for wires to hide.

5 out of 5 eggsReally Happy with this Case

Pros: -Sleek and Simple but still has a clean/sharp WoW factor!
-Very Light but sturdy
-LED's are visible but not over powering/annoying when in the dark
-Like the tool less design to pull everything off
- Good Air Flow even with reverse direction design (PS unit sits in the front of tower compared to back)
-They have a lot of rubber stoppers from the peg legs to fastening HDD/SSD and PS to reduce noise and vibration
-Cable management is straight to the point with just enough access holes.
- I really like that its ALL aluminum

Cons: -The reset button is works and can be pressed...just the diameter is a little small and have to apply a decent amount of pressure to activate it. They could have increased the size for better access when pressing with finger.
-Power Supply in the front is a cool different design but when plugging in main wires like the power connector to the Mother board it created an unnecessary issue. When trying to configure all the wires into the side that houses all the "mess" the power cable is a standard length but since the PS is right next to the power connector for the MB it has an abnormal amount of extra slack that needs to be tucked into the side panel. Plus you have to rotate the head of the plug 180 degrees to line up with the MB receiver so it creates extra stress/tension on both the wire and MB
-Some GPU's might not fit into this case because of the close proximity with the PS and GPU. Make sure to check dimensions "twice" and I am only running one GPU but if I wanted to do SLI/Crossifre there wouldn't be enough room because of the inference with the GPU and PS . (To be more clear its not really the GPU backing into the PS unit, its the cables that are coming out of the PS that will cause a problem with the GPU touching each other, they give an extra 1/2-1' depending how dense your cables are.

Other Thoughts: The did a good job overall, provided enough room for everything if you plan and map out your components right. Some people complain that the side walls a flimsy, flex out, and bend. The case is made out of aluminum lol, its not stainless steel. They are plenty sturdy for anything you throw into the case or "throw the case itself" if your transporting it lol.
