1 out of 5 eggsHDD cage does NOT come out

Pros: It's pretty.

Cons: The marketing material says the HDD cage is removable. That is wrong. It is, in fact, quite firmly riveted in place. The TRAY at the bottom of the case can be removed but there's no way to get the gigantic cage out of it. If you're thinking about cramming a big PSU in this, think again.

Other Thoughts: I've been buying parts from newegg since 2001. I've never written a review before today. But the marketing materials for this are downright misleading.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat small size, painful install.

Pros: Case is small and very quiet. I feel confident of the build quality.

Cons: The front fan of mine kept hitting the dust filter causing an awful noise. I solved it by putting a few screw washers in between the fan and the filter. The metal coating of the case attracts finger prints and oil like I couldn't believe. The biggest problem I had is the HDD backplanes. Troubleshooting has been a b*#$h. Had to test everything to know for sure and in the end, it was one of the backplanes that was dead. Not sure how I'm going to RMA it. I'd rather just get a new backplane from Lian Li but I'm not sure that's an option.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Built a PC for a friend with this case with a final price of 35.99!!! Just insane how cheap this aluminum case was. So much room for expansion I loved the layout. Rubber mounted everything, tool-less disassembly, a real fun little case that looks great and was simple to build with. Was a shame to have actually give it away I missed the case that much.

Paired with some quiet fans you will hardly even hear it running. Simple lines of the case look great and it will fit into a ton of small spaces. The dust filters on the fans are one of my fav parts the fans remove easily for cleaning( Great for dog/cat owners.)

Cons: For the price I can't fault anything really, MAYBE you can find a gripe with no front usb ports but that's it.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Case

Pros: This case is incredibly well designed for the price, I currently have 5 3.5" HDDs and 1 2.5" SSD in there. It uses a backplane for the hard drives to plug in so you don't need as many power ports on the power supply, which is kind of nice.

The way the whole 5 drive bay system works with the rails and locking mechanism is really creative.

The way the fans are designed to cool, including using the power supply fan, gives the case a real good amount of air flow.

Cons: Cables going to the back of the hard drives are a little snug, but that's to be expected in a more compact case design.

No USB port on the front of the unit, which makes it more inconvenient for booting off a flash drive.

The standard ATX power supply was a little tight due to the way the cables come out of the front of the supply. It puts them directly against the drive cage.

Other Thoughts: The case sides pop off without screws which is both a pro and a con. I had to maneuver my cables a little more because the pressure they were putting on the side behind the drive bay was causing it to pop out a little.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case - awful service

Pros: The case, as with all Lian Li cases I own is great - top quality, excellent fit and finish

Cons: none except for Neweggs onerous return policies

Other Thoughts: This is my last purchase from Newegg - they USED to be a good place to buy from.

5 out of 5 eggsNAS build - Very Happy

Pros: Side panels pop off without any screws.
5 HD bays with a backplane.
Thumb screws everywhere.
High quality.

Cons: 140mm front fan rattles on occasion and needs to be fiddled with.
Front LED is too bright for my room so I disconnected it.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case along with 5 x 3TB drives for a FreeNAS file server and this case is perfect. It couldn't be any more perfect for this application.
Take care when choosing a power supply. I went with the Silverstone ST45SF and I have plenty of room to spare. (A normal power supply will block access to the motherboard or may not fit at all.)

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case

Pros: Great looking case
Very solid construction
Holds a lot of drives in a very small space
5 Hotswap bays
Easy to get side panels on and off
Can change heatsink without de-installing motherboard
Removable motherboard tray

Cons: Fan does not blow directly across all drives
Hard drive noise
Blue LED too bright
Some PSU's may have issues without Lian's adapter
Hotswaps aren't entirely plug and play

Other Thoughts: This is my first Lian Li product. The very first thing that stood out upon arrival was how solidly constructed the entire unit was. The metal used is significantly thicker than any other case I have previously owned. Even with someone telling you it may still surprise you as well. The finish is quite nice. A very solid and good looking case for sure (looks better in person).

The only thing about the case that I did not like were the overly bright blue led and that the harddrive cage was not sufficiently decoupled from the rest of the case to help with hard drive noise. Sound dampening did not help much.

Also the hot swap bays require plastic rails to be installed on the hard drives (Enough rails are included for all 5 hotswap bays). This system does work, but if for instance you wanted to swap out one of your drives, taking it out and putting it back in is quite easy, but you have to de-install the rail and re-install it on the other drive (which will likely require a screwdriver). So not an entirely instant and toolless process, but still a nice and welcome addition. This design also does a good job of implementing hot swap style bays while still maintaining a good path for airflow.

Also, the system used for the doors seems to work quite well. Very easy to get on and off.

Overall, I am I really impressed with the build quality and craftsmanship of the product, and will definitely consider Lian Li for any future needs.

5 out of 5 eggsLIAN LI PC-Q25B

Pros: A true work of art. For such a small form factor case there is an incredible amount of room in this thing. Completely sleek exterior makes for a nice show piece, fits well even on an entertainment stand. Side panels have a secure, low risk for breakage attachment mechanism and the fans are near silent with no-tool removable air filters. The HDD bays and sliders have very nice fitment, once they're locked in there is very little to no play in them. Bottom tray mounting system is also easy to use and secure.

Cons: It attracts finger prints!

Other Thoughts: This is a multi-use home server machine. "Idle" is 2 empty Minecraft servers and a rather busy seedbox. Other services running include FTP, RDP, WINS, Active Directory with file and media shares.

CPU: Intel Pentium G3420 3.2Ghz Dual Core
RAM: 2X4GB G.Skill Ripjaws DDR31600 9-9-9-24
PSU: Corsair CX430M
OS Drive: Samsung 830 64GB SSD
Seed Drive: Samsung 830 64GB SSD
Storage: 2 Seagate 3TB in RAID1

4 out of 5 eggsCompact + Pretty = Really SMALL

Pros: Compact Case, Really nice aluminum finish. SImple design. Quiet. HDD Space! Modular Fan System is awesome!

Cons: Did I mention it was small? In order for me to get the motherboard in there and wired, i have to remove the power supply while leaving the PS attached to the MB. It's almost too small. An extra couple of inches to the length would definitely help make the cable runs actually have room.

Other Thoughts: If the hdd caddy was designed for cable runs to the back of the system, this case would be much nicer. There is no real good way to run cables to the back of the caddy where you need to. Perhaps flip the caddy around so you insert the drives in the "rear" of the case while all of your cable connections would remain on the same side.

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding hotswap case

Pros: -Compact
-Hot swap!!!

Cons: Wasn't free...

Other Thoughts: I use this case as a wiping station for hard drives. It works perfectly since this is a hot swap case and you do not have to run cables to each hard drive. Plug in, wipe, and your done. I'm using a Lexar ZX micro USB to house multiple bootable ISO files including DBAN.
