5 out of 5 eggsLancool PC-K65

Pros: No Plastic, Steel, Removable Aluminum Front Panel, no lights, lots of room, ez build. 2 large intake fans and one large exhaust fan, it stays quiet and cool.

Cons: If I had to nitpick, I would have preferred it to be painted black on the inside. Not really a con just a preference.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case for my first computer build, Asus MB, i3 CPU, 8 Gigs of Kingston Ram, Corsair PSU. It took at the most 1 hour to build with this case and that is with cable management (made very easy with this case). The case is very well made and as strong as it is, could double as a step stool. Under $70 it's a steal. I wanted a case that didn't look like a low rider all decked out with lights and looking as if it were going to take off all wrapped in plastic. I love the look of Lian Li cases but worry (needlessly) about the all Aluminum this case give me the Lian Li look, build quality with the strength of steel. It's a keeper!!!

4 out of 5 eggsNot for the scrawny

Pros: It's steel, so it will always have a bite to it, but there were no burs and no blood was drawn in the processes of putting everything together.

Roomy! Would be great for a server case. And if you have a large gfx card you can nix the upper-half of the HDD cages.

Love the extra touches, like being tool-less where possible, quiet fans, fan filters, rubber grommets for mounting HDDs, and the foam padding for the PSU to rest on.

Very clean look. It doesn't draw attention to itself and just looks quite sleek. It's girl approved aesthetics!

Cons: This thing is SO heavy. Seriously. I can't lift it now the internals have been installed. I wouldn't trust putting it on a desk, and I've resorted to sliding it around on the floor with a piece of wood.

The hard drive cages aren't fully modular like the Lian Li cases I've used in the past. You just have two parts that screw together with 4 bays each. You also need to use the bay adapter that came with your ssd if you want to use an ssd in this case.

The rubber grommets for anti-vibration do not come preinstalled, and it took a bit of trial and error to figure out -which- grommets to use.

The fan vent for the PSU is on the bottom of the case, so the case needs to not be sitting on anything that can block the air flow. Also need to dust under there to prevent issues.

Other Thoughts: Would make the ultimate home server case. Quiet, unobtrusive, and 8 hdd bays.

Just make sure your cables are long enough otherwise you defeat the purpose of the cable management system.

4 out of 5 eggsNice but front panel not flat

Pros: Simple clean design, built like cases of old with modern features.

Cons: The front panel is a nice design isn't quite flat- it curves inward so that it doesn't line up with the drive bay panels. Otherwise would be a 5-egger.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Solid Case

Pros: Steel case with aluminum front.
Runs very quiet.
3 Large Fans
Rubber stands/parts to reduce noise vibrations.
3 air filters for Psu and front fans.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: What I find unique about this case is that it has a
spine-like structure in the back which holds your wires.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Excellent design, quality, and layout. Plenty of room. 3 large, slow moving fans move a lot of air silently. Fantastic price for what you get. I needed a new music production PC, with a lot of drives, and this case was (is) perfect for me. Top mounted power button is a plus. Just a great case, and worth a lot more than it costs IMO.

Cons: None whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: If you want a great case with all the room you need, and don't care for juvenile nonsense such as windows, LED fans and all that junk, this is a great case, great quality, and a great price.

3 out of 5 eggsPower On Button Died

Pros: This is a beautiful case and a pleasure to work in. Well thought out design.

Cons: The power on button on top of case stopped working after six months of infrequent use. If the power switch leads on the mother board are shorted the computer starts normally.

Other Thoughts: I sent an RMA request to Lian Li. We'll see how they handle it since it is still under warranty. I own and have built numerous PCs with Lian Li cases and this is the first problem I have encountered.

5 out of 5 eggsRigt amount of room

Pros: 2 140mm front fans, 1 120mm rear fan.

6-3.5" dive bays and 2-2.5" bays.

Pleanty of room for Sata connectors to my ASUS p5z77-v Motherboard, which are right angle to the board. Lots of room to route cables, includng a dedicated wire channel in the back. Case is quiet.

Mine came with 2 140mm front fans and 1 120mm rear fan, even though the description says only 1 front fan. Also the front (aluminum) and top (steel) are metal, not plastic.

Cons: The drive cage location puts the cables just a bit too close to the side panel. Case is not quite as nice as my other all aluminum Lian Li that this case is based on, but the price difference cancels that out.

Other Thoughts: Tried the same p8z77-v mb in another case that was 1 inch shorter and the sata cables would not fit or route easily. I struggled so much I gave up and purchased this case.

Recommend using angled sata drive connectors as they are close to the case side. Some sata power connectors may also be problematic. Fortunately I have a Seasonic Platinum PSU and the modular cables are flat and work OK with this case.

This case houses a Raid 6 server with 5 raid drives and 1 boot drive. This case went together 5 times faster than previous case. Amazing what 1" extra depth makes.

When I purchased, the case was $20 off, probably the best case for the money I have ever purchased and I have purchased at least 20 cases in the past 10 years.

5 out of 5 eggssolid, very easy to work with

Pros: - Very sturdy. As far as I can tell, everything is metal. Even the cover for the USB/audio ports on the top and the 5.25" bay covers.
- No tools required, except to loosen a few thumb screws that were too tight. I also used some of the regular screws provided to secure my DVD drive.
- Three fans, which are all very quiet.
- Grommets to support internal drives so they aren't "bolted down".
- The "cable clamp" thing is pretty useful.
- The panel connectors are well-labeled.
- The separate "Power" and (recessed) "Reset" buttons are useful, since it allows you to repurpose the "Reset" button.
- I like the "just a metal box" look and feel of the case. I'm running it as a server, so I wanted a practical case.

Cons: - There's a tab for a case lock, but it doesn't prevent removal of the *other* side of the case. You probably couldn't steal the hardware from that side, however.
- There isn't a good way to pick it up other than bear-hugging it.

Other Thoughts: I had a very easy time installing my hardware without even opening the instructions. The box came with more than enough screws and grommets. This was my first build and I probably only spent 30min total dealing with the case itself.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good case

Pros: The air flow is very good. I was hesitant to purchase this case due to the lack of top air exhaust, but the rear 120mm fan gets the job done. The gauge of the steel is significantly thicker than cases I've owned in the past. I've had some pricey Thermaltake cases, and this Lancool is much sturdier. I thought the wire management clips felt flimsy, but after rewiring my PSU several times, I understand why the plastic isn't rigid. The wire management is strong enough to keep all the wires in place, and isn't brittle to where it might break. Very good design. Another awesome feature with this case is the vibration dampeners. There is a rubber grommet for each fan, and when paired with low dB fans you can barely hear them at work. I love the aluminum front bezel, and the power buttons. The power switch doesn't feel flimsy like many cases. This power switch is beefy as heck. Great case, I hope my comments help.

Cons: The inside isn't painted, and looks "cheap." (It certainly doesn't feel cheap!)

Other Thoughts: i5-2500k - 4.5ghz 1.26v 66C @ 100% load w/ Hyper 212+
G.Skill RipJaws 2133 8gb
eVga GTX560ti - 968/2277 57C @100% load w/ Khuler 620 zip-tie mod.
