5 out of 5 eggsMOST AWESOME CASE

Pros: 2 USB 3.0 ports up front. Looks GREAT! Substantial, SNAP-ON side panels (no tools!). Looks GREAT! Clever snap-in, rubber-shielded mounts for ssd drives. Looks GREAT! Very innovative in design, and did I mention that it looks GREAT!

Cons: The feet are made of turned aluminum instead of rubber, so over time they might mar a wooden surface if your not careful. Also, the thumb screws that secure the SSD rack are too high and interfere with the cable connections. (I resolved that by using 2 mobo screws for the rack and all 4 thumbscrews for the mobo. Worked great.)

Other Thoughts: For a SMALL desktop computer (ITX), it just doesn't get any better than the Q02B by Lian Li. This thing just screams quality through and through, is Zen-like in its simplicity and aesthetics, and makes you feel good just looking at it.

4 out of 5 eggsSo close to perfect

Pros: This is a very attractive small case. The build quality was good, materials seem solid, and it's super tiny. I like the multi-purpose power-hdd led which is thankfully not too bright. The case doesn't have any frills or distractions; it's very simple, clean. I really like it.

Cons: Pass through usb 3.0??? That was never okay and is really ridiculous at this point. I had to spend $15 on a replacement cable with an internal header. Two of the feet attached wrong, had to remove the hdd cage and use needle nose pliers to unscrew and redo. The hdd cage thumb screws don't fit once you put a drive in, but I was able to use other screws that came with it. Lastly a motherboard screw was missing, luckily I had extra.

Most of these are just small quality control issues, but the usb pass through was a stupid decision which cost me extra money to fix.

Other Thoughts: I gave this a 4 because there are not that many good super small cases out there. If you want to go small, and I plan to continue micro builds in the future, then this is a good case choice.

Front cable I replaced with Biostar CABLEUSB3.0 USB 3.0 Cable Bracket. Fits perfectly.

4 out of 5 eggsWhat were they thinking?

Pros: Cute, small size. Side panels easily removeable. Easy to build and test with motherboard tray outside of the case.
Appropriate psu with 4 sata cables. USB 3.0 internal cable with adapter for usb2.0 headers.(seems to have fixedearlier reviewers complaint of usb3.0 routing out the back) Clever blue/red combo power and HDD light in one button. Solid construction.

Cons: No way to use the pci-e slot of a ITX motherboard
Thumbscrews that attach the 2.5" mount plate are so tall that you can't connect a sata power cable or sata signal cable.
I replaced them with some of the supplied 2.5" mounting screws.

Other Thoughts: Slim ODD dvd drives can be expensive, it looks like there was room for a conventional dvd drive.
I ordered a pci based wifi card that I can't mount.
It looks like I will need a less efficient usb wifi card.

3 out of 5 eggsNot bad, but not perfect

Pros: It's a computer case, and it works -- what more can you ask? The PSU fan is close to silent so that's a plus.

Cons: The construction quality of this case is a few notches below the typical Lian-Li quality in my opinion. The case arrived with one of the 4 metal pedestals loose. But because the screw was put in crooked and too tight, the screw is simply stuck. Now one of the four pedestals will always be dangling. There are also a few scratches to the aluminum finish on the inside of the case that QC tried to cover up using a black marker.

Other Thoughts: A couple of product recommendations:

* I would prefer rubber pedestals to metal pedestals. Not only would rubber pedestals provide dampening, it wouldn't scratch other surfaces like they did to my wooden media center surface.
* Provide plugs for the 2 front USB ports. Because the front USB ports take up too much space on the inside, I've decided to take the whole mechanism out. Would be great if Lian-Li can provide plugs for holes for the USB ports. I'm sure I won't be the only one taking out the USB ports. This is a mITX case and the port extension just takes too much room

3 out of 5 eggshuge wiring challenge

Pros: panels well built, you can tell Lian-li tried on this one. Like having a slot load drive in it. everything inside is removable to an extent.

Cons: Bought 2 so I'll amend some wrongs I discovered: The feet look like rubber stick on feet but are not, they're $cr3w3d in. this case requires adapters and cable management products to do it right (add $30 to $50 in adapters and stick on cable mounts. Must have a lot of patience wiring inside. You can mount the ODD drive flush if you use the back scr3w holes to mount the drive only. front will not line up but stays in firm.

Other Thoughts: I bought two so only fair to give another review correcting a couple first review mistakes. Still not worth the high price it's sold at. This case just gives me a headache, I'm not big into spending $$$ on a case that needs more $$ to make it right.

2 out of 5 eggsfail

Pros: Small chassis, well built, Optical bay cover sc3w3ed on, not a cheap pop off, panels hold nice and tight, very sleek and would make a great office PC or small server.

Cons: Oh boy where to start... the fact it gives you a mega long USB 3.0 cable that goes through the back of the case to take up two rear panel USB 3.0 ports. I put an adapter to convert it back making cable management I super challenge. Behind the front USB 3.0 ports is a stiff cable mount that again makes cable management non exsistent without making the front ports bent on an angle. I put a slot load Sony ODD in the bay, it sticks out and has no adjustment to make it flush. HDD install was decent for a 3.5" drive but definately nothing to write home about with scr3ws sticking out of the bottom. Feet on the case like my PC-Q07 are rubber stick-ons (i'd expect better for 149.99). Last the little baby 300W power supply popped after 3 minutes of running.

Other Thoughts: This case is NOT worth $150! Those front USB cables are not well executed. look at picture number 8 the back view, you can see a large wad of USB 3.0 cables. Fix the USB 3.0 cable to short internal and I'd give it four eggs. 5 eggs if they did that and paid for my shipping when I RMA it tomorrow.
