2 out of 5 eggsGreat for the Office, not for techies.

Pros: Dust filters on all stock fans.
Easy to install ODD bays.
Nice brushed black aluminum.

Cons: No fan grills included to cover fan expansion slots at the top.
You have to remove the front panel to clean dust filters.
Too many different screws.
The hard drive installation is very strange and didn't work with the SSD I got.

Biggest complaint: Cable management. Don't let the slots fool you. The oval shaped slots only allow for cables to be run from the motherboard to the power supply. There's a bar in the back that prevents wires from crossing between the motherboard to the HDD/ODD bays. If you cross any cables along that bar, the side panel won't set right.

Other Thoughts: Built a computer for my mom using this case. I suppose you get what you pay for. I used zip ties to try to keep cords as close to the frame as possible, but it means nothing since that bar on the side prevents SATA cables from being run through the back.

3 out of 5 eggsHum hum hum

Pros: Beautiful looking, great airflow and modifiable. Nice hard and SSD drive cage with rubber grommets for install. Fairly quiet. Cable management is a lot nicer then my old micro atx case.

Cons: The side panels or case is really flimsy (thin). The side panels pop off if i move it with out the back screws in place. Top drive bay is obstructed by usb case wires. Case tends to HUM (like a whirl wind). After investigating, it turns out to be the front two fans. When unplugging, hum goes away. When keeping one plugged in noise is reduced by at least half. I also find that leaving the side panel open reduces the hum. For a complete fix I believe a fan controller would do. but another 20 bucks:/

Other Thoughts: I love quiet computers. This ones humming kinda ruined it for me but I will find out how to fix it. I purchased this case for 80 with the 20 rebate. For 60 bucks this case is beautiful in my opinion and for 50 its even nicer. I just wish the Panels weren't so flimsy and stayed on the sides better.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: -Great design
-Very well built
-Power suppy can be mounted BOTH ways
-Pre-cut for water cooling
-Cutouts for cable management
-USB3
-Includes fan filters
-All included screws are black
-Includes a whole set of rubber grommets

Cons: -The cables for USB, audio and power have to be routed out the back the 5.25" drive bay. There is no cutout to route it down the side/in the back of the case.

Other Thoughts: I have an older Lian-Li, the PC-G70B, from about 6 years ago that my main desktop sits in. This PC-7HX is going to be used for a server build. This new case is really a step up from older Lian Li cases. Let me walk you through this gorgeous case.

The Everything is black. The scews, the fans, the tool-less clips, the front panel cables -- everything. Thumbscrews are used for anything you'd want thumbscrews for. They've also gone an included enough rubber grommets that you could fill up all your bays and get to use those grommets on everything.

You can fit a very large video card in the case. They purposefully left a big enough gap between the HD cage and the 5.25" bays so that you could do so. If your cards are shorter and don't extend too far past the motherboard (like a 7950) then you should be able to fit multiples in for Crossfire as well.

Let's talk power supply location for a second. Have you ever wanted to put your power supply in a certain way and were saddened to discover the holes for the screws only let you do it one way? Not a problem in this case. You can mount your power supply with the fan on the top or the bottom. It's up to you!

You know the extra holes on top of the case you attach their radiator enclosure to? Want to cover them up? No problem, just use the included rubber fillers. Do you want to use the fan cutouts on top of the case? Great! Just detach the inserts by removing the screws.

Need quick access to those fan filters in the front? The front piece of aluminum comes right off with no fuss. Yes, I said aluminum. When they say the thing is aluminum they mean it.

How about getting all of your cables under control? The motherboard tray has pre-cut spots for you to route all of your cables through. There's no need to string cables all through the middle of the case.

I could keep going on about this case but I'll stop here: This case was a dream for me to work with. I'm jealous that my server gets to have a nicer case than my main rig.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case!

Pros: -Easy setup
-Easy USB3.0 connector
-Plenty of room for huge graphics cards
-Silent
-Great air circulation, plenty of room for extra fans & liquid cooling (2x pre-cut chimney fan slots and more)
-Aluminum construction, so it's super-light
-No sharp edges
-No tools required (some screws were tight though!)
-Side-mount hard drives with rubber suspension

Cons: -Great price-point
-Could use slightly better cable management
-Could use a motherboard tray

Other Thoughts: At 100% utilization, my GPU temp dropped eight degrees C! Five star case, would purchase again.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat case, lousy service

Pros: The case is great—plenty of room, looks nice, quality construction, but…

Cons: It should be no surprise that, given the chance, Newegg will cheat you out of your rebates. I sent in for a $20 rebate on this case, not realizing the UPC plus 2 pages would require more than one stamp. The envelope got to Newegg with 20 cents postage due, so they refused it and now it’s too late to send it again.

Other Thoughts: Yes, it was my fault for not attaching enough postage, but for 20 cents? That’s 1% of the rebate Newegg owes me. Is it really worth losing a customer over a $20 rebate and 20 cents postage?

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Decent build quality. Covered all the basics well.

Cons: Needs better ventilation for the PSU in the bottom of the case. Just expected more for this price.

Other Thoughts: Get a Xigmatek Midgard II instead, it's much less expensive, has more features and better quality.

2 out of 5 eggsLIAN LI PC-7HX (not what it used to be)

Pros: Can't think of any.

Cons: I have previously owned 3 LIAN LI PC cases (the last purchased was 2-3 yrs ago). Based on those, I had the highest regard for LIAN LI quality. In setting up for another PC, no brainer, I immediately went for another LIAN LI, but I read some reviews that suggested their quality has deteriorated. I thought perhaps those reviews were bogus and ordered my PC-7HX anyway. Well, low and behold, this is really cheaply made, nothing resembles the quality of their prior PC boxes. The aluminum is a thinner variety, the screws are more cheaply made and they don't give you as much pieces parts as they used to. Wow, if I had known this I would have ordered differently and will never buy another LIAN LI again.

Other Thoughts: What happended to the product quality they used to have? Were they bought out or did they do this to make more profit?

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice case

Pros: All aluminum.

3 fans. Noticeable noise but now am running them at slow speed controlled by bios, so much quieter.

Front fan filters.

Easy install with DVD drive and hard drive. Motherboard standoffs pre-installed.

Cable management wasn't the best but managed to stuff cable out of the way as necessary.

Excellent Lian-Li customer service as my case came with a missing case foot...contacted Lian Li and they sent one out from Taiwan.

Cons: Case comes with a fan filter on the bottom of case for the power supply. However it snaps out like the front fan filters so you have to pick up case to get it out to clean and replace.....would have preferred a simple slide mechanism to easily remove and replace this filter.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case!

Pros: Case is extremely light, and the all black aluminum interior/exterior is very slick looking. The instruction manual is very detailed and easy to read/get everything assembled correctly. This case is VERY quiet with the stock fans in place, I can barely hear it. The amount of effort Lian Li put into place to make your entire rig once assembled in this case is incredible. From the rubber grommets for your power supply to the grommets for your HDD's to lower the noise level. Kudos to Lian Li for this as I am extremely critical about my case being quiet. The case was easy to assemble my entire set up in for being a mid-tower. Cable management was a bit tricky but wasnt anything to difficult. Overall a great case at a great price! Been a fan of Lian Li for years, I compare them to the ferrari of cases compared to some other companies with all of their plastic cases and noise.

Cons: The only con I can think of is that it didnt come with the fan cage for the two top (optional) 120mm fans and/or a radiator for a water cooling set up. You have to purchase it sep. for some reason. Speaking of which if anyone knows where to purchase it, (I havent been able to find it on Newegg or Lian Li's website) please let me know.

This isnt really a deal breaker, but it would be something nice to have. Not worth deducting an egg for it.

Other Thoughts: This case is great! Go out and buy it today!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case

Pros: Very easy to work in, had no issues with installing any of my hardware. love the black interior and tool-less design. Fantastic airflow dynamics. For the price, this case is great!

Cons: MB Tray CPU cutout is small, my CPU sits about an inch to the side. Cord Management is tricky as there is not much room between MB tray and side panel. All small complaints.

Other Thoughts: Unique to this case is the option to install more 120/140M fans or a liquid cooling radiator on the top of the case, however this requires an optional housing to "cap" off the hardware. I think this looks rather cheesy in my opinion. if you have, say, a corsair H100 you would need to use this type of setup. becuase of the radiator size. I installed a thermaltake water2.0 pro cooling unit without issues using the rear 120M fan output. There is alo an option on the side panel to install an additional 120m fan.

Hardware:
GA Z77x up4th MB, Intel I5 3570k CPU, 16G Gskill Ripjaw, Thermaltake water2.0 Pro, PNY Geforce GTX 570 GPU, Corsair TX750 PSU.
