ICON Loading...

Cooler Master combined classic and modern design in the Centurion 5, to create a case that will last. Housing one 3.5" external and five 5.25" drive bays it gives you more room than most people would ever use. It also gives easy access to the two USB 2.0 ports, Firewire port, and two audio ports by placing them front and center. They finished this with a classic black case with modern blue trim to make this an icon for years to come.

That’s just the exterior, though. The interior is where it really shines. The four 3.5" internal hard drives will give you plenty of hard drive space. The front vents feature an ingenious vent system that feature an easy-to-clean filter. The rear 120mm fan and the side air duct will enjoy expelling the hot air from your CPU.

Creating the perfect system will be a quick and painless proposition, as well. Each and every drive bay, both internal and external, features tool free installation, as do the side panel and the seven expansion slots. Make it easy on yourself. Get a case that will support your frequent "tweaks" and changes without skinning your knuckles or cramping your hands.

5 out of 5 eggs7 Years and counting!

Pros: Fancy front mesh is both fashionable and seems to keep the beast cool. I've never used a front fan in this. Has fit all of my components (mid to low grade) through three rebuilds. Easy thumb screws on case and 'snap in' hard disk clamps have been a godsend!

Cons: Mesh picks up dust like crazy. Haven't figured out a good way to keep it clean. Front bezel is kind of a bear to get off.

Other Thoughts: After 7 years, there's plenty of dust in the mesh, the glossy paint is very dull, and the front audio ports are starting to get wonky. Been with me a long time, though, and I expect we'll be together a lot longer.

5 out of 5 eggsStill works 7 years later

Pros: Bought this for myself as a college graduation present. I've since given it to my dad and it still works 7 years later.

Cons: Nothing to complain about.

5 out of 5 eggsStill using this one

Pros: - Simple

- Cheap

- Sturdy

- Reasonably quiet

- Fit everything I've needed it to

Cons: - Front panel: To take this offyou have to remove the CD/DVD drives or at least pop them out a little to remove the cover. I don't remove the front very often so its not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: - Doesn't look like it can fly or shoot lasers or anything but I have had no complaints with it at all.

- I've had this case for about 4 years now and it has lasted 2 computer builds, I am in the process of number 3 and I plan on re-using this case.
- Never had to replace any of the fans.
I've actually built two other computers for friends using this case because of how much I've liked it.

- I do partake in the occasional LAN party, and have needed to transport the ol' beast around a few times, holds up to the punishment well.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat, but...

Pros: -Cheap
-Sturdy
-Great look and feel
-Great for small builds
-Ports on the bottom front!
-Lots of mesh

Cons: -It can be small with many components
-A bit heavy, but not really a con.

This case doesn't really allow for good air flow. If any component puts off a lot of heat you will need more that just one intake and one exhaust. Also I think this depends on where you live. I live where in the summer its 90-100F sometimes..so having heat push out of your machine like normal can be an issue.

Other Thoughts: Again solid product for Cooler Master. Get this case if you want something small, simple and sturdy.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Box

Pros: Awesome case, plenty of room. I've bought a few of these and every one of them meets my pretty strict standards. So I am very pleased with this chassis.

Cons: None. At all.

Other Thoughts: Great case. That's all there is to it.

5 out of 5 eggsUnabashed Utility.

Pros: -Highly cost-effective
-Tool-less anchoring for drives is secure and straightforward
-Durable case fans

Cons: -If you really wanna load it up with gear you'll want something yet bigger.

Other Thoughts: I personally love this case. I bought one in 2007 for my first mid/high-end gaming rig, and I've been using it ever since. I recently more or less built an entirely new computer in it. After four years and several moves into and out of college dorms, I've yet to observe any tangible wear and tear on it. The fans are still running strong. As far as working inside it goes, despite having large hands and having to work around an 8800GTS in the 2007 build and a 480 GTX most recently, I've had no issues with it. The 480 required a bit of planning for hard drive placement and cable concerns, but there was never a question of whether I could arrange all of my part in it, despite the 480 being something like a 10-inch-long brick.

Bottom line is, unless you're going to have a LOT of really bulky gear (more than one GPU in SLI/Crossfire, water cooling, any casemodding you feel like doing), this is a really flexible, solid, cost-effective tower that will last you a while.

5 out of 5 eggsTotally Worth it :D

Pros: This case is absolutely amazing and worth the buy at this price. Its cheap, its sturdy, and it keeps everything absolutely cool. The mesh front panel is pretty nifty as well. You can feel the cool breeze coming from it.

Cons: Be careful with some of the toolfree additions, I've had one snap on me fairly easily. Just don't put too much force behind it.

Other Thoughts: After owning it so long the case can seem a little bland. To fix that I bought the side panel and some blue cold cathodes to light the baby up. Also looks nice with the blue bleeding from the mesh.

4 out of 5 eggsbest case for the price

Pros: this case surprised me in how nice it was to build in. the tool-less locks for the drive bays are very sturdy, though i would throw a couple screws in on the other side for safety and stability. there is a lot of space to work in. for the price, i was really expecting a lot lower quality. would use this case again and again for low to mid-range builds.

Cons: ok, some minor annoyances and things you probably wouldn't expect on a case this price anyway....

-the color isn't really "blue". it's more purple. luckily the girlfriend likes purple better, so that's good for me. just don't expect a real blue and you're ok.
-cable management isn't helped by this case in anything other than size. there's not a lot of room on the back of the mobo to run your cords, and if there were, there's not a lot of options to get the cables back to your components.
-metal is somewhat thin. not too thin to worry you, but thinner than i'd like. not worth taking it out of consideration in your purchase though.
- the PSU is on the top. i'd much prefer it on the bottom. also, there is only one little shelf (~1.25"x3") to hold it up, along with the four screws. should be fine, but be careful with moving the unit around once completed. would hate for that psu to come crashing down on your heatsink and GPU.

Other Thoughts: for the price, this is the best case i've worked it. it's not top tier, so you're not going to get top tier options. but this was easy to work in, looks great, and has good front panel connections. a no brainer if this is your price point.

5 out of 5 eggsBuy this Case

Pros: It is solid, simple and sharp looking! The cables are easy to route in the front or back. No hardware needed to mount devices or PCI cards. The chassis completely disassembles and can be painted. It comes with decent fans.

Cons: I wish they would make this case in a bottom mounted PSU style.

Other Thoughts: I have used this case in over 20 custom builds. I disassembled it completely and then spray the chassis flat black. Then take the plastic bay retention clips and use RIT dye to make them Royal Blue. You can also dye the clips red or green to match your look. I have also replaced the side panel with a solid piece of Plexiglas and used thumb screw to bolt it to the chassis frame. The case looks fantastic with just a few cheap custom details.
