The range of computer cases available today is large and confusing. Every now and then, a solid, capable case with stylish design comes along that deserves more attention. Made of high-quality aluminum, the Centurion 5 CAC-T05-UW provides optimum ventilation to your PC with a unique perforated screen design that maximizes airflow and is also virtually "tool-free". It is designed for easy assembly, cleaning, quick maintenance and upgrades. The enclosure is compatible with both ATX and Micro-ATX motherboards.
The Centurion can accommodate massive storage capacity, with five 5.25" drive bays, and five 3.5" bays (including four hidden and one external) which provide for the installation of CD-ROMs and hard drives. Excellent cooling is provided by the 120mm exhaust fan and the 80mm intake fan, and the chassis is equipped with a side air duct for further ventilation. Easy USB, FireWire, and audio connectivity is provided by two USB 2.0 ports, one FireWire port, and Microphone and Speaker ports in the front. This is a great case for the do-it-yourselfer who needs a lot of flexibility at a value price!

Pros: Looks sleek, case walls and inner metal pieces feel really sturdy. Awesome bargain. Virtually screwless design so it makes for easy assembly, unless you have to remove the face of it which can be a pain because the pins holding it in are a little hard to get to. Hard drives, dvd drives and everything that fits in the front of the case are really, really easy and secure without screws!
Cons: The only thing I don't like about it is how the cards, pci cards and the like, are secured. I don't know if it's because of the screwless design or what, but I have yet to make my graphics card and sound card fit really snug with the clips that secure it (in place of screws).
Other Thoughts: I think the fluorescent blue power led is pretty cool.

Great Case Fantastic Price

Pros: This is a great case and has an amazing price. It has enough room to fit a Nvidia 8800 GTX card. The screwless mounts for the drive bays made installing hard drives and CD drives easy. Plenty of hand room. the two fans are really quiet compared to other models I've used. Looks and feels very sturdy. Side panels are easy to remove and put back on.
Cons: The air shaped cone that funnels air from the CPU is awkward and pushed power cables onto the CPU fan. Rather than trying to re-tie the cables somewhere else I just removed the air cone (Simple 4 screw removal). That is the only bad thing and it was a simple fix.
Other Thoughts: Was able to fit a Gigabyte Mobo Nforce 590 ATX in with AMD x2 5200+ AM2 processor. There was enough room for 1 Nvidia 8800 GTX card however, if you want to run two in SLI then you will probably need to make sure you don't use the top slot on the bottom 3.5 bay.

Pros: Overall, I would say the Centurion 5 is a decent case for a mid-level pc with typical components - those building a high-end system with more than 2 hard drives, additional components, and a motherboard full of cards will probably want a larger case. It seems to have good airflow, especially since I have only one optical drive installed- using only one 3x5 connector. There is a wide open space between the front cover and the mobo, and I can feel a tiny bit of warm air there.
Cons: Most of the motherboard mounting screws that came with my case were DEFECTIVE - would not screw in. I bought a separate pack of mounts rather than complain and wait for a replacement. One of the reasons I bought the Centurion 5 is its length. Most cases are too long for the shelf on my computers desk. However, during the building process, the 18.9" length created a slight difficulty with the EVGA P55 motherboard. This mobo has its sata port connectors facing the front of the case, and when installed in the centurion 5 case, there is very little space between the mobo and the hard drives, which made it difficult to connect sata cables to the EVGA mobo. The front of the case may be difficult to put back on after installing one or more optical drives.
Other Thoughts: This case has an appealing, simple design, but I wanted a pc that was colored something other than black and silver, so I painted my case. The metallic bars can be unscrewed from the front so you don't have to tape everything up.

Pros: very classy-looking. Good airflow - there are two fans, one in front behind the power switch and one in back. There are lots of other openings for air to enter/exit, and I've had no problems with components getting hot. I also like that it has rubbery feet so it won't scratch my nice wood floors
Cons: most things are held in by clips, which work fine, but take some getting used to.
Other Thoughts: No side window

Pros: nice design, plenty of room inside. nice price goo air flow, if everything works.
Cons: Support STINKS! This case had a bad power switch, filed a eRMA with Cooler Master for a 5 cent part that was approved 2 months ago, I still have NOT seen the replacement part and am still waiting. Thank goodness I found a switch that sort of works off an old PC that I had laying around
