4 out of 5 eggsStill a great case

Pros: I bought this case in 12/2006, and it still stands up against current offerings.

Cons: Limited fan options. Front USB ports are in a precarious location.

2 out of 5 eggsThere's better cases out there, keep searching.

Pros: It's not the worse case money can buy.

Cons: Needs more fans / air flow.

Other Thoughts: I have owned this case for 5 years and for the last year I have had a 20 fan next to it with the side off. I bought the case thinking it would be perfect for air flow but uh... no not really at all. The front is made out of a metal mesh with a filter but the filter is always full of dust and it's not that fun or easy to clean them. The few fans this case did have died shortly after I got it. If you care about heat then you'll most likely want a different case.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good looks. Great price.

Cons: The plastic is kind of cheap and brittle. Wish it had more space for fans. Would be nice with holes for cable management.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Case for the Price!

Pros: Attractive, Great Price, Front of case Fully Filtered. Roomier than some mid-tower cases I've worked in/on. Tool less locks holds HDD's & Optical Drives very stable - No Vibration or 'Wiggle' from either. Entire from of case is filtered - easily cleaned with vacuum cleaner. With correct fan choices, this case will keep all of your components cool and best of all; can do it Very Quietly. This case looks good in every household decor that I have seen it setting in. I have probably bought over 20 of these cases; 2 for my household, the rest for friends and customers. Only simple & easy modding needed to fix engineering errors.

Cons: Minor modding required. Tool less design to hold the video and other cards in the rear of the case is rather worthless. It is too weak to hold ANY kind of card with any kind of stability, especially upscale/heavy video cards (example: ASUS 560Ti). Screw holes for cards are not tapped (no threads). Rear of case is full of holes with no filter; air follows the path of the least resistance which kills the usefulness of the fully filtered front. Holes need to be covered. Especially after removing tool less card levers and the lever holders are straightened. A custom cut piece of sound deadening material works the best and also works as a vibration dampener for the 120mm rear fan.

Other Thoughts: I do not believe that there are any computer cases made that do not require some kind of modification to make them function correctly. Computer case engineers try to design one case to please everybody; once they try to do that, then everybody has to modify something to make the case suit their own needs. This case is a good example; fully filtered front and then they put holes all over the back of the case. What is filtering the air in the back of the case? NOTHING! Air is a fluid and follows the path of the least resistance. It's like putting a new air filter on your car and then not putting the top of the filter housing back on. The air goes past the filter (follows path of the least resistance) and then nothing gets filtered.

3 out of 5 eggsdecent but fans failed.

Pros: Nice case, doesn't allow any dust to get in.

Sturdy, cool plastic window

Cons: The back 120mm fan died after 1 year of use. disappointing because I've used cooler master fans before and didn't have this issue, and thought their fans were of higher quality.

5 out of 5 eggsQuality Case!

Pros: Extremely well constructed, durable steel. Fantastic air flow, thanks in part to wire mesh material used on front panel. Solid and roomy. Very attractive. Good placement of USB/Audio/Firewire ports.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I build a lot of computers, but this was my first case from Cooler Master. Based on this quality, I will definitely be using them again.

3 out of 5 eggsA decent case with some small issues.

Pros: This is a nice, solid case, with a decent amount of room. Has clear plastic window for those who like that sort of thing.

Cons: My main gripes I have with this chassis can probably be applied to other "tool-free" cases as well. The little plastic brackets to hold in the expansion cards seem break easily (I lost one already).
Even when not damaged, they are totally useless for holding my EVGA GTX460, as it's cover gets in the way of the brackets.

Other Thoughts: I am not sure why everyone wants to make "tool-free" cases these days. It's not like you don't need tools anyway when you install the motherboard and heatsink.
It would also be nice if they had included some screws to hold expansion cards in place, just in case they someone needs them (I had to find to random screws I had lying around to hold my graphics card in place).

Manufacturer Response:

Hi theshaz88, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Please contact us via the Live Chat link below so we can get the tool-less clips replaced under warranty coverage. Respectfully - CMUSA Customer Support.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case!

Pros: Looks great. The mesh on the front is awesome, especially since it has a filter behind it to catch dust. The front cover just pulls right off with a bit of force, which makes things a lot easier; no clips to pry out and accidentally snap. Plenty of room on the inside and I'm happy to finally have a tool-less case.

Cons: The power button is a little wobbly, but I'm sure that could be fixed. The tool-less parts seem a little cheap and sometimes I'm afraid I'm going to break them. The aluminum had a few deep scratches, but nowhere immediately noticeable.

Other Thoughts: I've seen some complaints about the plastic clips on the expansion slots breaking. So far, I haven't had any issues. Just don't press too hard and you'll be fine. If one does break, it's not really the end of the world. You should still be using screws, anyway.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst Build - A good start

Pros: I was impressed when I pulled this case out of the box. Was sturdy and well designed.

Cons: Not really a con but something to be aware of. The manual sucks. Luckily I did enough research prior to buying that I was able to figure out how to get the MoBo mounting pins.

Other Thoughts: I feel confident that I will buy this case for future builds

4 out of 5 eggsSpacious!!

Pros: Great product! Huge with lots of room to work inside. Overall a great value for the price.

Cons: After 18 months I now hear a noisy front case fan. This is getting to be annoying and replacing it would most likely be even more annoying.

Other Thoughts: I still would buy another one of these if the need for a new case were to arise.
