5 out of 5 eggsBlack is Beautiful

Pros: Immaculate finish on this case looks great with black DVD players. ATX and everything fit perfect. Lots of extra parts. Heavy duty cables. First class.

Cons: Yeah, the handles area a little sharp, but not a problem.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommended. Put the Intel Quad in it with the 975XBX2 Board

4 out of 5 eggsNeed HDD space? Here's you case

Pros: It's a nice looking case. There's a lot of space inside, especially for drives. I bought an extra HDD cage. It is reasonably quite, even with 4 120 fans, and one 80. I placed the top fan in the side panel. This case is very well ventilated - perhaps too well, making airflow management difficult in some situations.

Cons: The power switch, activity light, firewire and USB cables should be a little longer. They cannot be run in a clean manner, even with the mATX board I started with. Removing the front bay covers is difficult from the front, and you can't get to them from inside the case if you fill the case with HDD cages. The side fan holder should be sized for a 120 fan, or larger!

The case blocks the large fan of my PSU. I like the PSU being on the bottom, but it blocks some of the fan. I doubt it will be an issue, but that sheetmetal should be removed.

Other Thoughts: I wish it had two more drive bays. It will soon have 3 HDD cages (12 drives) and that leaves 2 open bays - one for a optical, and one for a floppy. I'd like to also have a front fan controller, and second optical drive.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful high end...

Pros: Much drive storage, handles SLI without large video hitting anything. Good ventilation, not too noisy. Modular hot swap backplanes fit nicely, and even when deep, don't interfere. 120 mm fans are reasonably quiet (but I'm used to noisy, so who knows).

This version has power at the bottom. This allows for larger power supplies, and works nicely compared to some of the ones that fit at the top.

Cons: The sharp edge warnings were no joke...most of the edges are rolled, but for example, the finger slots for grabbing the side panels to pull a side back are not...these were so sharp I would have sliced deep if I hadn't been ready for it. I ended up filing down those edges and a few others.

The included cables for the front panel 1394/USB stuff need to be longer, I gave up on the 1394, but don't use it anyway.

I too found that the alignment of the motherboard with the back expansion slots was not so great. The main problem is that the blank tabs for filling unused slots are made of a thin metal, and the actual metal brackets on video cards and other real world expansions. A small screwdriver very slightly expanding the slot that the brackets fit into near the motherboard will save a lot of swearing...this is where they hang up when trying to insert expansion cards. Don't expand them much, or it'll be worse...expand them all very slightly before starting, and it'll go much nicer.

Other Thoughts: I understand the complaints on the quick mount tool-less drive bay stuff. Once you understand how it works, it's actually a good idea...but it was not implemented well, it uses cheap plastic, which falls off while trying to put the drive components in. If you put just a tiny dab of weak rubber cement on the side of 5 1/4" device, then the plastic tabs don't fall off, and are easy to work with. The flaw is that these are thermal insulators...if these cheap tabs had been made of aluminum, they'd be a really nice idea. On the other hand, normal screw holes are also provided, and there is no requirement to use the quick release.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case!

Pros: So many things about this case are great--it comes with plentiful screws, posts, etc. for every component you need; the fans are really quiet, and there's a well-placed drive bay fan. Also, every front drive panel has a filter to keep out dust.

Cons: It's a little hard to get the front drive panels off. To get the hard drive caddy out, you have to remove a bunch of them (it slides out the front).

Other Thoughts: This case is huge--make sure you realize how big it is. However, life is so much nicer with some extra room in the case.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case, Confusing Model Numbers

Pros: Great case if you have a bunch of drives and need a large, well cooled case. If you purchase 2 additional 4-in-3 modules, you can fit 12 hard drives plus a DVD and a floppy drive.

Cons: NewEgg's model numbers and pictures make selecting the right version difficult. You need to purchase additional 4-in-3 modules (or 5.25"-to-3.5" adapters) to mount more than 4 hard drives. No support for BTX motherboards, single power supply mounting location.

Other Thoughts: NewEgg has several Stacker 810 cases listed but they don't describe the differences very well and the pictures are not accurate. After receiving the wrong color, I decided to research the differences between the models and post them. Here you go:

- STC-T01-UW - Silver; Dual Power Supply Locations (top & bottom); ATX, mATX, BTX, mBTX motherboards
- STC-T01-UWK - Black; Dual Power Supply Locations (top & bottom; ATX, mATX, BTX, mBTX motherboards
- RC-810-SSN1 - Silver; Single Power Supply Location (bottom); ATX, mATX motherboards
- RC-810-SKN1 - Black; Single Power Supply Location (bottom); ATX, mATX motherboards

If you are looking for accessories, here are some part numbers:
- STB-3T4-E1-GP - 4-in-3 drive bay adapter with fan (case comes with 1 of these)
- RC-880-FKR1 - 3.5" drive bay cover (case comes with 1 of these)
- SPB-S01-E1 - PlexiGlass side window - Silver
- STF-B01-E1-GP - Cross-flow fan

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case

Pros: Sturdy and stylish yet simple. Plenty of room to work with and tool-less drive bays work well. Good quality wheels make it easy to move around. I love that the USB ports are on the top of the case.

Cons: Only comes with one 3.5 inch drive bay converter. Not a big deal for most people I guess but I needed two because i use a fan controller and a 3.5 floppy drive for loading RAID drivers. Case is a bit heavy but I expected that.

Other Thoughts: Very fast processing from Newegg as usual!

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Case

Pros: More than enough space, expandable, durable, and elegant. I used this case in a gaming rig I built for my uncle, and he has loved it since laying eyes on it. The mesh drive bay covers and other vents really look amazing when coupled with CCFLs or any other lights. I also installed the crossflow fan in the case, which really helps in chipset/ram cooling. I highly recommend this case to anyone who is looking to build a cool running as well as a cool looking rig. Cooler Master does it again with a high quality, visually stunning case.

Cons: Tad bit on the heavy side although the included casters help, and if you use air cooling, there is virtually no sound insulation due to all the vents, which is the compromise for excellent airflow.

Other Thoughts: As far as noise is concerned, a fan controller really helps if you have this in your bedroom or a living area. Just turn down your fans when not in use and it purrs like a kitten.

5 out of 5 eggsUltimate Computer Case.

Pros: Simply Amazing case design. Sturdy, Spacious, Stylish and Elegant. It took a day of working with it to realize the excellence of this case's engineering and design. It has plenty of room, useful features, and installation is a snap. You get great airflow, and lots of room for water cooling if you go that route. It even has space for a second PSU to power your ELEVEN drive bays. It is BIG.

Cons: It's big, and missing the kitchen sink. It's also heavy, but they give you coaster footings if you need to move it around. I'm not sure if I'll be able to fit a CM Cross Flow Fan in there after adding the MSI MoBo and 8800GTS.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case and blew another $120 on a Side Window Mod, two extra 4-in-1 Device Modules and Four (yes, FOUR; You can fit 3 in the front if you use the extra modules or mod the case) 120mm LED fans. It's pricey, but well worth it. Although I haven't finished putting it all together, it shows a ton of promise, and my confidence in CM is still going up. NewEgg's Price is Unbeatable. I just wish they sold the add-ons.

5 out of 5 eggsMonster Box

Pros: Huge...
This case has easy access to everything, and a great airflow system. Nice HDD vibration reducing housing.

Cons: none yet

Other Thoughts: I have a super long Matrox editing board. (I'm telling you this thing is huge Matrox RT. X2.) I don't think that there are many other cases that would accomidate it. This one does. As a matter of fact I just ordered another one.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Great build quality. Tons of room. Not super loud (put your own fans in it if it is too loud for you). I found this case to be super easy to work with. Very expandable. Not uber-ugly.

Cons: Ugly power/reset switches and lights. In fact, my lights don't work period. Not a big deal to me.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a very roomy case for a gaming computer you will have no problems fitting any video card you desire in this case. NO PROBLEMS! The case is not as ugly as the picture shows. In fact, it's pretty good looking.
