1 out of 5 eggsCheap and Defective Case

Pros: good look, low cost, good ventilation

Cons: power supply causes shutdown when bumped and power switch broke within the first few months.

Other Thoughts: I've purchased dozens of Coolermaster cases for my clients over the years and this is the only model I've ever encountered issues with. Avoid this model at all costs. I submitted a service request with CoolerMaster, let's see if they make good on this product

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Merk,

We are sorry to hear you are having trouble with our case/power supply. Please contact us via the Live Chat link below so we can get the part and power supply replaced under warranty coverage.

Respectfully,

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very nice looking and cool. Has plenty of room for a socket 775 Motherboard.

Cons: None. I like it a lot.

Other Thoughts: I hope these stay available, because once mine start getting scratches on it, I will quickly go to buy another one, if I have the money.

3 out of 5 eggslooks good, lots of room, nice front panel

Pros: Good looking case with lots of room for hdd's. Front panel pops off from outside for access to drives, etc.

Cons: I don't trust the power supply so I'm swapping for an antec 380w earthwatts. The tool-less bays are difficult to secure from one side, you need to remove other case panel which, of course, requires a tool.

Other Thoughts: Does anyone know what to do with that round ferrite thingy? I'm not sure if it's related, but I reached for a usb thumb drive on the front panel to remove it, and a static charge jumped the gap and the pc locked up on me.

3 out of 5 eggsusb grounding problem, ps issues

Pros: Looks good, front cover pops off from outside without removing internal tabs.

Cons: After installing win7 pro, I was trying to get some network drivers loaded via usb stick, I touched the thumb drive and a static spark flew and the system blanked out. The system rebooted ok, but several days later the system wouldn't boot up and multiple beeps sounding from the bios. Power supply issue? Case grounding issue? I replaced the ps with an antec 380 earthwatts that I had on hand.

Other Thoughts: What was I thinking? I haven't used a case/ps combo in a while, due to their general suckiness. I guess that still holds true.

4 out of 5 eggs10 good ones

Pros: I bought ten of these at a local retailer. All ten were perfect, no dead PSUs, no dents. Front cover looks nice and feels solid, The side panels are flimsy, but the paint is good, no scratches.120mm fan mount up front to cool the hdd's, 120mm fan in the back. I really like the way the I/O panels sit about an inch back from the outside. When it's assembled, it feels much more solid. I have AMD Quad Phenom 840s, single 7200 RPM HDD, DVD, and card reader and it works fine, surprisingly considering the power supply.

Cons: Nowhere to mount a case badge or CPU sticker, Thin sheet metal, silver paint looks dull, power supply may not last long, throw-away expansion slot covers. Wire management could be better. Minus one egg.

Other Thoughts: TIP: Either screw down the front 5.25" metal covers or remove them. Otherwise, they will eventually start to rattle or buzz.
TIP2: If you have it, mount a 4X4" square of sound dampening material to the inside center of the side panels and ceiling to remove the "hollow" sound.

2 out of 5 eggsSo-so

Pros: Chip

Cons: Power supply is very chip, it does not have the second SATA power connector, wires are too thin.
The sheet metal the case is made of is too thin also.
Plastic latches are very easy to break by fingers.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer - We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. The case in question was designed to be a budget case. If you have any feedback or have any problems with the case, please contact us via the Live Chat link below. Respectfully - CMUSA Customer Support.

5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: -Intuitive screw-less design, contrary to what I feared.
-Decent visual instructions for those like me who aren't so tech savvy.
-Runs my low-end system well, which I was afraid 350W might not have.

Cons: -Plenty of sharp edges
-Hard to fit USB devices into front ports
-Comes with only one SATA power cable. Not sure if this is standard for most PSU's, but had buy a Molex -> SATA power adapter

Other Thoughts: Gigabyte MicroATX /w onboard Radeon HD 4200
1 500gb 7200 HDD
1 regular DVD +/- writer
1 AMD Athalon II x2 (/w included HSF)
1 USB Wireless Adapter
Powers it just fine . . . so far!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Average Case

Pros: Simple Design
Price
Style

Cons: Available Space

Other Thoughts: I bought this a couple of years ago for my own build and use it for gaming. Im about to upgrade my card and space is going to be tight. The case has held up very well for the price. One question though, is that a spot for another 12mm fan in the front?
