5 out of 5 eggsBought in 2009 still good

Pros: Sharp looking case. Came with a nice bag of options to connect stuff.

Cons: None I can think of. It's big but that is what I wanted.

Other Thoughts: Old and still going strong. Happy I bought it. Cool lights that still work today. I would buy CM cases again!

4 out of 5 eggsgood case

Pros: good steel construction, I like the power/reset buttons being at the top of the case so they are easy to get to. It has a good airflow to it as well.

Cons: it weighs about 25 pounds.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Case with a few small problems

Pros: Solid - The case is super sturdy. The handle is a nice convenience for when/if you carry your computer around to LAN parties and such. The handle itself feel really strong as well. No worries about it breaking or anything.

Looks- This case has really nice aesthetics. When the LEDs work, you get a really nice red look with the monolithic structure of the case.

Ease of Use/Install- Compared to some of the other reviews on here, I had a really easy install with this case. The box came with a decent amount of spare parts.

Cons: Faulty LEDs- This is mentioned in some other reviews I've read. This case came with a few fans with LEDs attached but I've never gotten the front fans LEDs to work and the other ones only work intermittently.

Front Punch Outs- The front punch outs aren't too easy to cleanly seperate. Installing a DVD Drive in the top slot, I had to take the top punch out off and ended up taking the second and third out.

Back IO Panel- Other reviews have mentioned this as well, but the back IO panel is a little flimsy. I had trouble securing a video card because the IO panel came bent in the box. I hammered it out and was able to safely install the video card

Other Thoughts: I guess a con for this case is that it doesn't have USB 3.0 ports on the front, but considering this is a 4 year old case I didn't list it there.

It's a pretty solid case. Reviewing this case almost 4 years later makes me realize that styles have changed a lot since then. I'm itching for a more minimalist style case. I'd rather have a a simple looking case showcasing in the guts of a build with a nice window rather than the case itself.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case!

Pros: Great Looks, Functionality, Cool Temperatures, Fast Shipping, Carrying Handle, LED Control

Cons: A little tight for full size video cards, but I managed to fit a Gigabyte Radeon HD 6950 (11.5 inches long!) inside with a little maneuvering, the Scout II fixed this issue with removable HDD trays.

Other Thoughts: Have owned this case for two years now, and I still love it! I have always like Cooler Master's products, and will buy in the future!

1 out of 5 eggsnot good

Pros: plently of usbs,, black

Cons: well I read reviews on here , that there was static discharge ,, may short out motherboard ,, this computer case caused static it killed my motherboard ,, I had it running only 1 week and I turned it on one day and the fan lights flashed never turned on and that was it ,, my gigabyte socket 1150 motherboard was dead ,, had to rma my motherboard ,, every else was still good including my 850 watt expensive seasonic power suplly and my expensive i7 cpu ,, I will be buying a new computer case ,, but first checking reviews on cases first ,, so I wont have any problems ,, I did buy a rosewell case from newegg in which my gf loves her computer case,, I will be buying a rosewill case

Other Thoughts: it shocked my motherborad

Manufacturer Response:

Good Afternoon Jerry,

I apologize your CM Storm Scout is not working correctly as our computer case should not be shorting out motherboards unless the stand-offs, CPU mounting hardware, building on carpet and various other external issues may be a possible culprit. However please contact us through our CM Fanzone via Support ticket, phones, live chat so we can assist in trouble shooting.

I look forward to your response.

3 out of 5 eggsNot that great

Pros: It looks pretty, has nice handlebars

Cons: It's a dated computer case and you are better off getting a newer model that has more features. It's also kinda cramped inside.

1 out of 5 eggsShocking

Pros: Looks good. Liked the handle and the ease of mounting the components.

Cons: Customer support. After the computer would run for a period of time, if you touched the case, it would shock you and the computer would do a hard reboot. After troubleshooting the problem it was determined the control panel had a short in it. I Called customer support several times. One time they actually told me they don't put serial numbers on their boxes, only on the case themselves. After acknowledging the problem and agreeing to send a replacement part I never got it. I was told I gave them erroneous shipping info. After giving them the info a second and third time I still never received it.

I gave up and bought another manufacturers case and have been very happy with it.

Other Thoughts: If I see Cooler Master I think about the experience and find another comparable, unless it is SO cheap I could bear just throwing it away if it didn't work.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Chris,

I am so deeply sorry about the experiance that you had. We include serial numbers on all of our products to help streamline warranty issues. Not many individuals keep the packaging after installing their products. Yet, my name is Robert and would you mind contacting us directly by phone or live chat to help rectify this situation.

5 out of 5 eggsEverything you want

Pros: Exactly what you need in a case. Cool, quiet, and attractive. Four USB ports in the front. Lots of room to work with inside. A sturdy handle for easy mobility. It looks really cool.

Cons: No Cons. There is an air intake on the top, so be careful with your drink!

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this case, especially if you are going to be moving your system from place to place.
