5 out of 5 eggsGreat Computer Tower

Pros: Vast amounts of room for expansion. Very easy to install new devices in expansion ports. Lots of vents for fans or radiators for internal cooling. Sleek design.

Cons: Size. A bit large for the average desk; both above and below.

1 out of 5 eggsThis Case is a Nightmare

Pros: I don't know.

Cons: Upon touching any of the front USB/HDMI ports, even without any detectable static discharge at all, the computer will sometimes immediately crash. This was brought up with Coolermaster, who sent a replacement part for the front ports which did not help the problem even slightly. I know that I am not the only person who has experienced this problem. I was unable to get it fixed while my case was under warranty, now I have a chunk of useless metal that I desperately want to crush with a sledgehammer. Do not make the same mistake I did. Do not buy this case.

Furthermore, a standard large Coolermaster fan does not fit in the top of the case as it was designed to. The fan blades start hitting the case after a while, the only solution to which is to BEND the case out of the way or buy a fan from a different brand. The noise from said fan is also intolerable.

Furthermore, to clean the dust screen on the front you have to disassemble the entire case (including popping off the top part with the USB ports) which is a bit of a pain. The screen also frays apart and becomes useless after you remove and replace it a few times. Threw mine out years ago.

Other Thoughts: This is the first review I've ever left on Newegg. I've been disappointed before but never have I recieved a product so blatantly obviously defective (yet somehow not qualified for a full refund), that I felt compelled to warn others about it. Maybe you'll be lucky and avoid the crashing problem, some people seem to, but do not expect ANY HELP if you end up in my situation.

Manufacturer Response:

Good Afternoon Philip,

From you Support Ticket 00060373: I apologize you're still having issues with your HAF 922 as this case is highly rated on New Egg with 5 Eggs as we understand sometimes issues arise as we are here to support you every step of the way as soon as you purchase our products.

I have looked into your account and it looks as if we assisted you on several occasion while you were on warranty with replacing the fan as well as the IO Panel per yourself and the following RMA Numbers CUSCA114011 and CUSCA114012 back in 2011. It's pretty unfair to state that we did not help at all. However it looks as if you are now out of warranty as our chassis has a two year limited warranty. Fear not as we still provide replacement parts at reasonable prices through our CM Store that you can follow at the link below.

With that said we have replaced the front panel twice as you are still having a grounding issue, it's possible you have other hardware problems that I suggest you look into and take to an un-biased qualified specialist to determine the cause.

In regards to the fan I'm still looking forward to some images to determine how the fan blade can move out of place if it was correctly installed.

Please let me know for further questions.

4 out of 5 eggsBeware. He's bigger than expected.

Pros: The case have a lot of fans so it's never going very hot in there. It's bigger than I ever expect it to be, some friends even thought it was a night table for some reasons, it's a pro since I have two evga GTX 770 dual classified and if I wouldn't had choosed this case in first place my gpu wouldn't fit in there.

Cons: Therefore the fans make a lot of noise when they turn altogether and it can even become irritating.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: This is the second time I have bought this case, the first was for a computer I built with my son some time back. It has plenty of room inside for hardware (large gpu's) and has great airflow.

Cons: None for me

Other Thoughts: Connect the fans to the proper fan headers on the motherboard (the ones with the sensors) and the case stays extremely quiet and still cool. Otherwise the fans run at full speed and its very loud.

5 out of 5 eggsPlenty of room makes for easy installation

Pros: I really appreciated the size of this case during installation. It made for easy placement of the mobo/plenty of room for the Hyper 212 Evo I installed. I was initially worried that I wouldn't be able to fit the fan and motherboard within a smaller case, so I got this one, and I wasn't disappointed. Also the case feels and looks solidly and ruggedly built.

Cons: It can be a little loud, but with the cooling that the case offers, it's a tradeoff I'm willing to make. All in all this is just a minor complaint.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect case!

Pros: I have had this case for some time now and I can only say that this is a pearl. there is enough space for pretty much everything you'd want to put in it. I have 2x evga gtx 770 dual classified, which are two oversized graphic cards as well as a corsair hydro h100i mounted on top and everything fits perfectly in it. There is also a lot of space for cable management and the airflow is great as well, keeping my computer at low temperatures, even after gaming for hours.

Cons: there could be washable filters, but considering the price, there is none.

Other Thoughts: If you are looking for a the best mid tower at the price and wish to have enough place for all of your components, this one is for you!

3 out of 5 eggsPoor Control panel position

Pros: Plenty of internal space for clean cable layout.

Cons: The power control panel is on top of the case along with reset switch, hard-drive activity LED and power LED. It is in a good position if the case was on the floor but the floor is a bad choice with the power supply air intake being on the bottom of the case which is why I liked this case. Along with that, the audio jacks and USB port cables hang in front of the DVD drive slots.

Other Thoughts: Switches and status LEDs should always be on the front panel. Front panel cables (audio and USB) should never be above front panel device user slots.

3 out of 5 eggsGood, but some flaws.

Pros: Spacious, has a lot of room for larger GPUs, good airflow, decent room for cable management, and space for a good number of fans of varying size.

Cons: ONE dust filter that is quite a pain to clean, have to take off both side panels and the top part which has the power button to take off the front panel, and my house is very dusty so the one filter is a near death sentence for my computer.

With a non-modular PSU cable management can be a bit of a hassle.

Other Thoughts: I don't know if it is because it is an older case but with a ASRock Z87 Extreme 3 ATX MOBO installed two of the risers on the right side of the mobo are about an inch out from the board. This had me very nervous when seating the ram and plugging in cables on the right side as I was afraid I might damage the board.
