5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case for target market

Pros: + build quality for a sub $100 case is superb. I've used a number of cases in this price range and this one is by far the best choice for a small office, home office environment.
+ Decent power supply for average build components
+ Airflow *plan*, especially like the 2 vents on the side panel help CPU and GPU air supply
+ Small enough to fit ON a desk, big enough to hold the components that the target market would require

Cons: - zero sound dampening! hard drive noise seems amplified, especially if case is on the desk top
- poor cable management options, you must be very careful and good to get cables routed out of the way
- no case fans included, presumably to keep the costs down (I suggest a quality 120 mm fan mounted up front, blowing in for most builds. I used two 80 mm fans because I had them laying around already.)

Other Thoughts: First of all it should be noted that this case was originally designed for the BTX form factor. If the right hand access weren't tip off enough, it's even stated on the case in many places. It was obviously retrofitted for mATX, hence some of the oddities. The target market is for the SOHO environment. With that in mind; a single optical drive, media card reader, hard drive and maybe a graphics card are all that is expected to be housed in this case. For those seeking a loaded compact gamer box, look elsewhere. I have used this case for a number of "workstation" type builds and I find it to be excellent.
My build:
i7 950 w/ stock cooler @ stock speeds
6GB of OCZ DDR3 1600 RAM
eVGA GTS 450 graphics card (avg GPU temp 42 C)
2X 80mm fans mounted @ rear of case blowing *IN* (avg CPU temps 50 C)
WD Caviar Black WD6402AAEX 640GB HDD
OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W P/S
Lite-On 24X CD/DVD
Vantec media card reader
Windows Exp Ind: 7.5/7.8/7.2/7.2/5.9

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Airflow and Non-Durable Power Supply

Pros: - Fairly nice looking cases.
- No distracting or annoying LED fans.

Cons: - There is NO 120mm FAN. There are NO FANS included with this case. The only possible fan they can be referring to is inside the power supply.

- Very poor airflow.

- Hard drives get very hot because they sit together without any airflow. (If you look at the pictures, your front fan will blow over your hard drive, not at it or through it.)

- CPU fan-duct only covers half of the CPU. It was useless for the stock Intel cooler so I removed it. If you install a larger after-market CPU cooler, it'll get in the way so you'll end up removing it anyway.

- The power supply fan began to make noise after half a year of ownership. It's a sign the fan is about to fail.

- Case finish retains fingerprints.

Other Thoughts: I threw out this case and power supply and replaced it with the Antec 300 case and Seasonic X750 Gold power supply.

What a difference! The case is a better value for the setup you get and keeps everything much cooler! -My hard drive temps dropped at least 10 degrees Celsius!

The Seasonic X750 Gold is one of the best power supplies available! Just search for "Seasonic X750 reviews" on sites like Johnny Guru (one of the more reliable power supply review sites).

TIP: If you want specs on the Cooler Master power supply included with the case, look for the "COOLER MASTER Elite Power RS-400-PSAR-J3 400W ATX12V v2.31" (can be found here at Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Small size but still easy to fit everything in the case. Plenty of room to expand case fans. I love Cooler Master cases, their designs are great, installation of all the components are always easy as can be.

Cons: CPU side vent doesn't even come close to being over the cpu fan. Not really a big deal though, they just shouldn't even put those things in.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great looking on the outside. Good price. Included 400 watt PSU with generous connections. fairly rock solid. tooless drive bays. Adequate potential for exceptional air flow.

Cons: Akward upside down and backwards orientation. PSU top mounted. NO fans included (it seems as if newegg says in the details that a 120mm intake is included, it is NOT)
Tooless drive bays seem cheap
No real cable management capabilites (no mobo tray or space to tuck cables behind panel)
Cheap power and reset buttons. Dim HDD light (power light is nice)
Thin manual (2 or 3 pages)
CPU duct does not line up. covers about 3/4 of the CPU stock fan. i had to angle the adjustable cone to make more of a direct duct.
Would rather have a single 120mm exhaust option than 2x 80mm holes.
SHOULD include at least one fan (besides PSU fan)

Other Thoughts: A fantastic choice for a computer for parents or grandparents who dont care about the inside.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Case

Pros: Very solid case/PSU for the price. Purchased my first one a few years ago, and just purchased another for a new build. No sharp edges, quality construction, small size.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Some of the other reviewers seem to be a bit off base. You can't buy a Micro-ATX case and then deduct an egg because it doesn't fit ATX boards. You can't complain that a mini-tower is cramped. For the money, this case/psu combo is great.

Be aware that fans are not included. The only reason I'm not listing this as a con is because I like to replace stock fans with something quieter anyway.

1 out of 5 eggsWhat case did you get?

Pros: Nice look, feel, size, and exterior.

Cons: Opens from the right, instead of the left. Doesn't seem like much of a problem at first, but this means the motherboard orientation is upside-down compared to normal.

As a result, the hard-drive bay blocks memory slots (luckily it's removable). You can insert the hdd into the fdd slot. If you have more than two hdds or two hdds and an fdd you're out of luck.

The PCIx slots are positioned directly under the power supply. The power supply fan is face-to-face with the video card fan (about 3/4" separation).

Motherboards have most cable/power connections near the bottom to avoid taking up the same space as the power supply. Due to the flipped orientation, however, now all of these connections and their cables are squeezed in the 3/4" between the power supply and the video card. Some of these cables hang very close to the fans.

The cpu fan duct DOESN'T OVERLAP THE CPU! It only covers half.

Other Thoughts: Some reviewers mentioned the 120mm front fan and two 80mm rear fans. These are just slots for such fans. The fans themselves are not included.

My motherboard is an ASUS P7H55-M Pro, with an ASUS EN9800GT video card. Maybe the fit is better with other boards, but I certainly don't recommend this case if using these.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the inconvenience. The case in question is designed to work with BTX motherboards. BTX systems open via the right side of the case and are meant to be workstation pc’s. Because most BTX motherboards are designed by the OEM manufacturer, the cpu placement varies. If you have any further questions please contact us via Live Chat.

4 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Mini-ATX
It has enough space for most builds. All of the cabling could be controlled with a bunch of zip-ties (fluorescent orange in my case, don't build without them). No problems with the motherboard power cables. Each was long enough.

Cons: The power switch, power LED, HDD LED cables were just a bit short for the motherboard I used. They reached, but I would have prefered to not have them overlap the board.
Would have preferred the front panel USB port at the top of the case instead of the bottom.
Easy build no tools as advertized.

Other Thoughts: In general I would like to see more tower cases with USB, e-SATA, IEEE1394 ports on or at the top of the case, as most of these cases are put on the floor or low shelf.
Case manufacturers please take note.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: This is a great case. Very solid and has nice amenities and come with a quiet power supply and looks great too.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I'm not a gamer, so the most important aspect of a power supply for me, is for it to be quiet. The power supply on this is case is very quiet. Uses a 120mm fan to cool.

4 out of 5 eggsnice case, but.....

Pros: Well made and nicely designed enclosure. I will buy more of these.

Cons: The power supply provided was DOA. This has happened to me more than once with other brands. From now on I will always upgrade the power supply option to a brand that I know and trust. Spend less than 35 bucks on a PSU and you run the risk of having an early failure.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case (and power supply)

Pros: Great design, plenty of room, quiet power supply fan, looks nice, keeps system cool.

Cons: Would be nice if rear of case accommodated a 120mm fan.

Other Thoughts: If I could fit a ATX motherboard in it I would!
