5 out of 5 eggsSoooo good I bought a second one in blue 4 yrs later!!!!!!

Pros: Room for everything, lots of fans. If your building any kind of rig and want to expand start with this first. This

Cons: It doesn't come with an autographed picture of Patrick Stewart.

Other Thoughts: Would not fit THIS liquid cooler unit.

But it probably said so in the specs and I wasn't paying attention, the HAF-X probably fits that cooler just fine though.

No eggs taken, its just that AWESOME!

4 out of 5 eggsOverall Great case

Pros: The case was vary spacious and I was able to fit a lot into over the years. I have owned the case for over 5 years now. All but one of the case fans lasted all 5 years so that is a plus.

Cons: The front USB slots where quite fragile, the spacer in them have all snapped over time, in one case shorting the USB port and in turn the board, (took we awhile to track that one down).

The front lower grill is a HUGE dusk/hair magnet. not sure what could be done about it, maybe an easy to clean filter? had to use a can of air on it every month.

Other Thoughts: The PCI slots do not line up perfectly with the ATX board, not sure if it was the board or the case at fault but with some wiggling and pressure I got it to work out.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: The size is great when you are starting out, but as my PC build progressed and I moved into water cooling GPU's with their own radiators I found it to be a little cramped.

This case is best suited for a custom loop.

Cons: The only real con is the fact there wasn't dust filters with this case. If you are running an Air cooled set up this thing turns into a dust bin.

Other Thoughts: Could stand to be a little taller if you want to run a 3 card SLI or Cross fire

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Case

Pros: I've used this case for about 5 years now. The amount of room to work with it very nice to have.

If you don't use the wheels just remember that the the power supply is mounted on the bottom. Carpeted floors + bottom mounted PSU + no wheels to keep the case elevated = possible incredibad user experience.

Wheels have a locking mechanism, which is very useful to those who place their setup on hardwood\laminate flooring.

Cons: Many many fans mean much much dust traveling around. Take care of the computer that takes care of you ;)

Other Thoughts: I expected the all those stock fans to be much louder than they are. This was a pleasant surprise. I hope to continue using this case for many years to come.

I may need to get an SSD adapter when I finally go that route. I cannot remember if the case came with one. But if it did, it's long gone by now. Then again, the case is big enough to just let an SSD sit on the bottom floor of the case. As long as you don't transport it often, that sort of practice should not be *too* bad.

1 out of 5 eggsPci-E slot doesn't accommodate card.

Pros: Great air flow. Looks great and good for cable management.

Cons: My r9-290x lightning does not snap into place with the pci-e holder. My older 560 ti fits perfect but this card is not supported by the case, therefore, I need to get another.

Manufacturer Response:

Good Morning Mathew,

I see that you're looking to mount your MSI R9 290X Lightning in the PCI-E rear panel. Can you send us a photo via CM Fanzone so we can assist you with installation?

I look forward to your response.

5 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: Plenty big!

Cons: see below

Other Thoughts: Not really a con but it has a firewire connection on the front. I could have sworn that apple deprecated it. Kind of a weird thing to still have an option for on this case but I guess there's a demand for it out there stilll.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: It is HUGE lol but I love it. Cooler Master HAF line is great. I built 5 computers with them. Cooling is never an issue and the super low noise level from the huge fans is perfect.

Cons: It is pretty darn big lol. Not a con but just measure where you want to put it.

Other Thoughts: Great company and great product!

5 out of 5 eggsLove this case!!

Pros: I hunted through cases for one that would be large enough to accommodate future expansion, while still giving me access to all of the important components. This cast fit the bill perfectly.
The HDD bays are all tool-less, and are easy to get going, the external drive bays are tool-less and can be easily adjusted, and you have full access to everything without having a door in the way.
The inside is spacious enough for growth, and there are plenty of places to route wires to keep a clean install. The LEDs on the fans light up my office, but have individual switches to turn the lights off.
If I decide to water cool in the future, I'm already set with pre-drilled holes and grommets at the top.
This case is solidly built, and I expect it to be ready for many years of use!

Cons: Because the Firewire (1394) hookup is a header, there aren't a lot of options for add-on cards. It would've been better if it were a standard plugin / extension type so it would work with the majority of add-on cards available. I also can't take advantage of the eSATA plugin on the front because the ASUS MOBO doesn't have a plugin for it. I tried getting some adapters from a Newegg Marketplace seller, but it didn't work out.

Other Thoughts: The only item I encountered when setting up was the front fan. I turned it 180 degrees so that I could route the power behind the panel. Very minor detail, but it might help to make the power cable longer, or reposition the cable on the opposite side of the fan so that it routes cleanly.

5 out of 5 eggsCapable

Pros: I'm on my second build with this case. It's got plenty of room, but doesn't stretch cables. The build quality is good. Only one point where I thought I was going to break something (PCI-e clips, see Cons).

Cons: I wish the HDD cage was turned 90 degrees. If it was, air would flow through freely when there aren't drives in it. Also, the screw-less retaining clips for the PCI-e lanes are a pain. I probably should have just removed them, but instead I resorted to clipping them to fit around large graphics cards. There are also no filters.

Other Thoughts: I liked this case, and would recommend it to anyone interested. However, I will probably experiment with Corsair for my next build. I have liked this enough I purchased a 912 for my wife's computer and an XB for my test bench based on my experience with this case.
