4 out of 5 eggsperfect for price

This review is from: Cooler Master Elite 430 - Mid Tower Computer Case with All-Black Interior and Windowed Side Panel

Pros: cheap price, great intake outtake ports, with great fan

Cons: cheap built quality, when installing the motherboard, i noticed the threads for the motherboard were poor

Other Thoughts: i would have voted 5 stars if it wasn't for the poor threading. comes with plenty of extra hardware

3 out of 5 eggsLooks Good

This review is from: Cooler Master Elite 430 - Mid Tower Computer Case with All-Black Interior and Windowed Side Panel

Pros: It looks good, and I got it for about $30 on rebate which is great considering it has a windowed side panel. The construction is reasonable. It comes with a blue fan in front which matched my build.

Cons: The cable management in this case is horrible. My build that was supposed to look nice ended up looking like a jumbled mess. The cables were everywhere and couldn't be routed anywhere. There are no holes to loop cables in and out of, just a large hole in the right side that spans the entire height of the case. Overall that is the major problem I have with this case. I docked it down two eggs because it's just that bad, at least to me.

Other Thoughts: I wish I had done more research at the time of buying this case. I would have definitely saved up to buy a better case like the S340

4 out of 5 eggsDecent case for the price

This review is from: Cooler Master Elite 430 - Mid Tower Computer Case with All-Black Interior and Windowed Side Panel

Pros: Decent looking
Very cheap
Good ventilation

Cons: Cable management (or lack there of)
There is absolutely no cable managements in this case. You can attempt to zip tie cables around the edges but it is very difficult to make the case look presentable with the large side window. There is no room behind the mobo to run cable.

Thin metal and plastic build (it is expected based on the price)

PCI cover slots are cheap bend out metal

Other Thoughts: All things considered, for 25$ you get what you pay for. The case looks decent from the outside and does everything it needs to.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome case with a couple minor complaints

This review is from: Cooler Master Elite 430 - Mid Tower Computer Case with All-Black Interior and Windowed Side Panel

Pros: Aesthetically speaking the case looks amazing with a sleek, relatively minimalist design, awesome side panel window and a good paint job. Airflow is superb, with 1 included 120mm Blue LED front intake fan and room for 5 more (2 top, 1 rear, 1 bottom, 1 side). Screw hole mounting measurements (fans, motherboard, psu, optical drive) were all exact, leaving hardware to align and mount perfectly. All this being said, there were a couple very minor gripes I had with this case (see cons).

Cons: The cable management can be a nightmare if you aren't working with a modular PSU (and possibly even then). There is little to no room behind the motherboard tray for cable routing and only a small corner to tuck them away near the HDD cage and front intake fan. The bottom 120mm fan mount becomes useless if you're using a PSU that's too long (like most higher-watt PSUs these days are) as it physically blocks two of the 120mm fan mounting holes.

Other Thoughts: All in all this is a great case, very well built with awesome airflow. I've used several of these for customer builds and haven't received a single complaint to date.

I'd highly recommend looking for a PSU offering flat cables (thermaltake is usually what I use), they are MUCH easier to route and hide given the minimal space. Don't bother buying a 120mm fan for the bottom mount, most PSUs on the market today are going to block those mounting holes.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent

This review is from: Cooler Master Elite 430 - Mid Tower Computer Case with All-Black Interior and Windowed Side Panel

Pros: This case looks really nice. It has a windowed side panel which was a requirement for me. Build quality is decent. Comes with a front blue LED fan which is great for blue themed builds.

Cons: The first time I got this case it came broken, and I got it replaced no problem. Cable management is pretty bad. The window is really big which would be good, but since the cable management sucks, it shows all the cables.

Other Thoughts: Overall really decent. This was my first build case and I'm really happy with it.

1 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: Cooler Master Elite 430 - Mid Tower Computer Case with All-Black Interior and Windowed Side Panel

Pros: It's cheap.

Cons: It's cheap. The dust plates just bend and snap off as opposed to being detachable. It's hard to get them off without bending the entire back of the case which is incredibly flimsy. When it shipped it was already bent so much that I couldn't mount expansion cards to it without bending it to the correct position. The entire case just seems cheaply made. I would avoid unless desperate for a low cost case.

Manufacturer Response:

Good Morning David,

I apologize your Elite 431 is not working correctly for you as this is one of our performance value chassis's that has qualities of a legacy chassis as you can see with the twisted rear PCIe panels. Our current line-up and chassis moving forward all take advantage of a replaceable rear PCIe covers. pelase let me know for further questions and concerns through our CM Fanzone via Live Chat, Support Ticket, or phones at the link below.
