Cooler Master HAF 912 Mid Tower Chassis

Cooler Master’s HAF 912 further enriches the HAF series by adding a compact, yet fully featured mid-tower solution for enthusiasts and budget conscious gamers alike. Its seemingly small exterior supports a plethora of interior features such as twelve devices and high end GPU cards.

The HAF 912 embodies the rugged aesthetic and qualities of its brethren while remaining attractively priced. Its traits more closely resemble that of a mid to high-end case than that of other cases in its price range. The HAF 912 pays tribute to the legacy of HAF 932 & HAF 922 in ease of installation, high airflow, and compatibility with water cooling hardware.

FEATURE RICH STARTER CASE FOR ALL LEVELS
HAF 912 is the most compact solution in the HAF Series that still provides full desktop tower component support.
REMOVABLE / ROTATABLE HDD CAGE
The HDD cage can be easily removed to accommodate long high-end graphics cards. Rotate the cage 90 degrees to adjust your system airflow and cable management setup as you need.

3 out of 5 eggsDecent Case, does not work with H100i

Pros: Decent case for the money. Not as nice as my old HAF full-tower case, but seems sturdy and had plenty of room for all the parts, except....

Cons: The Corsair H100i Liquid Cooling system is too big to mount to the inside of the case without hitting the motherboard.

Case instructions recommend mounting it to the outside of the case, but then you'd have to disconnect the hoses to thread them back through to the case interior, which defeats the whole purpose of a pre-built liquid cooling system.

I was able to get it to work by mounting the H100i radiator block on the inside of the case, then mounting the two fans on the outside, using long screws to reach and hold the two together. I them dremeled out part of the grate to make room for the fan power cables to slip back through.

It works, but had I known about this incompatibility, I would have picked another case for my build.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good case for the money. Has enough room for larger motherboards and long graphics cards. Keeps components cooler than most fan-cooled cases.

Cons: Not much room for customization. Pretty much, what you see is what you get. If you're looking to do a custom PC with some add-ons, I'd suggest continue shopping. Cooler Master and Lian-Li make some other cases that would better suit your needs.

Other Thoughts: I have moved to a different case since I had purchased this. Overall, it's a good case with good looks and decent size. I do more custom PC's that utilize water cooling systems and some bulky radiators and heat sinks, and this case does not facilitate those components very well.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case for my first build

Pros: decent size case, good airflow, nice case for a first-time builder.

Cons: One of the usbs on the front stopped working after about 6 weeks and I kinda wish the inside was painted. other than those minor things, I'm content with it.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid starter case

Pros: Good price, can fit larger GPU cards with the drive cage removed, moves buckets of air, looks ok, floor mounted 2 SSD cage and 2 HDD cage, takes optical drive with quick mount style lock.

Cons: Not as high quality feeling as I hoped, front panel a bit of a PITA to get off (top tab is behind the upper drive cages. Very difficuly to reach without taking both sidepanels off. Wish it was a bottom release style).
Cable management gromets would have a bit improvement to make sure you don't fray cables pulling them through. Edges are rounded off some but still worried me a bit.
Captive case screws would have been nice.

Other Thoughts: For the money, not bad. Will fit just about any mid-range build but if you are planning watercooling and multi GPU setups, might want to look elsewhere.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case!

Pros: Great Look
Fantastic Airflow
Sufficient Space Inside
Durable

Cons: Is a bit on the heavy side, however, this is not a big issue.

Other Thoughts: My main concern was space, and airflow when I was looking for a case to buy. This case was able to fit my needs and went beyond. The airflow is absolutely amazing, I have no doubts in my mind about my build overheating at all. The space was pretty close to not being big enough considering I had to fit a GeForce 770 GPU in their, but it still was able to fit with a bit of space to spare.
