Cooler Master HAF 912 Mid Tower Chassis

Cooler Master’s HAF 912 further enriches the HAF series by adding a compact, yet fully featured mid-tower solution for enthusiasts and budget conscious gamers alike. Its seemingly small exterior supports a plethora of interior features such as twelve devices and high end GPU cards.

The HAF 912 embodies the rugged aesthetic and qualities of its brethren while remaining attractively priced. Its traits more closely resemble that of a mid to high-end case than that of other cases in its price range. The HAF 912 pays tribute to the legacy of HAF 932 & HAF 922 in ease of installation, high airflow, and compatibility with water cooling hardware.

FEATURE RICH STARTER CASE FOR ALL LEVELS
HAF 912 is the most compact solution in the HAF Series that still provides full desktop tower component support.
REMOVABLE / ROTATABLE HDD CAGE
The HDD cage can be easily removed to accommodate long high-end graphics cards. Rotate the cage 90 degrees to adjust your system airflow and cable management setup as you need.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case for the budget conscious

Pros: * Big enough to fit any air cooler on the market.
* Mounts for 240mm radiators like the H100i, 120mm and 200mm fans at top of case.
* Looks really good, even better in person.
* Excellent cooling performance, I have mounted two 200mm, one 140mm and one 120mm.
* Decent cable management.
* Better than some more expensive cases on the market.

Cons: No thumbscrews for the right side panel, seems like such a silly thing to skimp on, I picked up a pack of 20 thumbscrews for $6, so why didn't Coolermaster just add two more thumbscrews?

The inside is not painted, but that isn't such an issue as the case doesn't have a window to see inside anyway.

Other Thoughts: In conjunction with a Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo and the aforementioned case fans, my AMD FX8350 temperatures are excellent, currently sitting on 37°C under full load crunching SETI@Home.

4 out of 5 eggsGood large case for low price, could have more cable room

Pros: Bottom line: Lots of internal space for long graphics cards and larger cooling solutions.

Can fit a H100i on the top part but I used an Antec Cooler 920 on the back 120 mm fan slot and it works great. I then put exhaust fans on the top and it works like a charm, especially when you are using open air cooled graphics cards.

Lots of room for additional fans and RAM cooling, the case doesn't get in the way of really anything you want to put in. I have 5 case fans and 2 in push pull on my liquid cooler, 2 on RAM, 2 on mobo... need I say more? You could easily do a full water cooling solution in this no problem, internal res and all.

Side door fits a 140 mm fan which is awesome. I got a PWM fan for it and slaved it with my GPU temp which has really led to some temp reduction which is nice to see. If you use blower style graphics cards this would be ideal cause the side fan could feed cool air into the blowers... BAM!

Cons: Only a few things which is why I only docked one egg:

1) the back door is a little thin and can pop out if you throw a ton of cables through the back (who doesn't?) which brings me to 2...

2) The space in the back between the mobo plate and the door is a little small so if you do throw cables that are thicker (nicer PSU's) it is a little tight and too many can bend the door out.

Other Thoughts: This was the case I used on my first build and for the most part it was a very nice case to start on because it has a lot of space. It will eventually be the case I use for a fully water cooled design as I will probably get something smaller for the current rig that I have. As weird as it sounds I feel like maybe it's too big and it's surprising that there isn't much cable room in back considering it's size. It's a mid tower but it's a big sucker.

5 out of 5 eggsHAF 912

Pros: Awesome tower. Looked up alot of reviews and videos on youtube. Must say, its a sweet looing case. Very modable. Took only a few minutes to strip down to bare bones. Going to do some sanding and start picking color schemes. Bought 2 coolmaster 200mm led fans. One for fron and top. Also comes with 2 120mm fans. One in front and in back. Even and positive airflow. Ill come back when my builds complete. You cant beat the price.

Cons: It wont tell me jokes...

Other Thoughts: This is my first pc build. You cant go wrong with the HAF tower your first time out.

5 out of 5 eggsBuy this!

Pros: Plenty of room in this case as well as room for 6 120mm fans. This was a huge selling point for me because my room gets rather hot at times. It came with two 120's wired to run on molex connectors so you don't have to take up valuable mobo fan headers. I'm running 6 case fans and this bad boy is nice and cool even under heavy use.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Great price and free shipping.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Case

Pros: - Lots of space.
- Easily expandable.
- Great airflow.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I recently moved from LA, California to Austin, Texas and sometime along the way here, the front usb deck snapped clean off the tower. Ended up having to superglue the lock clips back on.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: As stated in the review below dated 6/6/2013 11:33:15 PM. I forgot to put my nickname so it says N/A

Cons: I forgot one thing when doing my initial review. The standoff screws need to have a larger diameter head on them. This is not enough to deduct an egg. It is important to have the screw head make contact with the metal around the screw hole on the motherboard for grounding purposes. These screws will do the job, but I would feel more comfortable with larger diameter heads. I used standoffs from a previous build that use the same screws that are used in most computer cases themselves. Most of us have gazillions of these screws.

5 out of 5 eggsRoomy and Nice

Pros: After looking through a selection of cases for my first pc build, I finally happened upon this due to the price and the reputation cooler Master has.

After receiving the case I was surprised at how roomy it was and bigger, (especially upgrading from a small stock case PC)

Installation for all parts within the case was quick and easy, with more than enough stand offs to support any mother board.

Even my big 560 GTX GPU fitted in nicely with no problems.

The 2 case fans work perfect, and all wiring worked when plugged into the mother board

Cons: There IS a lack of Usb ports but that's really up to what you are needing supported.

Wire managing can be a little hard within the case if your PSU has a lot of extra wiring

One of the rubber stops inside to put the PSU on ripped off but I believe that was my own stupid fault

Other Thoughts: If you're going for a budget build or want an easy to assemble/disassemble case, look no further!

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Case

Pros: Plenty of room and great air circulation. I like the way the drive cages are set up. A ton of room for cable placement. Nice and sturdy. For the price, you can't beat this.

Cons: With the way it's designed, no cons. Mine had one of the standoffs broken on the front bezel (I know, there's no rear or side bezels, so why bother saying front?). I don't believe it happened during shipping as there was no damage whatsoever to the package. It doesn't hurt the case in any way, though, as the way it is designed the bezel still stays firmly in place.

Other Thoughts: Though it has plenty of cooling opportunities, the place one of the two fans is installed from the factory makes it redundant, though this only applies if you don't plan on adding any more fans. The one that is installed on the back, blowing out, is actually doing nothing more than exhausting air that it brings in through the large, top grate. I plan on buying a 200mm fan for the front in a couple of weeks, but for the time being, I moved the rear fan to the side panel, bringing air into the case in the same manner as the front one. After running Prime95 for four hours in each configuration, temps were almost a full five degrees cooler with the fans installed this way rather than the way it came.

When I buy the 200mm fan, I will have it in the front blowing in, a 120mm in the door like now, blowing in, and a 120mm in the back, blowing out like before, while leaving the top with no fan.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Case For the Price

Pros: After 7 months of use, this case has seen no problems and provided very easy building when putting my entire computer together. It has a very nice strong metal frame, and a tough look from front to back. It is extremely spacious, and has a whole back panel dedicated to cable management. Once finished putting the mother board, psu, gpu, cpu fan, ect. into the case I was able to hid almost all cables. The gpu and cpu fan fit into the case without any problems, and adding the hdd was as simple as 1,2,3. I have cleaned the dust from the dust trays and fans once since owned, and was pleased with the ease of doing so. I also plan on adding more fans in the future, and the case does not fall short of allowance of fans. Overall, I am very impressed with this case for the low price it's sold at. 5/5 will keep for the coming years.

Cons: I had slight troubles installing the motherboard due to pins not lining up, but I am not a computer expert, and I do not know if that was the cases or the mobo's fault.

Other Thoughts: Worth purchase, and zero complaints for the price, especially for first time computer builders, it makes the job a whole lot more easy
