5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very big. Good looking. Built well. Lots of fans. Blue is a nice dark tone. Lots of front ports. Easy to install components in. Very good cable management (tons of room between the side panel and back.. The slider that goes over the reset and power button is actually useful. 8 pin extender was a very nice bonus. WHEELS!

Cons: The hdd brackets are simply garbage, I hate whoever designed these. Some parts are plastic that feels cheap (hdd brackets and screwless 3.5 bays). Slightly stupid cable placement in the way of adding the second top 200mm fan,but all you need to do is cut a zip tie.

Other Thoughts: I got bored of my beat up Antec 1200 case and decided to replace it with this. I'm very pleased. This case had alot more space for cable management, looks better, and more ports than the 1200. This case is about an inch smaller height-wise than the 1200 but lots wider.

Pros: Very solid, well built. It shows thought went into the design and layout of the case, it's interior and abilities. Fit my DZ77 MB perfectly, with standoffs to spare. Hardware included was more than enough to mount everything. The lights, while bright, aren't burning holes in the paint bright. the supplied fans are QUIET, I was surprised. My CPU cooler fan makes more noise.

Cons: Front panel USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports are upside down. MOLEX adapters for the fans are cheap and hard to work with, top switch for LED's only affects front fan, not all fans.

Other Thoughts: Very surprised. Very heavy, but it is steel. Sides are well made, with the contours placed well to allow for cable runs underneath. I have used other CM cases, and this is quality wise the same. Nitpick though, on their lower end cases, sometimes hardware comes all separated in labeled bags, in the 942, it's all lumped into one big bag, so you have to sort it out.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing case...Worth the price.

Pros: To start I was considering this case, Antec 1200, Corsair 500r or 650D, NZXT phantom 630. I went for this case because of air flow mostly. First the case if huge like all the reviews say (barely fits on my desk) but I do not mind it. But for such a huge case it is build very well nearly 40 pounds dry weight. Solid all around metal where it needs to be. Only fragile thing on the case I would say is the tool-less HDD/SSD bays but even that is not bad unless you tear them out. Comes with only 1 ssd bracket so plan ahead. The button lock for cd drives/ fan controls worked flawlessly. Out of the box everything worked for me. See few people complaining about the fans not being advertised speed of 700 RPM mine are at 720 RPM so I guess they had bad luck. Like I said case is huge so cable management is a breeze I have mATX so my mobo gets eaten in the case but even with ATX you will have A LOT of room. Then to reason why I got... it Air flow. in old case my MSI gtx 680 with twin froster got to 60-70 degrees (72 was highest I ever seen) with my HAF X the gpu doesn't pass 55 degrees under load. In description on newegg doesn't say but rear exhaust fan supports 120mm fan, I have 120mm rad with push/pull on it. Everything worked fine out of box; fans, front USB, etc. Highly suggest this case worth the money easily. Plus the blue edition looks so nice not as bright as I thought enough to see the inside but not blinding bright as you would get with cathode. But looks great with the side window and dark blue.

Cons: None so far. Owned for a week so if I can think of any I will repost.

Other Thoughts: I read tons of reviews on this case and I knew it was huge...but still was not ready for how BIG this case is make sure you got somewhere to put it.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst case

Pros: Very roomy enterior. Nice blue led fans. Very good air flow from the large stock fans.

Cons: With the Maximus V Formula MOBO, the CPU cut out does not allow for full access to allow for quick swapping of CPU fans. When I replaced my stock cooler with a water cooler, had to remove the mobo completely to get at the back. This could be from the MOBO, but I assume most MOBO have standard CPU placement, but I could be wrong...look at my tech level.

Other Thoughts: Cooler Master HAF X
Intel i5 3570K
ASUS Maximus V Formula
EVGA GTX 670 FTW 4GB
Corsair Dominator Platinum 16 GB (8x2) 1600
Corsair HX850 850W PSU

5 out of 5 eggsEggxelent full-tower case!

Pros: This case is very easy to work on/ in, has lots of features, and looks great.

Cons: It scared the heck outa me when the header cable for the front panel USB 2.0 started smoking when I booted up the first build I put in it, but I use the other 3.0 ports anyway, and I've been so happy with the case overall that it's not worth knocking an egg off (and I think I had the header on the wrong pins XD).

Other Thoughts: In the 7 months and counting that I've had this case, I've gone from a phenom ii x4 to a 3930k, stock cooler to a big Phanteks cooler, and from an ASUS GTX 570 DCII to a pair of their DCII 670s, and other than wishing I'd bought power cable extensions, I haven't had any real problems with the case. All the features are there, the build quality is great, the price is fine for what you get, and my favorite color is blue. I'm looking forward to dipping my toes into some liquid cooling in there when I'm done throwing GTX Titans at it, just for kicks. I love this thing.

4 out of 5 eggsHAF X Blue Edition

Pros: Very nice case. The blue is a nice touch. Lots of room.

Cons: The grounding wire under the top cover is cut in two either from it getting the top closed onto it or some ?not nice guy? at the MF plant thought it would be funny.

Other Thoughts: Newegg ships incredibly fast for every purchase I make. Bought on Monday delivered on Wednesday.

5 out of 5 eggsI can hide the bodies better than you!

Pros: Very nicely engineered piece of equipment here. Very satisfied with the purchase.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Just want to mention that since it only comes with 1 top fan you may want to consider covering the gaping hole for the second (front) top fan. I just cut out some thin lexan to cover it. worked like a champ.

4 out of 5 eggsLarge and in charge!

Pros: Excellent cable management/options. Good cooling management & options. Ample room for larger internal hardware, i.e. long graphics cards or after market cooling fans etc. Extremely customizable internal space. Sturdy. It's more than most people could dream of needing in terms of the ability to upgrade/add on in the future.

Cons: I found installing my 1 TB hard drive "tricky" to fit in the locking pin system within the drive tray. It was a very tight fit, and took much longer than I expected just to get the drive in the tray. In my opinion, I wouldn't recommend this case to someone building a PC for the first time, unless you've got some help.

Other Thoughts: I have a smallish "nook", built into my desk and this case comes nowhere close to fitting. It's not an issue per se, but I would recommend looking at the dimensions and weight, it's heavy, before purchasing.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Nice

Pros: Large case, plenty of room for future upgrades, includes 4 fans and can add additional fans if you desire. Very well made, plenty of room to work with during your build. If you question how big the case is please read the details b/c i was shocked how big this case was but I'm not working in a tight space so I had plenty of room for the case. Highly recommend this case for anyone looking to build an attractive/solid computer.

Cons: Pricey but you pay for what you get
