5 out of 5 eggsStorm Trooper

Pros: CM great work with the storm Trooper, beautiful case, easy to work, I love the carrying handles. I have the HAFx-942 but is to heavy; mean hard to lift or carry, but the trooper make my life easy.

Cons: But Cooler Master was a little cheap not to put a 200 or a 140 fan in left panel door for more windstorm of air cooling.

Other Thoughts: Congratulation Cooler Master for the beautiful case... ah yes is a great idea of the removable, 90 degree rotatable HDD cages for easier hard-drive installation. great work...

5 out of 5 eggsSpacious, accomodating case!

Pros: -Lots of space
*Room for more fans
*Room for water cooling
-Nearly every fastened-in object can be moved/rotated/deleted
-Good cooling
-Tool drawer for extra screws/zip-ties/manuals

Cons: -Fan power connector placement is fairly sketchy, but not enough to take off an egg.

Other Thoughts: -Great case! Has *more* than enough room for any sort of build. Even has enough room for an oversized ATX-L MoBo.
-VERY big. Probably bigger than you think it will be, even after being told how big it is.

5 out of 5 eggsMonolith Of Power and Destruction

Pros: This case is amazing. Wire management is a breeze and with the hard drive cage swappable locations give you plenty of options to do what ever you want.. The handle is very rugged and i like the position of it. The styling for a handled case is very aggressive and unique. I don't get where people say this case feels cheep, it's 31lbs of steel. The construction of the case I received was flawless and every panel and rivet was fitted perfectly. They also give you a ton of hardware to add things like extra fans HDs and such. The compartment on the bottom is great. I put my wireless receivers for my mouse, headset, and network adapter when I haul this thing off to lans. With all my gear inside, 1050watt power supply, dual video cards, drives, this thing weighs over 70lbs. It's a beast. The cooling and air flow is the best I ever had in a case. I can't go on enough about it.

Cons: I replaced the included 120mm fans with Cooler Master 120mm Sickle flow fans. When using the integral speed controller the LEDs on the fans would blink at low rpm. If you want to add additional fans, you need to use the ones that come with a separate lead for the LEDs. The nice thing is this case comes with those extra power leads built in. I was using a separate fan controller any way, so this wasn't a big deal but I though I should mention it.

Other Thoughts: This case is just too fricken cool and I love it. I carry pictures of it in my phone and show it off like they are pictures of my children. The responses I get are great. "Is that a computer or a gunship." "I have no idea what that is, but I'd buy it and tell my friends to come over just to look at it." "Does a tornado come out of that thing!" "I want to live in it!" Ample room, hard drive mounting options, wire management, quality of construction airflow, aggressive styling, this case has it all.

The first case I received was damaged in shipping due to severe UPS mishandling. Cooler Master packed it very well too. Newegg made RMA a stress free event and were professional all the way.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Case

Pros: This case can be mistaken for a suitcase, so no worries about upgrading. Fits anything except HPTX and videocards longer than 12.7 inches. I plan to keep this case for a very, very long time.

The fans are quiet -though I can hear them at full speed- and the red LEDs in front won't keep me awake. This is a big change from the blue LEDs in the Velocity Micro case I used to have, which I quite literally used to read by.

The handle is a great feature and the reason I bought this case. I'm in college so every three months or so I have to move, and lugging a 50lb+ computer around that often is not as fun as it sounds. The handle makes this much, much easier, especially if stairs are involved (and they are. Oh yes, they are.)

Overall, this case looks good (sleek, yet menacing with those red fans), sounds good (as in there is little to no sound), and features plenty of room for expanding storage or upgrading whatever (unless you want an HPTX mobo, since this only goes up to XL-ATX)

Cons: I put in a Corsair H80 so now I have nothing to do with the 140mm fan I replaced! There is nowhere that this size fan will go except on the back exhaust, everything else (sides, bottom, front) are 120mm. Not really worth taking an egg off, but slightly annoying nonetheless.

I did take an egg off for the documentation though. As many others have said, the documentation really does suck. A lot. Considering Cooler Master's reputation, I expected a lot more than a glorified booklet with (small) pictures and no words. Luckily, this case is pretty intuitive if you have built computers before, the only part where I got stuck was the stupid metal bar behind the HDD cages (which you have no need of if orienting the cages fans-forward). It turns out this bar is not welded to the case as I initially feared, the teeny tiny black-on-black screw that holds it in place is just hard to see. Just as hard to see as the picture illustrating it in the documentation in fact.

Other Thoughts: Despite the truly awful documentation (seriously, it's like a LEGO instruction book! The pictures have headers and no other text! Come on!), I would still cautiously recommend this case to new builders simply because of how nice this case really is. Don't let the awful documentation scare you off, just anticipate the extra time you'll need and pay very close attention to the pictures.
Experienced builders should have no problem at all.

In short, this is a great case with a great price. Buy it! (edit: try to buy it at $149, it's a steal at that price).

3 out of 5 eggsCool but Flaws

Pros: Its huge
Great amount of Room
Great Cable Management
Awesome Hard Drive bays

Cons: Theres really only 2 things I hate about this case.
1. Its not a tool-less design but I knew that going in
2. My microphone port on the front of my case doesnt seem to work for any reason. Ive tried everything but theres no way im gonna pay to ship this thing for a replacement.

Other Thoughts: I really do love this case and if the front microphone port was working I might have givin it 5 eggs.

But I still love Newegg and I got it fast so I'll be back

3 out of 5 eggs...

Pros: - Handle on the top
- Cool design
- Lots of room

Cons: - The plastic is so cheap, I opened the box just to find one of the feet had broken off, now I have to send it back
- The handle is not exactly in the right spot for the weight of it, it's a bit back heavy
- The plastic film on the slot near the top wouldn't come off, and I couldn't get anything to hold it still while I tried to get it off

Other Thoughts: It looks cool and everything, but I would expect the feet to be made better. It's a heavy case, come on, why are the feet made of the same plastic as a cheap pen?

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsNice case

Pros: I upgraded from the CM mid case which is just like this, and this one was even better. Nice cages, all the fans work, and it has DUST FILTERS!!!! Sweet pickles, that makes me happy.

Cons: There was a two pin connection, which i guess is a led, but it wasn't connected to anything... don't know where it goes. but everything works, o.O

Other Thoughts: hidden drawer.... for your "stuff", CM I like your style.

4 out of 5 eggsOn the Case

Pros: This case has plenty of room for 8 x 3.5" HD's plus 4 x2.5" drives. If that's not enough there are 3 x 5.25" as well. The overall build quality is very good. I was unsure if I would like the rubberized surfaces, well now that I have the case I can say that I love it. The surface has a quality feel to the touch and it has a very professional "finished" look. There are many features that stand out on this case first I would like to point out it's looks. The case looks as though it came straight out of a batman film, "in a good way" the thing looks like it would kick your but into next week if you gave it any guff. Beyond that the ability to change the orientation of the HD bays is my personal favorite feature.

Oh cooler master does not cheap out on the little extras like thumb screws this thing come with a grip of extras.

Cons: OK here is a list of all the things that are not perfect about this case. That is not to say they are bad, just not perfect so when I add them up I had to deduct an egg.

A couple the holes where not tapped perfectly so not all the screws were easy to get started.

Where there is lots of room in the top of the case, you cannot use a corsair H100 in push pull in the top. The crossbar of the handle gets in the way.

5.25" to 3.5" bay adapter does not have a perfect fit. It is a very good fit but not perfect.

Other Thoughts: Right now this case is on sale and has free shipping, If you are in the market for a true enthusiast level case here is your chance to get one for about $140.00. I don't think anything in that price range even comes close to the features and build quality of this case. Even at $180.00 this case is well worth the price, so make hay while the sun shines you wont regret it. "unless you do"

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Looks awesome and it was just great to work with in my opinion. I just couldn't be happier with this case. Quiet too!

Cons: Makes your friends jealous....

Other Thoughts: I think this case was probably a bit of overkill but I am still happy with it, it is large so keep that in consideration when buying.
