Pros: unbelievable ungodly amount of space to build the pc of your dreams. quality and craftsmanship is awesome. really will be the last case you will ever have to buy!!! I have been building pc' s since 2000 and have at least 30 builds under my belt. never has a build gone so smoothly and so effortlessly with this case. Cooling options are to numerous to mention .. will fit all over sized coolers .. noctua, cryorig R! , and Cooler Master V8 GTS

Cons: didn't come with bunk beds installed .... they would almost fit!!!

5 out of 5 eggsUltra tower

Pros: An imposing monster of a case. Rest assured, anything in this monster will dominate whatever environment it shows up in. It has style and scale on a level no other case can touch. Anything can fit and everything is compatible with this enclosure.

Cons: It will make any setup you fill it with look small. It weighs nearly 50 pounds with nothing inside.

5 out of 5 eggsKiller Tower

Pros: Awesome choice to get this tower, of course if you are limited for space this is a bigger than average tower, you can fully load this tower with anything, and im sure it will keep it cool, i have in mine liquid cooled with front and rear fans as well as 2 upper fans and bottom fans, this tower also comes with fliter vents, all aluminum case painted black, well packaged and no scratches, or uneven color any where, many internal features as described, hinged side panels, a beauty and well thought out in my opinion

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: in the begining i thought it was pricey but in the past when i purchased other towers that were in the $150 range and i didnt know any better those were very flimsy junk towers compared to this one, this cooler master cosmos II is like a cadillac well built and solid so for the price i am not even about to complain ...............

1 out of 5 eggsGreat Newegg service - Horrible CM

Pros: Huge case with all kinds of mod potential. Adequate cable management, 98% steel and aluminum construction, tons of drive bays, Room for two large radiators for liquid cooling. Fast shipping and second to none customer service from Newegg!

Cons: Parts that are made of plastic are flimsy, horrible customer service from Coolermaster, bad design for placement of motherboards in case; too high, could really benefit from a pull out motherboard tray. Additionally, it would be great if this case was offered with a side window option.

Other Thoughts: I have purchased three of these cases since 2009, and bought this new design on the 17th of July. All three cases arrived with bad fan controllers. The fan controller and power module for the Cosmos II is a very cheaply made fan controller that will be sure to give you problems. If you decide to buy one of these cases, you need to plan on putting your own fan controller and some type of power and reset switch in to it. Be assured that the one that comes with it will most likely go bad on you if it doesn't arrive non-functional to start with. Additionally, though the case if heavy and appears to be well made, be very careful of the plastic parts on the case. They are very easy to break, especially the hot swap bay doors. When you do need a part, be prepared to wait months for it to be sent to you and to be placated when you call Coolermaster's customer support, with promises they will never keep.

Manufacturer Response:

Good Afternoon Deborah,

I apologize our Cosmos II case is not working correctly for you. If you're having any issues with parts on your recent purchase you can always contact us directly for a Parts Request and we will send you replacement parts immediately.

Please let me know for further questions.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case!

Pros: Extremely well built with lots of airflow, plenty of room for Water cooling, Easy access doors. It also has 5 fans with room to add 4-7 more depending on sizes.

Cons: The razor keypad finish had started to separate on the buttons but I was able to apply a little pressure and the problem disappeared.

Other Thoughts: When I ordered this case I knew it would be big but I was still shocked when I received it just how big it was. If you plan on water cooling this is definitely the case you want to have because of the room in it.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing case... IF you need it.

Pros: This is an absolutely incredible case. It has almost everything you could want in one. Plenty of space for hard drives/SSDs, integrated fan controller, lots of space for cable management and excellent cooling. And it looks cool, tool.

Cons: This case is HUGE and HEAVY! DO NOT get this case unless you know you need one this big. If you get it just because it looks cool, you'll end up regretting your decision when you need to move your computer.

Other Thoughts: Fantastic case, IF you need it.

5 out of 5 eggsLove this Case

Pros: -Freaking HUGE!

-Able to fit everything my Mobo can have and more.

-Great design for wire management.

-Fan controller on case

Cons: -very heavy (maybe a pro too)

-no window to show off build (very minor issue as I'm planning to buy a spare door to mod with a window)

Other Thoughts: This is a wonderful case, from the top 'roll'-bars down. The removable hinged doors are well designed, for ease of access during a build/upgrade. The cable management system is designed well also, so no wires get in the way of air movement. The fan controller works very well and frees up unnecessary Mobo wire clutter. The only thing I can suggest is to plan your build around not having to lift the case too many times, this thing is heavy pushing around 85 lbs. after everything was installed.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat!!!

Pros: Everything -1 complaint...

Cons: The screws that come with this case are a joke... You would think for a 300 dollar case you could get better hardware... I've never seen such horrible mother board screws in my life... Corsiar at provides washers, screws that are not serrated on the back... This is a horrible horrible joke... I love the case but it only takes 9 screws to ruin the whole experience. Those screws if not careful and over tightended could easily damage a mother board...

Other Thoughts: VERY DISAPPOINTING COOLER MASTER... do a better job on the hardware screws you provide and be the product you claim to be. I'm very very very disappointed by this.

I gave this case 3 eggs although it's worth 5, but because the screws are so bad, so horrible that will be my rating. These screws are of low quality and not taking into account the components they are being attached to. I hope they do not cause any problems with my mother board. I should order some mother board mounting screws from corsair at least they are of good quality and does not make me worry about the damage they can cause because they are not serrated on the back side.

Customer dissapointed.

4 out of 5 eggsOverall awesomeness

Pros: It’s big, I mean huge. It can hold more drives than you could possible use. It can fit any length graphics card(s) and still have room left. It can hold up to ATX-XL boards; my EXT-ATX looks small in it.
Really easy to build with this case; bigger cases make for easier builds in my opinion, and this thing is huge.
It’s metal. I love metal cases. This is mostly aluminum / steel and some plastic. I think metal looks better. It’s stronger, it’s tougher, and I believe the metal helps with thermal dissipation a little. This thing will last a lifetime. I won’t ever have to buy another case.
It has a great CPU cutout for upgrading your CPU cooler without having to remove your motherboard. I’ve seen others, but this one I would actually feel comfortable using.
Good cooling fan support. Good water cooling support. I can confirm that the top case can fit a corsair H-110 280mm radiator and fans provided you mount it with the case sandwiched between the radiator and fans (fans outside the case, radiator inside) The top fan cover accommodates the fans outside the case without problem. I love that the bottom rails elevate the case off of the floor for better ventilation.
The doors are on hinges and easily remove. If you are like me and frequently are inside your case updating/upgrading/adding things to your computer, this just makes things easier. I really am not a fan of the “insert door tabs into case slot and slide forward” thing. I always seem to have a bulk of cables on one side that tends to flex the door or worse I can’t get it to close at all. If there is stress on the doors the tabs bend. The tabs get bent through other mechanisms and don’t work well. I also don’t like constantly using screws to secure the doors, then having to unscrew them again. With this case, the doors are on hinges and you just shut them until it latches. To open, just press down on the lever and they are open. Super easy and quick, no tools required and no busted knuckles.
Build quality is excellent overall. I really think it’s quite attractive. Nice touches like the power supply mounting from the outside. I was able to set cable routing with the power supply slid out of the case slightly and it made making those connections much easier with the PSU out of the way. Disk drive fans on a hinged case with the wires routed at the hinge for a nice clean connection. It has easy-peasy cable routing. It’s really nice. I have 5 drives and two large graphics cards and it’s nice and clean. There is plenty of room to route on the other side of the motherboard. Doors have plenty of clearance, so even if you muck it up a bit the door closes no problem.
Built in fan and led controller if you are in to that kind of thing. Lots of leads from the fan controller for extra fans, lots of led leads (overkill really). Leads are generally well labeled.

Cons: Nothing huge, but a few little things would make this really great case even better.
Documentation is really poor. If I was someone doing my first build I would probably be on the phone a lot with support. I’ve had this complaint with all cooler master cases (3 total). I mean seriously, a couple of hours for someone to type up a more thorough manual would cost almost nothing.
The map for mounting the motherboard screws for the Extended ATX motherboard is wrong. Small issue, but if you follow the map (stamped to the inside of the case where the motherboard goes) you screw in 3 more mounting screws than you actually need and it forms an extra column of screws.
They have the motherboard mounts too high (my opinion) in the case. If they would lower it just an inch it would allow a radiator and fans to be mounted at the top inside the case. As it is now, it overlaps the motherboard and it won’t fit, even if you made it fit, it is blocking ATX power, and CPU fan connections. Fortunately you can run fans on top of the case and radiator inside (case sandwiched between), but there isn’t room for a push-me pull-you set up with two sets of fans. The case is big enough that there is plenty of room to lower the motherboard mounts if they chose. For me, this was the biggest issue with the case, and it’s not a huge one, and certainly not one that would prevent me from recommending this case.
The case is big, so cable length can become an issue. I had a serious challenge getting enough length out of the 8 pin ATX power cable from the PSU (very bottom of the case) to the motherboard header (very top of the case). I also was sweating other cable length issues, but I had no other problems.
It’s heavy. It’s heavy empty. It’s really heavy once you finish your build. Not an issue for me, but if you were someone who went to a lot of LAN parties, you would want to invest in a nice furniture dolly, or mount some heavy duty casters, and maybe get a body-builder friend, or a forklift to help you move it. Seriously, you don’t want to have to move this thing if you don’t have to. Like other choices, it’s a tradeoff. You want a big, well-made metal case with room for umpteen drives, four GPUs, a huge power supply and lots of water cooling? Then it’s going to be heavy.
There are holes in the door for mounting up to two 120mm fans. It would have been much nicer if they had been threaded to accommodate fan screws. As it is, they are just holes. In fact, why didn’t the case come with them already installed like the drive bay underneath? Already wired in the same slick way they set up the drive fans, with a quick-disconnect at the hinge area? Oh well.
The hot swap bays are tight, and it’s difficult to remove them. Plugging in an SSD would be a challenge; they are set up for full size HDD. It’s still a nice feature, but it would have been slick if it was made just a little bit better.
The internal drive bays have tool-less mounts that are ok. I wouldn’t call them cheap as

Other Thoughts: , but considering the price of the case and the build quality of the rest of the case, they don’t quite measure up. Also in my case they applied the “cooler master” sticker on one of the lock buttons upside down.
When you open the front drive bay slide cover to get to your external drives it blocks the front case fan.
Other thoughts
You might think from the length of my cons that I don’t like this case. Nothing could be further from the truth; I’m just giving full disclosure. I love this case; in fact it’s the best case I’ve ever had. It’s almost perfect. I absolutely recommend it to anyone who would ask.
