The new Elite 431 Plus builds upon Cooler Master expertise and delivers high-end features in the affordable market space. Cooler Master believes that just because something is affordable, it doesn’t have to lack features or be a “budget” product.

The Elite 431 Plus features a classic black Cooler Master design with clean, yet attractive lines. It has been built to last and uses high quality materials, unlike many “budget” products that tend to use cheaper materials that don’t last. It’s also been designed to keep the components inside the case cool and not only does it have space for plenty of additional cooling fans, but it can also be fitted with large CPU coolers, such as the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus.

  • newegg Excellent Cooling The COOLER MASTER Elite 431 Plus comes with one front 120mm blue LED fan, front ventilation design and four extra fan mounts for efficient ventilation and effective system cooling.
  • newegg External SATA X-Dock The external SATA X-Dock allows hot-swap data access to your 3.5" SATA HDD, eliminating the hassle of opening case and groping for the cables.
  • newegg Transparent Side Window The transparent side window provides a direct look of inner system. The blue LED fan gives out mystic light for an eye-catching fun.
  • newegg Easy Installation The tool-less design for 5.25" and 3.5" drive bay enables easy installation and upgrade. It also supports ultra-long VGA card within 400mm, making it an ideal dwelling for high-end card.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Great case for the money.Lost of room for graphics cards.High potential for good airflow, with the right fans.

Cons: Really bad for cable management. There is about a 1/2 inch gap on the right side of the case. All you can fit in there is the cables from the front panel.

4 out of 5 eggsgood case

Pros: It has everything you need out of a case of that budget. USB 3.0 front header is a plus as well as the plexi glass on the side of the case is a plus for that budget. Overall decent case for the price. Could be better but as they say you get what you pay for.

Cons: Absolutely no room for cable management which is the reason why i bumped a egg off the rating.

5 out of 5 eggsKept it myself

Pros: I bought this for a friends build but I liked it so much I kept it myself. I was building a machine for my friend and picked this case out for him. When I opened the box and saw the case, I decided to give him another case and I kept this one.

Cons: The side of the case was a little hard to slide off but not a big deal.

4 out of 5 eggsCramped

Pros: Window looks good, lots of spots for extra fans, hot swap bay, LED fan, sturdy

Cons: its quite small for a full size ATX board, and my build became pretty cramped. depending on what psu you get, the bottom fan slot might not fit a 120mm fan. only 1x usb 3.0

Other Thoughts: removing front panel covers and back pci slot covers requires a little brute force.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for your first build.

Pros: -great for beginners
-lots of storage space
-fits long GPU's
-lots of cooling compatibilitys
-2 optical drive compartments
-nice window view

Cons: -absolutely NO way to route your cables
-very hard to make a clean build with this case

Other Thoughts: If you have OCD or just dont like a dirty looking PC, dont get this case. It is very hard to route cables throughout the entire case, otherwise this case does a great job for beginner builders.

1 out of 5 eggsCheapo Case

Pros: It's fairly cheap, on the face of it.

Cons: This case seems cheap, until you realize you have to spend another $25 on additional parts to really complete it.

It comes with 1 fan--really?? Okay, so there's $15 for a set of 4 more.

It comes with 2 sets of toolless clips for its five 3.5" drives--okay, there's another $10-15 to order more from Cooler Master (no, they will NOT send them to you for free). "There are clearly only two pairs shown in the photos", says Cooler Master. True, but the photos don't show everything, like all the mounting screws, etc. My fault for assuming a case advertised as "tool-less design for 5.25" and 3.5" drive bay" would in fact have tool-less design for those bays? CM says yes. I say it's sleazy of them to omit these clips.

And you know those additional fans you bought? Well, turns out they're not gonna work out so great anyway. There are spots for 2 on the top, but only 1 would fit with my micro atx board. You can put one on the bottom if you want, if you don't want to use the bottom 3.5" bay because, yep, a fan blocks access to it.

Also, the markings for the standoffs for a micro atx board on the case are wrong. Nice cherry on the cake there, Cooler Master.

All in all, in retrospect, if I knew this $40 case would actually be a $65 case, I'd have just spent that $65 on a better case up front. And next time I will certainly make sure it's from a brand that isn't quite so sketch. You may have won the battle, Cooler Master, but you'll lose the war with these tactics.

Other Thoughts: Meh. Overrated case.

5 out of 5 eggsFantasic case for price

Pros: i got on sell for a while back for like 37 or 40..not sure why so many people are having trouble with cable management . i got a modular power supply and a few zip ties and this baby looks beautiful inside..only cords that can be seen are the 24 pin and cpu pin..the rest of my cords are all tied to the sides and the front panel connectors can be ran through the back to the front.

Cons: although it says it fits micro atx boards it has trouble doing so..most have the CPU and Ram slots are seated up higher than what you would have for a normal board so it makes the top fans difficult to install with a m-atx board...i actually had to notch a corner out of one of my fans to fit around the RAM sticks...but it works and dont rattle the case lol

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Side window.
blue LED color scheme/front fan.
looks decent.
multiple options for placement of extra case fans.
good airflow if you buy extra case fans.
Price.

Cons: A Lot smaller than I expected it to be, was hard to fit everything -I had to move my GPU to a different slot on the mobo because it was nearly touching my hdd, which made connecting everything to the mobo/psu a real pain. -I actually like the size because it makes it more ideal to store/move, just annoying to work with.
Didn't come with any additional fans aside from the front panel one, which wasn't a huge issue, just an annoying inconvenience.
stock airflow is complete garbage (if you forgot to buy extra case fans), the front panel fan is practically useless since your PSU cords are going to pretty much barricade that air from reaching the rest of the case anyways (it's pretty much just vented into psu chords).

Other Thoughts: It's a decent case for the price, but don't be expecting anything too fancy out of it. I kinda regret not shelling out a few more bucks for a case with better airflow, or that at least came with fans.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: It looks good. Nice size window that stops short of the drive bays, which most people will use to hide wires.

Lots of room and easy to work in.

Surprisingly light, but still sturdy. I like the tool free install of the drives.

Cons: I feel cheated that there is only 1 USB 3.0 on the front panel, when most motherboard connectors support 2.

I don't understand why the bottom fan mount is there when an ATX PSU will almost always block it with the cables.

It's true that there is really no cable management. With a side window like this, there should really be an easier way to tidy up the cables.

You have to break the PCI slot protectors to use them, so you can't just cover them back up.

Other Thoughts: You will need to get creative with making your cables look nice and improving the air flow.

Consider adding additional fans. I added 1 rear and 1 top mounted each for exhaust.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat budget case

Pros: Looks great! The pre- installed fan is really nice and quite. I added a few more because i intend to game with this computer and want alot of cooling. This case has some seriously great airflow. Simple to install everything. Very clean looking case.

Cons: There is a plug in inside the case where the external 3.5 inch drive by plugs into.... well its broken. I didnt take an egg because i have no desire to ever use it but did annoy me a little because the only way it could get broke is when it was installed as it is encased in the case its self. So be aware to check everything if you do buy it. Also there is really no room for wire management but since i'm only runny a few drives i coiled everything up in the bottom of the bays. If you are going to be filling this thing up be aware.

Other Thoughts: Had plenty of room for my full sized XFX 7800 series GPU
