5 out of 5 eggsI loved working with this case.

Pros: Lots of room inside. Cable Stable to hide cables coming from psu. Manual was good. The labeling inside the case was just crazy impressive (like where to put the screw mounts for the mobo, e.g.). The cabling arrangement was so wonderful! The cabling comes out of the motherboard and just disappears into its beautiful, dark, well-painted interior. All edges were smooth inside...but it hardly mattered there was so much room to work. Case fans are quiet. Even the supplied screws are black! The mechanism for smaller ssd drives in cleverly done.

Cons: Gonna take up a lot of floor space for mid-tower. The 5" drive bays are plastic and push in too easily. Sorta ugly exterior for my taste (very minor complaint). One of the case fan cables didn't have enough play to reach the mobo connector for it. Had to undo the factory cabling ties to fix it.

Other Thoughts: I've only built a half dozen computers, but this case was easily the best experience I've had.

5 out of 5 eggsA Vendor Soultions is why.....

Pros: For my new 2011-v3 build I wanted to go water cooling, and black Friday brought me perhaps the last CM Haf XM case to be sold here ( appear to have been discontinued) and the 200 Series Seidon water cooler. Neat fit, no worries.

Hot swap docks a nice touch and my EATX board fit comfortably. Easy Access with the latch operated side panel ( like my old trusty xw5000). Arrived intact..which I breathed easy for as I need to finish the build this weekend.

The side panel design made it really easy to make a neat setup for cables and that sliding cover by the PS is a nice touch.

Caught this on a great deal at the lowest published price in 4 months

Cons: as mentioned in other reviews the sleds seem a little flimsy. The power supply air filter issues blah blah blah. For me it wasn't running into any issues installing the water cooler system and not having another monster sized case at home. I would have liked a fan controller and esata port, but I can deal with these issues..would have liked all the ports possible but again, choices had to be made.

The documentation was far less flashy then the box..should have been the other way around

Other Thoughts: Being on a deadline for this build, I didn't really have the luxury of waiting for a case to go on a good sale. While I missed the half stacker..the XM took my EATX MB and provided a good value.

A 2011-v3 build is pricy right now, but I used every coupon code and rebate I could find here. My purchases require a good value, and the Haf XM seems to fit the bill.

The last bit for this system, the cpu arrives tomorrow and I'm ready.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat case

Pros: Lots of room. Nice cable management. Hot swap bays. Light on front fan isn't overbearingly bright, nice and subtle. It is a pretty silent case. I am using the stock fans plus one aftermarket fan and the 2 fans on the cpu cooler.

Cons: Front 5.25 bay covers pop off a little too easy. The slightest pressure on them makes them pop off. This is mainly a problem when you pick up the case to move it and your hand presses against them. They go back on easy, but you have to open the case to put them back in place.

Another minor con is the top internal drive cage isn't really what I consider a cage. It is two plates that hold the hdd mounting brackets in place. The one plate is removable, but the other one, the one closest to the front fan, stays in place. So when you remove the one plate, you have that plate and 4 loose drive brackets. I was expecting a one piece cage that was removable.

The rubber grommets for the cable routing holes can come off easily, so be careful when you are pushing a bunch of cables through one hole. They are easy to put back on though.

You have to unscrew the power supply and move it to remove the inlet air filter on the bottom of the case if you want to clean it.

Other Thoughts: I really do like this case. It has so much more room than the CM Centurion 5 that I was using before. Some power supplies may need cable extension for the 8 pin cpu power cable. Mine was about an inch too short to reach the plug when I routed it behind the motherboard tray.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case, Excellent Airflow

Pros: -Great Airflow

-Great Cable Management

-Sturdy Construction

-Several included fans

-Front panel (intake) has dust screen

Cons: None that I can think of when compared to what it replaced

Other Thoughts: Purchased for a friend who was getting bad airflow and overheating in some $40 Thermaltake case (Cable management was all but nonexistent).

We noticed a 12 Degree Celsius drop while idle/browsing and 8 Degree Celsius under Load immediately, and a few more degrees after replacing his cheap, no-brand Thermal Paste with some Arctic Silver 5.

Great case for a mid range gaming rig.

4 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: This case has a lot going for it, particularly if you catch it on-sale. There's lots of room, cable-management is good (lots of grommets and openings), and the air-flow is great. I also really like the rubberized tray on top. Plenty of black hardware is provided for future fans and add-in cards. Solid construction, mostly metal with plastic components.

Cons: Only a couple legitimate complaints:

The 'hot-swap' bays are too cheap to consider using. They are made of flimsy plastic, and it is difficult to slide them in and out without twisting or potentially breaking them. I can only imagine it would be difficult hunting down replacements, so I'm not going to risk it. This was a legit disappointment, since hot-swapping was part of the reason I bought the case.

They should have included a second 200mm fan for the top. I immediately ordered another when I realized it wasn't included.

Some nitpicky design issues:

The front USB ports should be vertically aligned. Most thumb drives have a plastic cover, which makes it impossible to put two a thumb-drive in each USB 2.0 port (they hit each other).

The thumb-screws for the side panel can be difficult to turn by hand. A little more size on at least those two screws would be nice.

The side panel kind of sticks when you're pulling it off. It feels like I'm stressing the handle as I pull.

Pulling off the front-panel feels sort of risky every time. You have to pull pretty hard and then it just rips off.

I wish it had a 1394 firewire port on the front like the full-tower version.

Other Thoughts: Don't let my cons list deter you from giving this case a try. I am mostly satisfied.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing computer case company

Pros: Great airflow to all parts of my PC, easy managing of cables, large amounts of work space, easy to work with, easy access via the handle on the side. Just an overall great case, any cases I buy in the future will definitely come from Cooler Master.

Cons: Only one that comes to mind. There is too much force bearing down on the side handle that keeps the door on, and it broke a small part of the handle off. It isn't noticeable at all unless you try to open the case, and it is still easier than taking out the screws and opening it.

Other Thoughts: Just buy it. Great price for what it is. Also I don't really recommend the full version of this case. I don't know of any standard mother board larger than an E-ATX, and this case can hold it. So unless you have just an otherworldly amount of hard drives or excess coolers, this should be more than enough.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Mid tower Case

Pros: This thing is HUGE for a mid tower, plenty of room for multiple graphics cards etc. I also love the air flow. With 2 140s on top and 1 200 on the side and the front one obviously, my case feels chilly when I stick my hand inside :D. The removable hd bays and the hidden ssd mounting spot is also very neat. Probably the best case you can find before moving up to the Haf X itself.

Cons: Cant have a side window AND a 200mm fan on the side. Its not a huge deal just feel like they could've merged those two choices to give the case a little bit better look if you have LED's

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case, but not for what I needed it for.

Pros: 1.Easy to set up, with hardly any screws involved.
2. Top and front both snap off for virtually unlimited access to interior.
3. No tools necessary to install HDDs or DVD-ROM drives. HDDs connect by sliding them onto (2) installed SATA connectors inside drive bay.
4. Multiple fans keep interior cool.
5. 2 Front panel USB 3.0 ports.

Cons: I bought this case because it is supposed to be compatible with the Glacer 240L liquid CPU cooler. The cooler fits into the case without a motherboard installed, but once board is installed, none of the mounting holes line up. The motherboard's rear panel connectors stick up too high to mount the cooler (it's not the board's design; pretty much every board has very similar connectors.) It seems like this case was designed with regard for clearances necessary with a motherboard installed.

Other Thoughts: Great quality but very disappointed with the way case is represented as compatible with add-ons that it's not compatible with.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat; Not Just for the Money

Pros: Two 200mm *silent* fans.
One 140mm *silent* fan.
Overall beautiful looks.
Nice, not cheap opening mechanism.
Great steel thumbscrews.
Supports (unofficially) XL-ATX.
Very sturdy (~0.0031in steel side panels.)
Great cable management.
Support for 9 SSDs, one mounted behind motherboard.

Cons: Not much space for a radiator. No push-pull support, even for H100i.
No 360mm radiator support without minor modding.

Other Thoughts: Great for anyone. Borderline Mid Tower, almost a Full.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: This case is pretty dang awesome. With it's plethora of preinstalled fans, extensive venting, flat black paint inside and out, and awesome cable management system, you definitely can't go wrong with this computer case!

Cons: The only con I can think of is the size. I read that it was a mid tower, but man is this thing a behemouth. Well, maybe that's overexagerating it a bit, but it's pretty big. If you plan on using plenty of hardware, you won't have any problems. Otherwise, it will probably just add to the amazing ventilation it already has inside.

Other Thoughts: It's a little heavy, but I always believe that with weight comes quality. I guess I won't be lugging it around in my backpack haha.
