4 out of 5 eggsVery nice mid-level case

Pros: Exterior styling looks great. It has good looks without being too gaudy. Really love the exterior drive dock. Being a computer technician, the dock has come in handy quite a few times for backing up files quickly and easily. Good amount of interior space. Can fit large CPU coolers and long graphics cards with ease. Was able to fit a 120mm fan in my three unused 5.25" bays to provide additional CPU cooling. Can hide most wires behind motherboard tray and drive cages for unrestricted airflow and cleaner looks. I have ten fans in mine (6x intake fans, 3x exhaust fans, and one fan I attached to the drive cage to blow cool air at my graphics card), and it's nice being able to fit so many fans. Tool-less drive locks for the hard drives and optical drives are nice. Case appears to be of good quality construction, and I haven't had any problems with the workmanship or materials. No sharp edges thankfully.

Cons: Not enough room behind motherboard tray for tying down and hiding wires, when I measured it I found there was only about 0.25" of space between the motherboard tray and the lip of the case. I have a lot of wires behind the motherboard tray in mine, and it takes a lot of force to get the side panel back on (I had to lay the case on its other side and put nearly all of my weight on the panel while sliding the panel to get it to close, and this is with every wire tied down the best I could). This is with a modular power supply, so I can't imagine how one would do this with a non-modular one. This is definitely not an easy task, and rather annoying. Can't fit a 240mm radiator and 2x fans inside the case, I had to mount my fans on the outside of the case under the top plastic panel to pull air through the radiator and exhaust it out of the case. Didn't come with an adapter to attache the USB 3.0 cable to a USB 2.0 port, which was a problem since my board didn't have an onboard USB 3.0 port, I bought an adapter to make it work though.

Other Thoughts: Overall it's a very nice case, but I do have a few nitpicks about some areas that could be improved. I don't regret buying it though.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Mid-tower

Pros: Sleek design, easy to use, blue lights, plenty of space, easy cable routing, large fans, quiet, water cooling support.

The large fan at the top pulls a massive amount of air and is super quiet. If you don't get this case, get one with large fan(s). Fits nicely on my desk. The blue LED fan on the front can be deluminated. The X-Dock on the top is nice for hot-swapping HDDs. HDD cages on the inside are very nice and easy to remove. I saved quite a few bucks by not getting a modular PSU, which didn't matter because the case has plenty of space to stow unsightly or unused wires. This case also has an extra vertical expansion slot, which i use for extra USB 3.0 ports. Did i mention it looks awesome!

Cons: The drive bay covers are not the easiest to remove, but how often do you really do that. The front side is a dust magnet, so you may find yourself cleaning the dust from in front of the fan, but hey, the dust isn't in your PC.

Other Thoughts: I have the 2.0 version of the case and i absolutely love it. Hoping to put some more fans in it and light it up blue. I have modded the side panel to hold my screen, which saves space and looks really cool up on my desk instead of on the floor beside it. the inside stays cool and the button to turn on/off the fan light is nice to have. Would recommend this case to anyone looking for a mid-tower.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent cabinet .............

Pros: Case looks really nice. The fans are pretty quiet. The feet on the bottom are really thick rubber. This was good since this tower was my muti-media PC in a room with hardwood floors so subs will not move tower all over the room.

Cons: The only con would be the grommets, they are really thin and cheap. If one comes loose they a difficult to put back on. The rear ones are the ones that come out the most. Need to be careful when moving tower that you do not touch them.

Other Thoughts: I have not not tried the top sata connector yet, really have little need for it but could be useful if you need to move data between hard drives. Also the hard drive trays are decent quality compared to other cases.

5 out of 5 eggsTime for a second one

Pros: Airflow is great for a case in this price range.
Allows for any config you need.
Sturdy well made and painted.
x-dock comes in handy. Don't realize how much you will use it until you start.
top connectors well placed for an under desk machine.
Led button on top to turn off light.
Tooless bays work well.
Fits large cpu coolers and long gpus.
good cable management.
good price for what you get.
No silly side window.

Cons: While the tooless drive bays work well the rubber plugs you insert into the drive to hold them in place can be slightly annoying. (I mean slightly, really a non issue but worth stating)
I would have liked a little more space behind the motherboard tray. It does hide away everything it needs to, but another 1/8" would make it just that much better. The side panel has to be guided in while providing pressure from the side to squeeze my fat psu wires in. Like I say it does exactly what it needs to do.
The dust filters are not easily removed. They are held in place by tabs that are a part of the steel mesh (front and top) which is just bent down to hold the screens (and also the mesh) in place. I worry that if you bent them out they may break. So I just remove the whole panel and clean them with a vac while still attached.

Other Thoughts: I am writing this about my usb 2.0 version from 2011. I am planning on getting another because I enjoyed my experience with the older version, and now it is even cheaper.
Some may say the plastic front and top parts are a con, but I don't think its a problem. They look balanced thanks to the steel mesh. They are both easily removed simply by pulling the front off and 3 tabs on each side of the top (no tools) for cleaning. It allows for easy access to clean the front and top fans, as well as the dust filters (basically just screen material)
Unless pcs become drastically different I will use this case exclusively for all my builds.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Held all my computer parts.

Cons: Not even sure where the begin with this review.

Not only did the motherboard not line up with the holes but the front panel jacks refused to work. First time I hooked in my headphones to the front panel jacks I could not get my $200 headphones to release out of the port. Not only that it didn't even work no sound. No matter how much I pulled the jack refuses to release the headset cord. Unsure if the jack would break off the tip of my headset I ended up breaking the port on the front to release the headset without breaking the tip. Happy that I was able to break the jack open and get the headphones out without messing them up. I put a lot of force on the cord and it would not come out normally.

I ended up selling it down the road to someone that just needed a case until they had money to buy a nice one. I ended up buying the corsair 500r after I sold the case and still using it to this day no issues what so ever.

Other Thoughts: Maybe I got a bad one but I will not be buying another cooler master case. Didn't wanna deal with the company so I just sold locally. Corsair all the way.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Mr. P,

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you had with our case. We can still assist (at the very least your friend). Please contact us so we can get a replacement panel out to you free of charge to rectify the situation. If you have any other questions, please let us know.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome case

Pros: I got these cases for only one reason: fitment of a PNY GTX 770 4Gb card. I was reading all around about how people were saying, "Make sure that you get the case that fits your card." I went to Cooler Master's website to check on the internal cavity specs, and this case was the choice. The airflow characteristics and design were the added bonus. The 120MM case fans that came with the case are quiet.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Case Ever!!

4 out of 5 eggsHuge improvement over last Coolermaster Case

Pros: Tons of interior space. Lots of tie offs on back for cable mgmt. Like the rubber grommets on the access holes. All fans have filters to keep dust out. Comes with a mthrbrd standoff bit for installing them, best idea ever, no more using pliers to tighten them! Comes with 3 fans, can either use ps connector, or remove it and just use 3/3pin fan headers on board. Can turn off the blue led for those of us who have outgrown the gimmick stuff.. :) Comes with a drive bay setup for 2.5 inch SSD drive, and To much more to list!

Cons: Hard drive cages, while its a neat solution. I can see that they may weaken, especially if you change drives out often, as you have to bend them to install the drives. On the plus side, once installed, they are secure.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case to replace my 6 year old Gladiator Case I bought off NewEgg of couse. My new motherboard has the sata connectors facing towards the front of the case. My old case just didn't have the room to plug in the sata connectors along with having an AMD 7970 Card and the 24 Pin PS cable, it was just too much for it! I had to stuff the 24 pin cable underneath the Card, and I didn't feel comfortable, so hence the new Purchase. Overall very happy with the install, would buy again.
