4 out of 5 eggsHuge improvement over last Coolermaster Case

Pros: Tons of interior space. Lots of tie offs on back for cable mgmt. Like the rubber grommets on the access holes. All fans have filters to keep dust out. Comes with a mthrbrd standoff bit for installing them, best idea ever, no more using pliers to tighten them! Comes with 3 fans, can either use ps connector, or remove it and just use 3/3pin fan headers on board. Can turn off the blue led for those of us who have outgrown the gimmick stuff.. :) Comes with a drive bay setup for 2.5 inch SSD drive, and To much more to list!

Cons: Hard drive cages, while its a neat solution. I can see that they may weaken, especially if you change drives out often, as you have to bend them to install the drives. On the plus side, once installed, they are secure.

Other Thoughts: I bought this case to replace my 6 year old Gladiator Case I bought off NewEgg of couse. My new motherboard has the sata connectors facing towards the front of the case. My old case just didn't have the room to plug in the sata connectors along with having an AMD 7970 Card and the 24 Pin PS cable, it was just too much for it! I had to stuff the 24 pin cable underneath the Card, and I didn't feel comfortable, so hence the new Purchase. Overall very happy with the install, would buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsA great case to work with at a great price!

Pros: Have been buying this case for years, very easy to work with, fairly good cable routing holes, decent drive bay design, not too heavy and overall sturdy and convenient construction.

Cons: Hard Drive mounts contain poorly designed pins, the rubber surrounds encasing the metal pins that hold HDD's in place are horrible to use and sometimes make it very difficult and frustrating to install a new hard drive quickly.

5 out of 5 eggsNice case

Pros: The room make it quick & easy to assemble my build with good cable management. It feels solid.

Cons: I'd need to nit-pick.

Other Thoughts: I chose this case because it matched my needs at a reasonable price. My 2 previous builds also used Cooler Master cases.

5 out of 5 eggsTerrific Value

Pros: - Lots of space for extra hard drives
- Can install up to 8 fans
- Room for radiators if needed
- Very airy
- Awesome for the price!

This case does an awesome job of allowing you to install a motherboard either full size or atx size. It has enough space for any GPU you throw into your PCI-E slot, as well as room for extra hard drives.

I have 5 hard drives in the system, a GTX 680, a Z68 chipset motherboard from ASUS, and a Noctua DH14 cooler. My PSU is a Corsair RM 750 modular power supply. I love the rugged steel panels and sturdy construction. This is not an el cheapo case.

You have a front fan cooling your hard drives, which is great for keeping them all nice and cool at room temperature (30 C)
Also, there is room for an intake fan beside the PSU on the bottom, keeping that bottom area cool. On the top, there is room for a 240 mm radiator if you water cool. If you don't, it's still nice to have output fans on the top making sure the hot air that rises gets out of the case quickly.

Used together with a Noctua DH14, this case allows my CPU to never exceed 70 degrees C under FULL load from Prime 95 testing at 4.5 Ghz (i5 2500k).

Cons: - Hard drive cage seems to be NOT removable
- mesh filters collect dust and need to be vacuumed all the time
- VERY tight for IO shield installation, I couldn't install an IO shield on my motherboard for this reason.
- comes with three case fans that aren't top notch quality
- plastic ridges don't give off refined look on the front or top

There are very few negatives regarding this case, but I will only say that this is not aimed at the crowd that can spend several thousand dollars on a custom PC. This is aimed at the realist buyer that loves value and quality in a relatively small case. That said, you can still have triple SLI setups even in this thing, so in theory you COULD have a real nice luxurious setup if you wanted.

For me, I have a single GPU, a 680 and it is more than enough for my not so hardcore gaming needs.

Another con is that the case really doesn't look too elegant from the outside, sure the blue LED"s are nice and all, but the plasticky bottom parts that hold the case above the ground give off a very utilitarian vibe. The case does look very utilitarian from the outside in general but I feel as though this is a strength of the case and not a weakness.

Other Thoughts: When I was building my PC, it took a little bit of effort to make sure the SATA cables didn't interfere with the graphics card, since mine was so long.

The case is a tremendous value for the price, offering great airflow and custom building potential.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case for Great price.

Pros: This case has great airflow for the price. It comes with 3 fans that allow for a higher amount of airflow. The case is very easy to install everything. The mounting brackets are easy to use. The external mounting area for a Hard drive is a very nice bonus to this case.

Cons: I really have no cons on this case. It is a great case.

Other Thoughts: If you are a West coast shopper. Take into consideration that Newegg is now working with OnTrac shipping. For most of the states besides California OnTrac sub-contracts there shipping to other smaller companies. In my case I had someone come up to my door with a Magnetic OnTrac sticker on his Ford Ranger pick-up and just dropped my boxes on the front porch with out even knocking. The boxes looked like they had been dropped, thrown, kicked and everything in between.

Be Warned.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I love the design, it's not tacky but still has a beautiful blue light in the front.
I like the buttons and the USB ports on the top, the best position to reach from the chair.
I love the internal disposition, the screwless design to mount disks and other components

Cons: Price could be lower

Other Thoughts: Great buy

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case!

Pros: I've build many computers using the CM-690 in the past years with great pleasure. This case is easy to work with, makes cable management an easy process and offers a lot of options to setup your ideal cooling solution. I love the hard drive dock, 4 usb 2&3 ports on the top section, black painted roomy interior. Special mention for the sturdy rubber foots keeping the case very stable and the fact that there is dust protection on almost every fan emplacement.

Cons: No dust filters on side panel

Other Thoughts: Great value, looks way better in real than on the pictures show here. This case is elegant, roomy and easy to work with.

5 out of 5 eggsBest mid tower case

Pros: No other case has as many features for the price. The hot swap SATA connector has been great for wiping drives that have been removed from other PC's, removable 3.5" drive bays are great for cooling, and the ton of extra screws and the tool for tightening down the stand offs (a little cap that goes over the top with a phillips bit on top) is one of those things that you see and say "Why didn't I think of that before?!?!" Coming from the CM-690, this is a great evolution of what I felt was one of the best mid-level, mid-tower cases on the market.

Cons: As cool as it looks, the black interior is a real pain to build in. Thankfully I won't be doing much in the way of internals updates in a while, but I had to use a flashlight many times to see what I was doing even in a well lit room. The side panels aren't as thick as the previous 690, and it shows the first time you open the doors.

Other Thoughts: Another fine case from Cooler Maser. Not quite tall enough to put a 280mm rad in push/pull on the top, but I was able to install it in the bottom with a 650HX PSU (no extra space, though). Still room for a 240 in either push or pull on top, and a 140mm on the back if needed. Lots of space to work with.

4 out of 5 eggsLove That SATA Dock

Pros: I do not know of any other case maker that provides a SATA dock on top of the case and has it angled back at about a 20 degree angle above the horizontal. It is because of this redeeming feature that I knock off only one egg for the Cons that follow below in this review.

Cons: CM has placed an air filter between the exhaust fan and the outer mesh on the top of the case. This filter should not be there, and I had to remove it by popping off the top of the case and loosening the mesh to get at the filter.
The cable that connects between the motherboard and the front-panel headphone & microphone did not work properly with my Asrock Z68 motherboard. It caused the system to erroneously detect jack-plugins and to cut off audio output to the rear-panel audio jack during those errors.
I wish they would bring back the front-panel ESATA port that they had on an earlier version of this case.

Other Thoughts: Despite the above-mentioned Cons, I recommend this case to anyone wants a SATA dock on the top of their case.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost Great

Pros: Has almost every feature you could want.
*Hot swap dock
*USB 3.0
*Plenty of cooling options
*Good Quality
*Looks clean

Cons: *The mesh filter for the PSU is cheap
*There should be a decent window on side panel instead of extra fan mounts. You already have the option for a 240 RAD on the top. It lost an egg for this because it was the missing touch.

Other Thoughts: Cooler Master almost knocked this one out of the park. It's not perfect for me, but it is a wonderful case for it's price point.
