COOLER MASTER CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced SGC-2100-KWN3 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: huge space, cable management, everything about this case is awesome. you have room to add fans if you want and it has a handle. you dont think you would need one until you have one. works great.

Pros: -Rubberized handle makes this case portable (if you can handle around 30 pounds)
-Drive installation is a breeze …tools not needed
-Supports a 240mm radiator on the top.
-The top cover could be removed, which helps during build up
-Fans run very quiet and do move air.
-Front ports are covered by sliding door.
-Two 2.5” adapters and each one can hold two 2.5” drives
-Top hard drive cage panel could be removed to allow extra-long graphics cards.
-Plenty of holes and space to re-route all your cables.
-I like the fact that LED lights could be turn off.

Cons: -Reset button is too big and could be pressed by mistake.
-Case fans could have been of better quality.
-There is space for larger 140mm fans but only 120mm fans supported.
-For the price you could get a better performing case. I got it a discounted price.
-Rear fan makes a weird noise at mid speed. It does not happen at low or full speeds.
-If you have more than one graphics card you might need another case to cope with the extra heat.

Other Thoughts: Even though I play games, I am not a fan of a look at me….you can see me from a mile away…bright color …alien shaped cases.
I prefer the clean lines, sleek design of the Scout II and other similar cases.
Some of the flaws of the Storm Scout were address, like the top side panel fan which interfere with a tall heat sink or even a water cooler in the rear.
Even though this a very good case, it could have been even better with better quality fans or 140mm fans.
Cooling is very good even when running overclocked components (i5-2500K @ 4.41MHz and Radeon HD 7870 XT @ 1200MHz). At 100% system load the temperature in the case was around 36◦ C (97◦ F), CPU 42◦ c (107◦F) and graphics 56◦C (132◦F) with all fans below 900 rpm. Adding two more intake fans to the case side panel lowered temperatures by 4◦C. The CPU is water cooled (Kuhler 920 on rear) and the rear fan was move to the top of the case as exhaust.
I am using the NZXT Sentry Mesh Fan Controller to keep the noise down and it matches the case fascia very well.

Pros: Sexy looking case. Excellent cable routing and love the drive bays. Fits everything beautifully with lots of extra space.

Other Thoughts: wish it had room for a H100i with push/pull configuration without having to modify.

Pros: Handle, handle, oh, and did I say handle?

Cons: The rubber hole for cable managing fall off fairly easy, but that's the only negative thing that I could think about other than it only support 120mm fans. I improvised with a 80mm and a paperclip on the top of the case under the "filter".

Pros: Good Cable Management. Very nice to look at. Everything installs very easy.

Cons: No front fans removable filter.

Other Thoughts: Paired this with a Corsair H60 which fit nicely in the rear fan slot. room for pull fan if I want one. Never had a case where everything looks so clean inside before. I really like being able to hide all the cables.

Pros: Very good cable management, fan mounting options, easy HDD mounting.

Cons: Unclear on what replacement fans Cooler Master makes if you want to change to a different color LED and still use the built in LED on/off switch. In fact I scoured CM's web site and they don't make these fans for direct sales. Oh well, I removed them anyway and installed my own Corsair fans.

Other Thoughts: Great case with excellent cable management and excellent cooling capabilities at a great price. There seems to be some confusion, based on the previous reviews, as to which version of this case people are getting. This is listed as the CM Storm Scout II Advanced. And that's exactly what I received.

It comes with 2 front fans with red LED's, 1 rear plain black fan and 2 bottom mounted filters.

Pros: Rugged, well built case with lots of space for hiding those pesky wires! Room for LOTS of drives and fans!

Cons: Does NOT work with the COOLER MASTER Seidon 120M RL-S12M-24PK-R1 Water Cooler!

The water cooler is a sealed unit so the hoses can NOT be routed out the back of the case and the radiator caps are just a bit too big for it to fit properly inside the case because bottom cap runs into the back expansion plane.

A simple design fix would be to make the hose ports on the back of the case be an oblong instead of a pair of round holes.

Other Thoughts: Would be nice if the case included a pair of fans for the windowed side panel. Would be even nicer if said fans had the LED on-off capabilities of the two mounted in the front bezel.

I complain about the Seidon not working with the case, but this is more the fault of the cooler design than any problem with the chassis. If you're looking for a really well built mid-tower case, look no further!

Pros: The case provides a button that allows you to turn off the LED of fans connected directly to the motherboard, great feature for the HDD fans that come "stock" with red LEDs. The build quality of the sides is amazing, the doors are very thick and durable, the front is also very durable as well as the carrying handle that can support up to 70 pounds of equipment inside the case. The drive bay converter that's included is also very easy to use.

Cons: The case lacks fans, only 2 in the HDD area and one in the back, there is another slot for a second filter in the underside that isn't included as well. It's also almost impossible to install a 3.5 drive into the very most bottom bay as there is no room to insert a SATA cable without it sticking out into the side door, making it impossible to close. If you're going to plan to use all of the bays, I feel pity for you, there may be some work around to use the bottom slot more easily but it seems to be very difficult. The cover for the front ports is a bit cheap and annoying to pull up and down.

Pros: Very good airflow, the tool less design makes putting your components in very fast. Also the layout of the fan placements aids in cooling crossfire MSI cards.

Cons: Not many with the increased airflow I find I have to clean the filters I installed alot more.
