3 out of 5 eggsNice case but has some issues.

Pros: Large case and plenty of room for fans. Takes all 120mm and comes with three that are great and silent. The front mesh has built in dust filters. Plenty of room for wire storage so barely any wires can be seen. Rugged steel construction and nice white paint.

Cons: My first case was shipped damaged. The paint was also flaky on the top corners. Newegg.com was awesome and replaced it quickly so I had it for my build. Doesn't have spot for card reader installation unless I want a full size one that fits a CD Rom space. Had a horrible time installing fan filters. I had to "Rig" them in. The fans are too large for any kind of filter. I spent over a hour trying to get 3 filters on this thing and I know what I am doing. Very poor directions. If you are a first time builder make sure you search online for help.

Other Thoughts: I only build computers around once every 5 years. I spent over 2 weeks at a average of 3-6 hours per day researching and examining different websites and comments before I buy products. I will upgrade computers more often then 5 years but I do a complete build every 5 years. I would not buy this case again. I will deal with it because I got a very good deal on the case or I would return it. For a first time builder I would skip this case and get one around 59.99 or that price range. The "extra" features really aren't anything worth spending money on.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Mid Size Lan Party Case?

Pros: Tons of room. Cable Management is a dream come true. Super amazingly quiet (with 9 fans, b/c I can). Love the new HDD bay removal clips! Great idea putting a vent in base to allow you to flip PSU. Rubber standoffs inside case under PSU raises it enough to spare your PSU if you forget it vents through the base and put it on carpet.

Cons: The Screws must be put in tight so they don't get lost in shipping, but my goodness they are tight! The screws are not as good a quality steel as some I've seen, but now I'm just nit picking b/c they work just fine. Didn't come with 9 fans (but who wants stock led colors).

Other Thoughts: May be the best case I've owned, many improvements in layout since the Antec 900 days which where great at the time. To people who claim the fans rattle, "have you installed more than the stock 3? 120mm fans are dead silent and still move tons of air when you run them at slow speeds.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: Cable Management Dream Come True! The Z77 Asus Mobo and this case are like a match made in heaven. HDD bays swap easy. So few cables I actually could add the bottom fan, just to say I did it. Handle makes it easier to tote to Lan Parties! Fans are dead silent on low, haven't ever heard them higher than that having 8 120mm running. Easily the best case I've owned.

Cons: Ok, so this is only my 3rd case so I'm mostly comparing this to my old Antec 900, but Antec did have nicer screws, and easier to install fans (it had clips).

Other Thoughts: Silverstone FF123B 120mm Ultra Fine Fan Filter with Magnet (Black) for side fans, looks like it is part of the case. I think I could fit a few foot long sandwich in there, maybe use the CPU as a heater... I think I'm stealing that from Portal.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: - It looks awesome, it looks so awesome it makes you think about, how to build the rest of the room around it in the same color scheme
- Heavy, when loaded with components, it ain't goin' anywhere, no worries about accidental tipping it over, or vibration transfer to your desk
- Rubber feet
- LED swith
- Lots of airflow
- Everything easy to remove, and easy to put back. Actually I had to use Screwdriver to get the thumbscrews.

Cons: - I have to mention what everybody mentioned before me. The White LED's and the orange HDD light go straight through the white plastic.
- It has a 120x120mm mount on the drive cage, but unfortunately with my HD7850 there is not enough room for it. So .. one fan down :(

Other Thoughts: - Separated screws by type would come handy
- Just checked Joan's review again, and it seems like her LED's aren't bleeding through the plastic.
- A fan controler would be great (since there is 9 - yes nine mounting points)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat, solid, good looking case

Pros: Great, solid, good looking case. This is the best case I have ever owned, Bar none. The metal is more solid that any case I have seen. I build two a year for fun. I usually dont spend this much money but it had everything I wanted. The cable layout behind the MB is the best, hardly any wires show up. The white paint is very high quality, glossy, and feels rich.

Cons: A little expensive - over $100

Other Thoughts: I would buy it again and again.

5 out of 5 eggsWhite is the new Black

Pros: Great design, cable management, and options in this awesome case. everything was installed smoothly.

Cons: Nothing at this time.

Other Thoughts: Wish the leg stand off's were taller so the PSU could breathe a littler better. Newegg, stop with the 19.99 for shipping when the black model has free shipping.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid case, could use minor design tweaks

Pros: -Sturdy construction
-Good quality paint job
-Carrying handle
-Excellent cable management options
-Removable dust filters for PSU and optional bottom fan
-Easy to accommodate radiators for water cooling/closed loop coolers
-Fan mounts on side panel for GPU cooling
-Removable drive cage while still having room for 3 3.5" drives.

Cons: -Front panel has color bleeding with front LEDs on
-Window scratches easily
-Feet/casters very short (don't put this on carpet!)

Other Thoughts: I bought this case for a themed build, this is my 3rd Cooler Master case, and despite the cons listed above is the best one yet. The lines and overall style of the case is great, and despite what the review below said, the front bezel comes off quite easily without pliers, and the front fans are easy to remove and replace. I moved the white LED fans inside the case and put non-LED fans in their place, but the HDD light still bleeds slightly through the front. If any reps from Cooler Master are reading, perhaps a 2nd coat of paint on the interior of the case would be great for a "Version 2.0" That said, I plan to paint the exterior so the light bleed isn't a deal breaker. This case looks great with a ASUS Sabertooth z77 motherboard.

4 out of 5 eggsWicked

Pros: Lots of space. The color is great. Honeycomb mesh looks awesome. It's sturdy. I like the top handle.

Cons: The rear exhaust fan is atrocious. Fired up the build and the thing just clickety clacked to no end. Opened up the case and checked cable routing to make sure nothing was touching the blades. All clear. Constant obnoxious clickety clack remained. I finally had to unplug it.

5.25" front bay toolless locks don't stay locked.

Front fan LED's bleed through the plastic on the front bezel, as does the red power indicator light.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat case, awful fans

Pros: This case looks amazing and is a nice upgrade from my original CM Storm Scout. White is the new black!
Removable hard drive area for bigger video cards.
Rubber grommets in cut outs makes running wires behind the mobo easy and safe.
Included SSD docks are a nice addition.
Black interior looks sexy!
Very sturdy/well built and not too heavy.

Cons: The fans have a very loud buzz, which is amplified by them touching the case housing.
You pretty much need to buy new case fans if you plan on sitting in the same room.

Other Thoughts: To the reviewer talking about light bleed; there is a switch on the top of the case to turn off the LEDs.
To the reviewer saying that the front bezel is hard to remove and/or requires the side panels to be off; Um, no. It's easy as cake, just grab it by the bottom and pull.
Would be a 5 star review if the fans weren't so awful. I've contacted CM support to see if they'll send me replacements ... we'll see.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

We are sorry to hear about the noise issue regarding your Scout II. The pre-installed fans should not produce uncomfortable noise or vibrations during operation. We will be happy to fix this problem if you will please contact us through our Live Chat or Support Page.

Respectfully,

CMUSA Support

4 out of 5 eggsGorgeous case - irritating design elements

Pros: - It's roomy
- Color combination is striking (love the white)
- Sturdy handle for portability.
- Honeycomb mesh is good quality and attractive
- LED switch for front fans
- Removable drive cage frame
- Removable dust filters
- Super sturdy

Cons: - Front bezel is an absolute pain to remove - requires pliers and removal of both side panels
- LED switch for front fans - front fan replacement or exchange requires minor surgery
- Don't dare lose a motherboard stand-off - there are no extras provided
- Would have been nice if the big bag-o-screws were separated into smaller baggies
- The frame on my top PCI slot is slightly bent :(

Other Thoughts: Overall a very nice case. I'd be willing to pay a little extra for some additional attention to detail on CM's part.
