5 out of 5 eggsGood Case Great Value

Pros: Price and Flexibility for a medium size ATX Case. Got this black Friday deal sub $50 and my entire rig build fit inside this moderate case with room to spare. Should fit mini-ITX, mini-ATX, or full size ATX motherboards with no issues. It has all the pre-drilled standoff holes, plenty of drive bays, and the required space and holes for a 240 or 280 enclosed water cooling radiator system. It does what it's advertised to do: facilitate a medium priced/medium sized computer build.

Cons: The standard cooler master 140mm & 120mm case fans provide ample cooling to the case but do come with the 20db to 30db noise level typical of your average run-of-the-mill manufacturer's case fan. These aren't Noctuas, but this also isn't a high priced case. It doesn't have all the fancy cable management of a larger case. If you absolutely need that check out CM's higher end cases: HAF, HAF Stacker.

Other Thoughts: This is an excellent case for someone new to computer builds/hobbyist. It fits most motherboard sizes and can handle all but the largest CPU/APU heat sink sizes. Fit a Corsair H100 radiator no problem. Plenty of fan options. If you're looking to cut corners and save on a case start with this one, put $50 to $75 towards other parts and customize your build to suit your needs. If you don't abuse it during unpacking or the build, all the parts, covers, holes should work just fine. For new builders: take your time, do some research. Checkout Newegg's online tutorials, Linus Tech Tips, or any other helpful technical support and find the answers before you experience a roadblock. Measure, and pre-size all the parts before full installation. And as many others suggest: pre-build MB/CPU/RAM and water cooling outside case prior to final install. Especially with this case, it's not a 900D or 945 HAF Stacker!

1 out of 5 eggsIf you can afford better, go with another brand

Pros: Clean case with most of the usual stuff that comes with a gaming comp like a see thru window, easy tool less installation of hard drives and optical drives. Plus in my opinion the coolest part of this case is how you can have one 140mm case fan pulling air in the front and four 120mm case fans (that came with dust filters) spaced out in other places to set up maximum cooling. With the 120mm fan on my power supply and the two 120mm fans on my cpu and one 120mm cooling fan placed on the glass window. So I have eight 120mm fans and one 140mm fan altogether totaling NINE 120mm+ COOLING FANS that are all lit with RED LED Lights and keep my CPU, HDD, RAM, and power supply all under 100" F when stressing out everything to 100% max and every single fan that is set as intake as a double layered aftermarket dust filter to keep all my components clean. Plus it looks pretty sweet when on because everything is lit brightly inside the case with red led light and since I repainted all the heat spreaders off my motherboard and all the plastic casing to both my video cards with a crazy UV red paint that makes them light up like they are neon makes it look amazing for not spending more than an extra $50 altogether on fans and paint.

Cons: The USB 3.0 hub in the front was broke after a week and both cooler master fans that came with the case died within a month. Plus originally I never got any of the motherboard screws that it was supposed to come with so I really lost out on all the accessories / hardware that came with the case so this I would tell to anyone looking to buy this case, be ready to replace the fans and make sure you have your own screws etc. So I get on live chat after the fans and USB 3.0 port / board / setup went dead with two different cooler master people who both tell me they are making sure that I will be getting new fans, a new USB 3.0 kit for the front of the case and the screws I didn't get. Suddenly I get an email from someone I've never spoken to telling me that all I'm getting is a new USB 3.0 kit. Well all that came was a USB 2.0 kit!! Which is junk to me because all my external stuff that's USB is USB 3.0 so I don't have to wait hours like back in 1999. So besides the customer service jerking me around on this and on a T3 CPU cooler I would rate the customer service not very good so far as to what I've experienced and I was surprised at how I got a case that was missing hardware and contained hardware that died so fast. I mean the fans could have lasted at least three months at least and to send me a lower grade USB 2.0 kit just made me lose it and call it a day on Cooler Master stuff.

Other Thoughts: Price was cheap and If you don't have much money it's a good case to start a build with. Just be prepared to have to put a few bucks into it to make it cool before it's done in case your missing hardware or get some bad hardware like I did.

5 out of 5 eggsI own a similar model, blue lights.

Pros: I have the blue light version of this case. Has plenty of room for high end GPU's and mobo's. Lighting is nice, especially with added fans of the same color. Coolung is excellent as my system has never gone above 80f while running battlefield 4. Worth this price, definitely.

Cons: The size may be a bit much for those with a lack of space. Alse requires some periodic dusting. Otherwise, perfect.

5 out of 5 eggsNice case for the money.

Pros: Inexpensive, has room for tons of fans, great airflow, attractive yet not gaudy, front usb3.0, side window.

Cons: None at this price point, really. At about $30AR shipped you can't go wrong.

Other Thoughts: I don't know what people are expecting for this price point, but I have used a ton of these cases as well as the elite 430 and 431. They are essentially the same, but this has usb3.0 front and side fan capability. Sure it only comes with one front fan, but that is shown and obvious in the listing. The metal is sturdy enough, but easy to work with if you need to clearance anything.

For me this has everything, and you can see your components without having a Transformer-looking case in your house. If you want that, then go for it, but this fits the bill nicely for everyone generally speaking.

If anyone bends the chassis working with it, then they are man-handling it. It is .5mm steel, which isn't super-thick, but substantial enough for everyday use. I don't know why it wouldn't be for gamers, it has tons of airflow and cools anything when populated with fans.

Of course you can spend more money, but I would rather have a better cpu or gpu than a crazy case.

3 out of 5 eggsNot an optimal case for gamers, but still works.

Pros: -Neat Red LED chassis fan in front of HDD bay
-Fairly large side panel window, view of everything

Cons: -Only 1 chassis fan included
-Expansion bay and external drive bay steel covers are irreplaceable, so be 100% sure which ones you want to take off
-Very few of the locks for the Drive bays are included

Other Thoughts: If you want a case to just put your parts in, get this. It's cheap, and for the price, it comes with a decent amount of features (I got it for $50). If you'd rather have a flashy case with amazing and spectacular features, get a different case.
I would not recommend this case as a case for gamers, or everyday use.

1 out of 5 eggsAudio issues with the front panel

Pros: USB 3.0
Fits my mobo well (Asus p8z77 V LK)

Cons: About half the time the sound is very quiet, right now if I turn and fiddle with the plug it comes through after a while. Tried with multiple headsets/earphones. I'm expecting it to break completely in the next few days.

Almost not worth RMA unfortunately, I would have rather just not purchased it.

Also the short front panel cords make it hard to manage cables properly

Other Thoughts: I was able to get the case for 30 after rebates so it wasn't too bad.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. Please contact us so we can ship a replacement part to you under warranty. You don't need to ship anything back to us. You can contact us via the Live chat link below.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: This nice case perfectly holds all of the parts for my computer, and looks good doing it.

The led fan is a nice touch, and is quiet.

The black metal and plastic looks very nice.

The little clear window lets me show off my computer parts.

Easy latches and screws.

Cons: The led fan power connector was poorly made, and I had to push the 4 pins back in to place several times.

Only one usb 3.0 slot on the front of the case.

Other Thoughts: This product is great for the price, and will be sure to last me many years.

2 out of 5 eggsFar better towers for slightly more price

Pros: Cheap. LEDs are not super bright, which is good for me. Plenty of places to mount fans. Front panel ports are decent (1 USB 3.0, 1 USB 2.0, microphone jack, headphone jack).

Cons: Where to start?

This case is awful, even for the low price. There are far better cases that are worth the extra $20.

The case is constructed of steel, true, but it's very, very thin. Easily bent.
The expansion ports are covered to begin with, but the metal isn't completely cut. It is still slightly attached and you have to cut it out of there yourself. This probably will bend the case because it is so flimsy. The front 5.25" bays also have this flimsy metal housing.
The braces for the DVD drive and HDDs are quite tight. It feels like you're scratching the DVD drive and HDDs when inserting them. There are 6 pieces of plastic that are tool-less mounts for the 3.5" bays and HDD bays, but that's for either side of the case, so really you only have 3 plastic mounts.
It comes with plenty of screws, but they're not separated, and there was also a disproportionate amount than what is listed in the owner's manual.

All in all, I really dislike this case. I have built other machines with Cooler Master cases and I have loved it. And I still really like the Cooler Master brand. But stay away from this case. The HAF 912 case is much superior and has a $20 higher price point, if that.

Other Thoughts: This build was for my aunt who doesn't need a power house. She is actually the one that picked this out because she liked how the front was set up. As long as she likes it I'm happy, but if this were a case for my personal computer, I'd chuck it in the garbage and order a better one from Cooler Master.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear valued customer,
I'm very sorry for the issues you encountered. Please feel free to contact us via Live Chat or email if you need any support concerning your Elite 430 case.

Regards,
CMUSA Support
