Cosmos SE is the successor to Cooler Master's flagship Cosmos II ultra-tower computer case. It delivers the classic racecar look and feel of its predecessor in a smaller, mid tower package. Rails forged of aluminum provide sturdy handles for transporting your system. Although smaller compared to Cosmos II, SE still exhibits high-end features such as expansive support for all-in-one water cooling systems and hard drive storage. With the ability to install up to eight cooling fans or three radiators at once, Cosmos SE is capable of housing extremely powerful cooling components.

Iconic, Racecar-Inspired Design

Superior Water Cooling Support

Cosmos SE continues a lineage of classic design inspired by the supercars of today. Curved aluminum handles, sleek lines, and stylish blue LED accents provide a truly premium aesthetic.

Cosmos SE is capable of supporting up to three radiators at once, including a 120mm in the rear, 240/280mm on top, and a 360mm at the front. Cosmos SE allows you to pack massive cooling power in a perfectly sized enclosure.

Plentiful Storage Space for HDDs/SSDs

Large Cable Management Space

Uniquely designed combo trays can hold two SSDs each, providing support for up to 16 SSDs or eight HDDs in the hard drive cages. Two additional SSD mounting points are located on the backside of the main drive cage, allowing for a total of 18 SSDs.

A nice, clean setup is important for any high-end build. With Cosmos SE, you've got ample space to neatly store any loose cables with approximately 1.3-inch (34mm) of cable management space.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: Great look(only reason I gave it two eggs) , have a cosmos 2 for my rig and thought this looked like the perfect fit for my latest build.

Cons: Michael H review for 5/15 sums it up perfectly , for this to be a flagship product from Cooler master I am really , really disappointed , should not be called a full . If your trying to fit a H100i into this thing with a Asus extreme board forget about it. Can't do without major modification 's and I mean major , losing one drive in bay area, dissembling half the drive bay area to do a front mount with the H110i I decided to take all components back out for another case, this one will sit for a smaller build , really bad design.

Manufacturer Response:

Good Afternoon Valued Customer,

I apologize your Cosmos SE is not working correctly for you as you have many configurations that you can build with this case including a front mounted radiator. Yes you will have to remove the front Drive bay cages in order to accommodate a front radiator as we published an official image with exactly this setup through our EU site and image linked below.

The COSMOS SE can only accommodate up to an ATX Form Factor to which an Asus Maximus Extreme Motherboard is an Extended ATX Form Factor with specifications of 12.0 inches x 10.7 inches (30.5 cm x 27.2 cm) compare to ATX specifications 12.0 inches × 9.6 inches (305 × 244 mm).

So yes, you will have to modify the case to fit this particular board, at this point I would suggest our COSMOS II.

If you have further questions or unsure how to setup a custom build such as this please contact us through Live Chat, Support Ticket, or Phone.

3 out of 5 eggsSo Much Potential!!!

Pros: Great Quality, Looks, and Price. Dust filters work good.

Cons: Needs to be 1-inch larger in every direction. Horrible Manual.

Other Thoughts: This is a classic example of great product specification! So much potential for an outstanding product! Quality is awesome. But I think the CAD guy must have switched the scale of his drawings, or broke his ruler, because this case is short by an inch in every direction, so please fire him. I researched cases for two months before settling on this vs the Cosmos II, mostly due to double the cost...big mistake.

The corsair h100i, wont fit in a push/pull configuration, partly due to the VRM cooling gizmo on the Maximus VI Formula, but because it also conflicts with the disk about an inch. Even so, I still had issues fitting it in and lining up in a position that allowed some flexibility for wiring.

MB covers the wire cutouts so it makes routing TIGHT!
Front fans are aligned so that you can't use the third drive bay, which effectively leaves you with one bay for use...again by an inch. The hard drive case has plenty of mounts for fans, but ultimately cant use any of them, if you have a slightly larger video card, which is fine...but you cant even mount a smaller fan effectively. Bottom HD cage, wont permit a fan, but even if you take it out, you still cant mount one. All the holes for fans seem to be in a weird position, that either forbids the use of all potential fans or even if you can mount them, the are awkwardly positioned....everyone except for the rear chassis about an inch. I worked with what I had, but even after all the research and using, it still was difficult and didn't turn out the way I wanted.

So Cooler Master...if you want I'll redesign this thing for ya for free. Nothing is worse than buying a Swiss Army Knife, with every option on it, only to find out that you can only use the knife if you promise never to use any of the other tools on what's the point.

Considering that most will want to use the H100i in push/pull config and at least a dual fan GPU, both necessitating in an extra inch in depth and height, and fix that fan hole alignment issue and this case will be perfect in everyway.

Ultimately save your money and get the Cosmos II. I wish I did!

4 out of 5 eggsFirst Build

Pros: Looks very cool, sits off the floor close to 2 inches, great air flow all around the case.
Easy to disassemble and reassemble parts off case.
There is an off button for the front fan lights on the top of the case. Lights are cool but some times they need to go off.
Huge bulge on back side for lots of cables if you have them. Worked out for me when I added a liquid cooling system.
All my parts fit right the first time, no modifications necessary.
Did I say this case looks really cool?
I was able to conceal my Radiator Fans under the top cover, there may still be room for a third.
The MSI R9 270X Video cards fit perfectly in this case. There kinda wide and I have some room to spare still.

Cons: ATX motherboards are very tight in this case. I had to remove most of the extra HDD slots to get all of my SATA cables and USB 3.0 cable to plug in.
The Motherboard covers half of each vertical hole for cable management.
Had to mount Radiator fans on the outside up top so the Rad would fit. also had to drop the disc drive down a slot from the top in order to fit the 240 mm Rad. SATA cables where making contact. Push Pull fans on Rad in this case with ATX Motherboard will be difficult.

3 out of 5 eggsSmall

Pros: It looks super attractive and the carrying handles are a big bonus. The hotswap bays are a nice touch too.

Cons: It is SO small. This case can BARLEY be considered a full tower case, and if you don't take off part of the HDD bays casing you can't fit a full size graphics card inside it.

4 out of 5 eggsnot too bad

Pros: This is not a bad case at all, it has been getting alot of bad reviews, its has enough room for an 80mm thick rad in the front and fits my 770

Cons: The case is a bit tight but just big enough

Other Thoughts: I did mod this case quite severe, it is now it is a Reverse ATX and I totally removed the drive cases , which really is an inferior design, you do have room everything you need I this case suited my need's it hold my duel bay res my 240x80 mm rad D5 and 120x35 rad in the rear, 770 on a MSI Mpower Max and AX1200 I should have uploaded a video..sorry

4 out of 5 eggsNOT a FULL tower

Pros: This case is solid, sturdy and has a LOT of room for water cooling radiators , plenty of air flow and a sleek design, strong carrying handles and a sold foot system and as described a lot of space for HDDs

Cons: This is NOT a full tower case, its a mid tower cast, I got this case on the description that is was a full tower as I enjoy having room inside to set up the PC as I like, this was not the instance with this tower, its cramped on the inside an while an ATX board will fit, you'll be better using a Micro-at if you want any room to move or insert SATA cables. Also has 3 5.25" drive bays, but if you want to use all 3, you'll have to rearrange the inside which is a pain but doable. would have rather gotten the Cosmos 2 but wanted a window to see the water cooling system

Other Thoughts: I gave it a 4 for this review because aside from the size of the case, it really is a well made, well designed case for the price

5 out of 5 eggsCoolerMaster's Customer Service is unrivalled

Pros: The customer service at Coolermaster is beyond amazing. This case has had some, well.. challenges with design. many things that really made me wish I didn't buy it because of very poor design by coolermaster. I decided to contact CoolerMaster hoping they would be able/willing to assist me with refining my setup considering the poor design in a few critical areas. Their customer service was friendly and responsive. Asked for my setup and pictures. They then went the extra mile and offered me a solutions using what I had. Very simply put, the best customer service I have come across in a long time.. Corsair could really learn a lot if they were to spend some time with Coolermaster people...

Thank you Patrick and team for your unbelievable service! it wont be forgotton

Cons: case really has a bad space management due to design..

if you want to install two fans on top, or a radiator larger than a single 140mm rad, the top drive bay becomes unusable... wasted space...

if you want to put a rad on the front lager than a single 140mm rad/fan.. you cannot use drive bays 2 and 3.. .again.. bad design.. wasted space.

no spot for fan on bottom... wasted space.

atx boards covers the bottom grommets entirely.. bad design

atx boards cover one - half of the grommets next to the drive bays.. bad desing.

thickest single rad you could install up top is 40mm.. and you cant install fans with it.. only on the outside... bad design

Other Thoughts: really.. I would rate this case a 2 of 5 for the case.. but the customer service is so amazing from Coolermaster that I gave it a 5.. ONLY because of that.... this case could really have some potential.. with a revision... as is.. I would not suggest you buy if you have any plans whatsoever of water cooling.

4 out of 5 eggsgood tech

Pros: After doing my homework I took the chance and picked this and very happy I did. Most reviews are not very good no matter where you look but the things most over look is the possibilities and configurations permitted. I run a full atx board which will fit and you can still run a clean wire setup. This is not a full tower but you don't run into the standard water cooling setups and wiring being too short issues that normally come with the bigger full size towers either. The biggest plus hands down is the fact its completely dust filtered which there may be others but none that I could locate ( with exception of cosmos 2 )

Cons: Of course there are cons with everything my only problem with this case is they could have used better materials.

Other Thoughts: do your home work and make sure any case you buy will work now and in the future.
