5 out of 5 eggsUltra Slim and quiet

Pros: This guy is quiet, even with the fan running normal fan speed.

Very low profile, if you have a mobo with capacitors next to the CPU you might have problems

Able to cool my i7 processor without problems.

Cons: Keeps things cool, but not as cool as a standard large cooler.
May cause cooling issues if you are trying to overclock your system or your airflow from cooler air is not great.
My first one had a bad capacitor but the RMA was quick and easy to take care of

Other Thoughts: Get this bad boy if you are looking for something small enough for an enclosure for a home theater PC.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I used this for my first build, I wanted something compact for the living room that could work as a multipurpose pc and it does. Its very subtile and works great with a entertainment center set up.

Cons: Not really any big ones, you have to be careful when GPU shopping because it does not support full length GPU's. I went with a stubby GTX 960 thats bairly over 6 inches but some of the high end cards are not going to fit.

1 out of 5 eggsWill not fit Asrock Z97M Anniversary

Pros: Sturdy case, has mounting holes everywhere for everything

Cons: The mounting holes on the case and the mounting holes on my Asrock Z97M Anniversary motherboard are about half a centimeter off of each other, and I can't get the motherboard grounded properly because even though I got the screws in most of the way, I can only go so far because the motherboard is hitting the left side of the inside of the case.

Other Thoughts: I really don't want to cut some sort of hole in the side of the inside of this case for my motherboard, so I'll have to return it and get a different case.

Manufacturer Response:

Good Morning Tyler,

This is odd as I would suggest an exchange through New Egg or an RMA request through our CM Fanzone as I would be glad to exchange it for you. Be sure to include your purchase invoice and serial number at the link below.

I look forward to your response.

4 out of 5 eggsNice case - very quiet

Pros: Well built. Solid. Easy access from almost all sides. A lot of room to put your MB in place despite its small size. Room for a full ATX power supply as well as room for multiple 3.5 HDD and 2.5 HDD/SDD although they do hang off the side and top of the case, which for me, was a little strange.

Cons: The case leads for the lights, power and reset buttons are well marked as what they are but they are NOT marked with + - polarization. Not sure if that really matters but for me connecting those to the MB was iffy but luckily I got it right the first time. YAY!

Other Thoughts: This case is a SMALL case. So know what you are getting into. This was my first computer build in years so I was a little nervous doing this again. So, if you do not like tight spaces, this case is not for you. And, for beginning builders, make sure you put as much together and plug as many things in as possible before installing your power supply.

You need to remove the power supply to have room to change out most parts and reconnect leads to the MB for the most part. Not really a con but something to consider.

5 out of 5 eggsThis case is awesome!

Pros: Everything, full size psu fit perfect, had plenty of room for multiple hard drives. fit my itx mobo without any issues.

Cons: minor but only has 2 side usb ports, 4 would have been nice but for the size that may be asking for too much!

Other Thoughts: very happy with this purchase, works great as a media center pc for the living room and doesn't take up much room. get a short gtx 750 video card and you'll be good to go!

5 out of 5 eggsChoose your own adventure...

Pros: Plenty of space for a mini itx case with enough vents to help push the heat through. Plenty of options from 3-4 storage drives, to a smaller graphics card, to adjusting airflow beyond the 120 mm fan in the system to additional 80 mm fans as well. Fitting a full sized power supply ain't half bad either. The trick is finding the balance in system components as you can't have all of these things at once.

For me, it really shines thanks to the 120 mm radiator capability. This helps eliminate the need for finding a low profile cooler or a smaller power supply.

Cons: With any mini-itx case, there's always compromises. Of course, if you care more about air flow or have a dual slot graphics card, you'll have to sacrifice the drive space on the side. These sacrifices are typical of any small system but even in a con, Cooler Master shines in giving you the option of what you choose to sacrifice. Normally there's no such thing as a five egg mini itx case. If these sacrifices aren't made, you're left with a significantly larger system. If too many sacrifices are made, you're left with a severely limited system that doesn't ever reach the potential you hoped for.

Cooler Master gets five eggs for this system because they place the decision in your hands. What are you willing to live without to better the system in the way that you prioritize?

Other Thoughts: My first build was a low power Kabini system for a custom NAS turned low end Windows Server for file sharing in a LAN. I purchased a second case to start a compact office build using a more powerful Godavari build. The office I work in has very limited desk space so a larger system is not an option.

I think when writing a review for a mini ITX case, one must understand that the smaller you go, the more you must compromise from a mid-tower or full-tower style system. Expandability will always be the issue. It pains me to see anyone give a negative review because they didn't have a realistic expectation of the system's capabilities. When planning a build for a system this small, research has to be done. There's a myriad of tech reviews of many components online. Simply reading a store's user review page is not good enough.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Love it love it love it and so far I've had not one trouble with it. The radiator is super quite along with my processors fan and also circulates air very well due to its size so it won't get really hot

Cons: No cons so far

2 out of 5 eggsPoorly designed and constructed

Pros: Inexpensive, relatively small

Cons: Slightly too narrow for microATX board, plenty of extra space that could accommodate an optical drie

Other Thoughts: This case is slightly too narrow for a microATX board. It can barely fit with some angled screws and omitting the rear plate. I liked the concept of saving space and still using a microATX board, but this is a failure of a case. Won't be buying again, though I did shoehorn the board in, despite the manufacturing and/or design defect.

Manufacturer Response:

Good Morning Gavin,

I see you purchased an M-ITX Chassis and looking to mount a M-ATX motherboard. I'm afraid our Elite 110 will not be able to accommodate this as your motherboard is too large. We have all the specifications listed on our product as well as New Egg's product page to assist you with making an educated purchase. I suggest exchanging or returning this for a MATX compatible motherboard such as our N200. Feel free to send us a support ticket for further questions.

3 out of 5 eggsWrong info for drive support

Pros: Small

Cons: No way 3- 3 1/2" drives fit in this case.
2- SSDs and 1- 31/2" are what this case will hold, no more!

3 out of 5 eggsNice Case, Poor Rebate Service

Pros: Excellent mini-itx case - it takes a standard size power supply and is laid out so that tidying up the cables is easy.

Cons: Rebate took 71 days from the time it was mailed. Cooler Master uses rebateaccess for their rebate processing which has a couple of negatives: 1. It takes 70+ days to receive your rebate card 2. The rebate card you receive requires activation at myprepaidcenter whereas other rebate companies' cards come more quickly and are already activated.

Other Thoughts: Rebates are a game and the rebate companies and manufacturers do their best to be slow and/or not honor their rebates which is understandable since it's how they profit from rebates, however, if you read the fine print and play the game, you can get a good deal - you just have to be patient and vigilent.
