5 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: Small case, room for a standard size atx psu, adequate cooling through front mesh.

Cons: I'm using a non-modular psu and it's a little challenging to fit all the cables into this case....but I expected that. I'd definitely recommend going modular and also avoiding 3.5" hard drives if you can. If you use modular psus and only ssds, you should have ample space and plenty of airflow.

Even with my big bundle of PSU cables, I'm getting good temperatures (low 30s) on my haswell core i3 using a stock cooler.

4 out of 5 eggsSTILL TOO BIG!!!

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: As chassis go, it's admittedly fairly small. "Okay" looking; not great. Yeah, you can add a bunch of drives on there, and a pretty big video card.

Cons: It's STILL WAAY TOO BIG!!! Why are "gamers" considered to be the only market for SFF?!? Even with a discrete video card, probably 50% of the internal volume is wasted. I ABSOLUTELY do NOT need an optical drive, and if I did, I'd be okay with EITHER a thin/laptop formfactor drive (easy to source) or USB. So why all this extra space? The issue is the standard ATX formfactor P/S, which is a poor choice; you want to go with a 1U/"server"-style, which are much more dense, but otherwise power/energy comparable.

Other Thoughts: NOBODY HAS YET gotten this chassis formfactor right! The Lian-Li LI PC-TU200B is only slightly larger, and much, much nicer/lighter (though admittedly much more expensive).

Please, Lian-Li -- or anybody -- MAKE A SMALLEST-POSSIBLE MINI-ITX CHASSIS. You'd sell a ton of 'em.

5 out of 5 eggsawesome little care

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: foot print is great!!! uses full size PSU, ease of punting SSD hard drive

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: needed something with small foot print for light to medium gaming PC, this worked great, I have an older graphics card in it, enough to play the games I want

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for SAN

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: Compact, quality construction, supports full size PSUs, quiet fan.

Cons: Overall, there are no problems with this case, but if you really want to split hairs: The cable management could be a little better, and the power button light is extremely bright for my tastes.

Other Thoughts: A small case with a spacious inside. All of my parts fit correctly without any conflicts. My only concern was the lack of space for my PSU wires to be neatly hidden, but tightly wrapping them and shoving them into a corner seems to work just fine.

I would definitely purchase this case for similar builds in the future.

5 out of 5 eggsUsed for HTPC

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: Good size to fit into the entertainment center
Front fan is quite and pushes the air right out the back (no PSU installed)
Top mount HDD works well, the front fan keeps it cool
Lots of room for me, although it is tight to manage

Cons: Mine is located in a perfectly sized cube so I cannot use the front ports because they are on the side, not a deal breaker
Lots of wires for the front panel, not sure if they can be removed but they take up a lot of room
Th USB3 header and USB2 header share the same wire which is super thick and hard to maneuver within the case

Other Thoughts: I covered the front light with a picture frame.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat value (as a bundle)

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: PSU mount is very stable. Hard drive mounting is weird but works very well.

Cons: A lot of factors went into this con. After mounting the MSI AM1 mobo and the MSI 7730 GPU the case itself is just barely blocking the HDMI port. Even the "skinny ended" HDMI cables can't get in fully so this effectively makes this HTPC project a failure.

Other Thoughts: Just big enough to make portability marginally easier.

Manufacturer Response:

Good Afternoon William,

I apologize the Elite 110 is not working correctly for you as it sounds as if you have to slightly push your AMD 7730 GPU from the rear I/O slot to the left a little and screw the thumbscrew down for clearance of your HDMI. This is a common issue with ALL computer cases as you probably needed to line up the GPU with the rear slot.

1 out of 5 eggsProblems!!!!

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: Case is compact and a nice looking.

Cons: Where to start..... Case came and the box wasn't damaged at all yet there was a huge dent in the bottom. I got past that and then hooked everything up and it wouldn't start. Thinking it was me I tried everything just to find out the power switch was broken. I confirmed this by plugging the reset button into the power sw spot on the mobo then it worked just fine. Newegg said they would rma it but the return shipping is $20....Are you kidding me? No thanks, I'll just use the reset button or jerry rig a new generic switch in it somehow. I'm not eating $20 over a $35 dollar case though. I got this case as a combo deal, and my recommendation for others is don't do it, pick your own parts instead because this case is junk.

Other Thoughts: Save your money. If Cooler Master looks at their reviews on Newegg and wants to do the right thing, they should send me a new case in goodwill, or cover all return shipping costs. If they need proof I have pics and can make a vid if they need one.

Manufacturer Response:

Good Morning Mike,

Yes we do read these reviews as it sounds as if your case was damaged through shipping as you could have filed a shipping claim through New Egg and the carrier. With that said you can apply for a Parts Request for the defective I/O panel through our CM Fanzone along with your purchase invoice and serial number at the link below.

I look forward to your response.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing Case for the Money

This review is from: COOLER MASTER Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 Midnight Black Steel / Plastic Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case with Standard Size ATX PSU and 120mm Radiator Support

Pros: - Great Cable Management Ability
- Feels MUCH more expensive than the price tag would suggest
- Awesome form factor

Cons: - The HDD mounting is SLIGHTLY awkward, especially considering you have to mount them upside down with screws and rubber feet. Not enough to warrant removal of an egg, especially since the mounting puts the drives immediately below an air vent for cooling.

- The Blue LED on the front IS a little bright. Threw in a resistor to knock down the brightness. No harm no foul.
