4 out of 5 eggsNice case, requires patience

Pros: Has great airflow. Fits ATX and PS2 power supply.

Cons: Fan wall is a bit annoying. Tons of screws. Cabling is weird.

Other Thoughts: All in all, it's a pretty solid case. The fan wall is a bit annoying, but wasn't terrible flipping the fans. You do lose a hard drive space when you have to run your front I/O and power cables to your board.Used that space to run the power supple cable through and it worked just fine. The picture also doesn't show that the top has a vent for the power supply, so if you have a fan on the bottom, it will work. The only thing I can think of that would have made it a bit easier would have been having a modular power supply.

3 out of 5 eggsPassable

Pros: The two external 5.25" drive bays are nice, which is good for installing 2.5" HDD hot swap bays (I chose the all-metal 4-bay ICY DOCK, which fits drives with 15mm height such as my Velociraptors).

Cons: Somewhat shoddy design. The motherboard area is barely big enough to squeeze in my Sabertooth 990FX, so I ended up flipping the fan wall (which is quite tedious I might add) to allow better clearance for the SATA cables.

3.5" hard drive mounting and 5.25" drive mounting is an absolute pain. You'd better have a good magnetic screwdriver, or you're going to be dropping screws and getting quite peeved.

The PSU mounting position is pretty wonky and not well thought out. If you have a larger PSU, or one with modular cabling this is going to be a pain for you, as they will hit the fan wall that you just flipped. I ended up just laying my PSU in there sideways. It also doesn't allow for adequate cooling of the PSU.

The screw on cover is a bit annoying since the screw holes don't line up correctly. I have to push down on the one side while turning my thumbscrew to secure it.

Other Thoughts: For what it is, it's a decent chassis, and it's what you should expect at such a (relatively) low price.

3 out of 5 eggsSolid, but weird

Pros: Well made box, lots of space, fans, disk options and front panel connections.

Cons: Poorly planned - I bought two, both had the fans either put on the fan rack wrong or horribly planned where they extend into the area where the ATX board extends - really annoying to take 20 minutes to swap them around properly.

Other Thoughts: Solid server case, but annoying setup.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty Good 2U Chassis

Pros: Fits up to ATX mother board
4 x 80mm fans /w grills (and molex to 4pin distributor)
Uses ATX power supply

Cons: To fit the ATX motherboard I was using I had to switch the fans to the other side of the central fan spire. I also learned the hard way that the best way to swap the fans is to remove the central spire and then install/uninstall the fans (there are sharp edges).

A similar method of installation should be used for mounting the ATX power supply.

Cables will run through one of the hard drive bays lowering the maximum amount of hard drives that can be installed in this system by one or two drives. You may be able to regain the HDDs by removing the 5.25 drive tray.

Other Thoughts: This case works very well for my use case but does have draw backs.

5 out of 5 eggsNice home server case

Pros: Low price, sturdy construction, nice fans. perfect for my Intel mb. There is really good air flow through this chassis with the power supply located where the manufacturer provides. I have no idea why some are moving it to the DVD player side. I have a full size dvd in mine and excellent air flow.

Cons: I had to move the chassis fans from one side to center bar to the other. This was not difficult and is not really a con when you consider the price.

Other Thoughts: I advise to order the chassis first. The type of power supply required it the ATX with fans on the side rather that the one large one on the bottom as many or the newer designs.

3 out of 5 eggsCheap, but fails basic sanity test

Pros: Supports normal ATX power supply and a regular ATX motherboard. Inexpensive.

Cons: Badly designed.

The whole thing is a bit awkward, simply because a regular ATX board and a regular ATX PSU don't easily fit in a 2U case. The PSU can't have its fan on the bottom, else it will be completely covered. The a PSU fan actually exhausts air toward the front of the case, against the flow of all of the other fans. Not much the designers could really do about this.

The PSU fits on the right side of the case (and the power input is on toward the side). Depending on how the 3-prong AC input is aligned right-angle power cable that also bends toward the outside of the case. Simply put, it doesn't fit power supplies with the middle prong below the two outer prongs.

You've got to move the PSU into the place of the 5.25" bays, which means you can't screw it down.

The edges of the case are sharp. This is especially bad since I think I literally had to remove *every* *single* *screw* in the process of installing a system in it. To begin with, the primary advantage of this case is that it takes a regular ATX board, but the fans are pre-installed onto the divider in such a way that an ATX board (or a micro-ATX board for that matter) wouldn't fit. Have fun cutting your knuckles on sharp edges while you unscrew 24 screws holding the fans and grills and then rescrewing them all on the opposite side.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Sturdy, cheap, easy to move parts around

Cons: The layout is suboptimal in a few ways. First, there is a row of fans in the middle of the case that stick out toward the motherboard compartment. I had to take these out and re-screw them to the other side of the center bar to get my ATX motherboard to fit.

Second, the spot for the power supply blocks nearly all airflow to the motherboard compartment. To prevent major overheating, I had to put the power supply where the CD drives are supposed to go (lucky for me my build didn't need CD drives).

Third, the holes to thread cords from the front to the back compartment are a little small.

A few sharp edges.

Other Thoughts: All in all I got it done without serious modding, just moving lots of parts around. I bought 2 of these to start, and just ordered 5 more, so I'd say I'm a satisfied customer.
