4 out of 5 eggsCase fine, Power Supply less impressive

Pros: Very well packed, overall fit and finish good, easy to remove/reconfigure internal structures like drive cages, etc.

Cons: Power supply form factor, off-brand, loose hardware

Other Thoughts: The case arrived very well packed and in good physical condition. Overall the fit and finish seems good and all drive cages, etc are easy enough to remove/reconfigure with a little patience. Cover removal is easy with 4 (small) phillips head screws. Case does appear to be able to take a standard ATX power supply but be aware that most of the standard ATX PS's going now for decent prices/specs have a top/bottom mounted fan which will be an issue in this case as there would be virtually no clearance between the fan and the case lid. You might ultimately have to go with a 1U replacement and modify/replace the bracket which holds the PSU to the case bottom or modify the top of the case and add an exhaust grill Also note that the PSU is mounted internally so there's no access to the master on/off. (Supplied PSU doesn't have one) The power supply was less impressive as its some no-name generic ATX12v. At this price point didn't expect much but one issue right out of the box is that there are only 2 SATA power connectors so if you're going to max out its 6 internal drive slots with SATA's order some 4 pin molex -> SATA adapters at the same time. As I was examining the PSU noticed something rattling around inside. Finally managed to extract a piece of loose hardware. Initially thought it was part of the PSU but come to find out it was one of the removable mobo standoffs that had come loose or was dropped during manufacturing and had lodged in the PSU. Once I've installed will update review on PSU and/or fan noise.

3 out of 5 eggsUpdate to previous review

Pros: With modification, the case _will_ accept a full ATX motherboard. Requires a screwdriver and patience.

Cons: Case requires modifications due to factory ineptitude. Mounting 2.5 to 3.5" drive adapter can block hard drive cage mounting screws. Would be good to have actual inserts for the 5.25" holes in the front of the case.

Other Thoughts: Center bracket contains four fans. One was _inside_ the center bracket, the other three were mounted to the outside of the bracket. This is obviously not how the case was designed, as the fans then impact the MB mounting screws. Remove the bracket (four screws on the bottom, two on each side of the case, and quite a bit of wiggling - plus requiring removal of the power cable extension) and remove the three fans from the outside, and move them to the inside. Be sure to check the direction you want for the airflow - it appears that ARK wants to create a vortex, rather than a flow. CPU temperature is staying reasonably stable.

3 out of 5 eggsGood case, misleading description.

Pros: Fully loaded withthree fans and power supply, and has space for several hard drives.

Cons: Description is misleading. Yes, you can fit an ATX board into the case, but it _cannot_ be full depth. The only way to fit an ATX or Micro ATX board with full depth into the case is to remove the airflow fans completely. The mounting screws for such a board are present, but the fans overlap by approximately 1/2 an inch. In fact, the center fan is bowed at the bottom by the mounting for a full sized board.

Other Thoughts: If you replace the 80mm x 2.5cm fans with 1cm fans, you'll probably be able to mount the board while keeping the fans. Otherwise, get 70mm fans and drill new holes in the crossbrace. (and you still won't have access to anything facing that edge of the board)

Front faceplates for 5.25" bays were both broken loose; no shipping damaged noted, so probably poorly stamped at factory.

5 out of 5 eggsI love this Case

Pros: Lot of space, perfect for a NAS, you can hold 6+ hard drives there.
everything fits with no problem. lots of Fans, easy connectors for extra fans.
Space, Space and more Space.
Good price

Cons: Is no actually a cons. just a comment, but will be nice if this case was 3 inches shorted (dip)

Other Thoughts: I got it because looks really good, even after find that it will fail to fit my rack (20" max vs 23"), not a big deal for me because I did a mod on it to made it fit
