ARK IPC-2U235 Black 1.2mm SGCC 2U Rackmount Server Case

Pros: Okay, so this case is very solid, ASUS F1A75-M PRO MicroATX mother board dropped right in. Rosewill Stallion Series RD400-2-SB 400W ATX worked, but I had to modify the case for the fan port, no biggie for me, but your average consumer will have a hard time cutting through the steel body. A solid chassis without a doubt.

Cons: Fans are really noisy, Ill probably upgrade these to some silent fans.

Other Thoughts: Im using this case for a nas4free storage in my rackmount at home, works perfectly with my setup, one of the shallower chassis out there. Too bad its discontinued, I would have purchased more from Newegg.

Pros: Handsome, high-quality front panel. Inexpensive.

Cons: MB mounting posts are mis-located by approx. 3/8" making proper MB installation impossible. Fans are very loud and not provided with system fan leads, so speed and noise can't be throttled without purchasing new fans. Screws securing case lid are tiny and unlikely to withstand multiple uses.

Other Thoughts: I would have returned this if it wouldn't take at least 1-1/2 weeks for replacement. (Not complaining about NewEgg's RMA policy and performance, which is great, but I didn't want to lay out the cash for a new case while waiting for a refund.)

Pros: Using this case for a PFSense build.
