OverviewCustomer ReviewSpecificationsProduct Tour
Ultimate gamer case? Just maybe. With a partially perforated package that still finds room for four huge yet quiet fans, you have a seriously cool gaming case, and that's no joke. You expect the Antec Nine Hundred to be ready for lift off, especially with the 200mm TriCool exhaust fan and perforated port atop this stylish case. You can even mount a 120mm fan on the side panel! Contrary to some expectations, this case is very quiet, unless you have all the fans going at their highest settings, at which point you might hear . . . something.

The 5.25" bays will hold optical drives, burners, or even (gasp!) your aging floppy drive, and up to six 3.5" drives can be installed in cages behind the fans, and these can be arranged along the front any way you like. This case provides a plethora of possibilities, and room to explore placement of all the pieces. The PSU, in a departure, is at the bottom of the case, for better case stability and thermal environment for the CPU.

The side window into the case, in addition to letting you show things off, provides additional ventilation, either by way of the vented screen, or by the fourth fan in the box, mounted into clear plastic, for a clear and elegant mounting. This is a sturdy case built of steel, with enough cooling technology to keep things frosty in the hottest action. Take one home today and build yourself the "coolest" rig around!

Antec 900 (200mm fan replacement)

white Reviewed By: Jalida on 7/5/2007
Rating + 5
Tech Level Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
Pros: Great airflow, very nice appearance. Small enough not to be obtrusive, yet large enough to hold everything that I need it to hold
Cons: 200mm top fan is quite brittle.
Other Thoughts: If you're 200mm top fan has broken, you can now get a replacement from Antec at the following url: http://www.antec.com/Detail.bok?no=490

Excellent Build Quality--Ideal for Modding

white Reviewed By: CyberDruid on 12/27/2006
Rating + 5
Tech Level Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Unlike many other cases this is thick steel with a nice industrial quality finsh taht resists damage admirably. The removable HDD cages with 3 speed fans are ideal for Storage Freaks or Mad Modderz--with the cages removed the possibilites for Water Cooling or a custom front panel are endless. The 200mm fan really makes this case special--unlike the Aerocool Extreme Engine 3T this large fan is an exhaust--ideal for a number of applications--hot Graphics Cards, WaterCooling, Silent PC...with the fans on low this is a very quiet case. I would say that on high this is one very loud case--but the temps drop immediately--like most well ventilated cases it is a balancing act between noise and perfomance. The location of the PSU keeps the wieght down low making this case stable when fully built up with a massive PSU and 6 HDDs. The 3 additional bays above the HDD bays are just the right number IMO--if you have to mount a zillion ddodads just pull one of the HDD cages and put your stuff there.
Cons: Very Brittle Plastic in the 200mm fan blades--while atempting to adjust the speed of the top fan my knuckle hit the running fan and snapped a blade right off. Not that this is likely to happen to anyone but me (or someone else with Tinkeritus...LOL)but I was sorely annoyed as the main feature of the case was now gone and there are no replacement 200mm fans available. Especially after spending a full day Converting the Case to Water Cooling with a top mounted rad... o_0 And this is not a portable type of case--even empty--when I had it loaded with a pair of SCSI Cheetahs and 4 Raptors and a Silverstone 560watt PSU in there it actually threw my back out trying to get that beast under my desk! So keep your knuckles out of the top fan and don't be moving this thing around and you will be in good shape LOL.
Other Thoughts: My first build in this case was for a storage freak-2 Cheetah/4Raptor--and it worked out great. Routing all the cables is a little challenging with a non modular supply--not really a con thogh--as there is a space under the lower HDD bay to tuck unused cabling--and the side of the bays is hidden by the panel--so fans and lights cabling/molex can be routed there out of sight. The PSU location does make a good bit of floor space dissapear--but this is made up by the pretty picture the raised Mobo makes in the window on the side panel. The Fanhole on the side panel is ideal for cooling down the graphics cards. Not sure about the mesh being a good thing for positive ventilation as it may cause some cycling from a fan there.Build2: turned the rear fan around to make an intake and put in a 70cfm 120mm on the side and put a PA 160 radiator externally mounted over the top 200mm fan--used 2 bays for the res, one for DVD burner and used one for the WC pump making for a very nice short loop syste

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Good ventilation, Huge 20cm fan, plenty of drive space, bottom mounted PSU, removable drive bays, water cooling inlets, adjustable fan speeds, top mounted power/reset/USB/IEEE, side window, extra fan mounts, the list goes on...
Cons: Cable routing can be a bit of a pain, no tooless drive install, can be noisy when all fans are maxed out, top cover not easy to remove, power cable might not reach CPU...
Other Thoughts: I bought this case for better ventilation and it does the job well. I dropped my CPU temps by 5 degrees and GPU by 4. Cable routing can be trouble some, but the newer revision of the case does provide two openings left of the drive bays that aren't pictured. The new version also has ports for water cooling tubing that replace the rear grill right of the expansion slots. All 12cm fans have blue LEDs as well. Overall I feel it's a good case. It might take some modifications to get it just right. The biggest con I had was my 4pin CPU cable wouldn't reach with the Antec SmartPower mounted. I was planning on replacing it though so no big deal. This case can be made awesome with some minor modifications to the motherboard tray, so if you're handy with a dremel go for it.

Easy Installation

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Good price, very easy installation with the modular drive/hard-disk bays for the case size.
Cons: Wish it came with a glass door side fan.
Other Thoughts: I liked the manual fan control switches, but one might be a bit difficult to get to later if I decide to up the speed. Should get some good air flow, especially if I get the glass door side pan.

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Has 4 fans with the case and two optional fan slots to fill.
Fans are very silent.
Cons: I have an Intel Core i7 920 with this, can't fit any HSF with 15 cm or above in height.
Other Thoughts: Looks cool, very reliable.
I guess it was my problem for not checking how much space would be available.
I have a GTX 260, but it fits fine with enough space.
Not good for 2 GTX 260 though, since you would have to take the bottom HDD cage out to do that.

Pros: Bought this for the pc I was building for my gf. I have the Twelve Hundred, but she didn't like the size, but did like the blue led's on the fans, so got her this one since it's a little smaller.

Absolutely no problem with the build and fitting in an ASUS P6X58D-E board with a Noctua NH-U12P on the i7 930.
Cons: Nada
