Ultimate gamer case? Just maybe. With a partially perforated package that still finds room for four huge yet quiet fans, you have a seriously cool gaming case, and that's no joke. You expect the Antec Nine Hundred to be ready for lift off, especially with the 200mm TriCool exhaust fan and perforated port atop this stylish case. You can even mount a 120mm fan on the side panel! Contrary to some expectations, this case is very quiet, unless you have all the fans going at their highest settings, at which point you might hear . . . something.

The 5.25" bays will hold optical drives, burners, or even (gasp!) your aging floppy drive, and up to six 3.5" drives can be installed in cages behind the fans, and these can be arranged along the front any way you like. This case provides a plethora of possibilities, and room to explore placement of all the pieces. The PSU, in a departure, is at the bottom of the case, for better case stability and thermal environment for the CPU.

The side window into the case, in addition to letting you show things off, provides additional ventilation, either by way of the vented screen, or by the fourth fan in the box, mounted into clear plastic, for a clear and elegant mounting. This is a sturdy case built of steel, with enough cooling technology to keep things frosty in the hottest action. Take one home today and build yourself the "coolest" rig around!

  • newegg 200mm TriCool Fan The Antec Nine Hundred features a unique top-mounted 200mm TriCool exhaust fan to cool even the hottest systems.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: This thing screams quality, heavy duty and it looks great.

The layout with the power supply on the bottom and the top venting fan is genius, why is every other case not doing this?

Ventilation up the wazoo. Get a bunch of cheap fans and under-voltage them for good airflow and near silent cooling.

Tons of space and versatility, you basically have 9 slots for whatever 5 1/2" stuff you want to cram into your case.

Cons: Stock fans are kind of cheap, wish there was an option to turn the LED's off/down. The LED color matching on the fans is pretty poor, some look very purple. I don't really care but for the price I feel everything should be perfect.

Other Thoughts: I wouldn't want to drag this beast to a LAN party, but it looks great in my man cave.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Good looking, easy to use case. The hard drive bays are completely removable. The fans have a nice blue color to them and all the fans have individual speed controls.

Cons: Thumb screws- To remove 1 hard drive bay you're looking at 12 thumb screws just to get the bay out then 4 normal screws to attach the drive. Not really a problem, just got annoying after having to take out my drive 2-3 times due to new drives and failed drives.

Other Thoughts: Great case, would order again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Terrific airflow, keeps all my components cool, the 200mm top fan works well with my processor fan, which can be oriented upwards. Interior case temperatures never get higher than room.

Cons: None, really

Other Thoughts: I couldn't really consider this one a con: I've got pets, and the front fans really like to pull dust and pet hair, not into the computer, but onto the front.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet Case

Pros: Awesome case. Love the PSU mounting at the bottom. The accessible ports at the top. Cool little tray to put trinkets (Flash drive, etc.). Huge 300 mm (If I remember correctly) exhaust fan at the top of the case is amazingly quiet, and keeps the case at a nice cool temp. Heat rises. Great engineering, Antec!

Cons: The audio, 1394, and USB ports at the top of the computer kind of force you to put this case on the floor. Where does dust settle? The floor. Have to blast this thing out every month. It's ridiculous.

Other Thoughts: This case MOVES AIR. Expect it to get more dusty than in your normal case. Get some of those fan filters to help keep your case clean on the inside.

4 out of 5 eggsNo Regrets.

Pros: + Looks great.

+ Fit everything I had. (See Other Thoughts)

+ Runs extremely quiet even with all fans at max speed.

+ Droped my idle temp by 8-12°C. (Ambient Room
Tempature being the flux.)

+ Dropped my loaded running temp by 14°C.

+ Very sturdy as a Mid-Tower.

+ Hidden Cable design worked great for my current set up. (Not perfect, but good.)

+ Solved two problems with one case. Heat, and of course style.

+ Front pannel ports work just fine. No static/static sound from headphones.

+ Awesome fan on top keep my drink cold. (... kidding.)

+ Great spacing between H.D.D.'s installed. Very little heat can be felt placing a finger between two of them.

+ I personally like my $99 - $400 hardware secure in my computer. The screws people have complained about are awesome. Easy to remove, easy to install. Sure you have to remove 8 screws to get to your bays, but at least you can move your computer without the fear of a plastic clip snapping.

Cons: - Would have appreciated a matching side pannel fan as it does not come with one, but has support brackets for a fan.

- Power supply will need fairly long cables to reach to the tippy top slot if you intend to hide your cables.

- Side pannel (with window) can conduct a -lot- of static. Take it off, move it far, far away while you install. Don't even think about putting it back on untill you have your PSU installed and plugged in so your computer is grounded. I didnt have a problem, but better safe than sorry.

- Power supply worries me. It rest on the bottom of the case, blocking it's intake fan. Possible to over-heat and/or collect all the dust that settles at the bottom of your case. Attempting to turn my PSU upside down ended in failure as the screw holes no longer matched up. I'll be keeping a close eye on my PSU for some time and probably modding my case a little to fix this issue. (This is my negitiave egg complaint.)

Other Thoughts: = Very pleased.

Some of the more negitiave reviews worried me, so I decided to play it safe and purchace my case from a local store just incase there was a problem. (I still love you NewEgg)

One 120mm fan bracket must be removed if you have a GPU longer than 11.5", but there is no fan in it to begin with.

If you're like me and take plenty of time to ensure the safety of your hardware, it will take about an hour and a half to transfer from old to new case, give or take a half hour. (I also took the time to make sure cords were well hidden.)

5 out of 5 eggssimply the best

Pros: just the best cases all around

great airflow with low noise
3 setting adjustable fans
works great with any system and videocard size

Cons: seeing the wires off the PSU becasue the window goes all the way to the bottom

Other Thoughts: adjusting the front 2 fans you ahve to take the side panel off... not really a con since you wouldnt want the little controller hanging out anyway

5 out of 5 eggsDefinitely met my expectations

Pros: Plenty of fans. Big enough with plenty of room for expansion. Nice front inputs. Looks good. Easy to assemble and disassemble. All the cables & fans worked after I put everything in & hooked it up.

Cons: Fan speed adjusters are on all the fans but obviously you can't get to them with it's totally assembled...not a big deal but they do just kind of hang there.

Other Thoughts: This was my first build (so I don't have anything to benchmark it against besides pre-built compag/hp & dells) and everything was installed easily and worked out great. I really like this case and would not hesitate to buy another one.

My system:
Antec 900 case

Phenom II x4 965 Black Ed.

5 out of 5 eggsI agree with the vast majority

Pros: Great case, extremely cool. The huge fan on top is AWESOME. I am convinced that's the reason why this case is so cool. Well that and the ventilation from front to back of course :D

Cons: Make sure your power supply and video card will fit. I moved most of my components from my super heavy XPS case but could not use my 1000 watt power supply because it was a Dell one and too large for the case, but that's my fault for not checking as I'm sure all PSUs will fit if you buy them third-party.

5 out of 5 eggsTwo years and Still Kooling :)

Pros: Just put my third GTX Graphic (three weeks from new egg) MSI N470GTX, temps at idle (47-48c), under full load (88-91c) and the system is still quiet. I have had the same results with the GTX 8800 and the GTX 260 which were pass down to the grand kids computers. I got this case for $69.00 on sale and it is worth the bread. I will buy another and recomend it as long as it is under $100.00 which is easy to find, just watch the weekly adds and it will surface. I have seen this unit for $69.00 at the brick stores with no rebate required.

Cons: No dusk filter, no eggs subtracted, Just buy a some can air and blow it out every 3-6 months

Other Thoughts: If you want dusk filters, get the 902, but you can not find it on sale at a price under $100.00.
System: E8500, 4MB memory, Gigabyte EP45-UD3R, MSI N470GTX, Thermaltake 850 PSU, Two 750 GB HD, ATI TV tuner, DVD Burner and Creative Lab Sound Card. Windows 7, E8500 @3.8 on air. GTX not OC's, there is no reason, all games run smooth at max setting. GTX470 purchase from new egg, its on sale, you can not go wrong for the price.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case for Mid\Entuisiast

Pros: -Good looking
-Quality Design/Construction
-Good Airflow
-Bottom Mount PSU

This is a well designed case. No sharp edges or shoddy quality here. I personally have had no problems with the 200mm top fan, but I also was very careful about where I mounted the fan speed adjusters. Even with the stock fans my system ran cool and gave me no problems. Adding in additional cooling, including the side panel fan only improved matters. Air cooler setup runs well below 100 degrees while under max load. Antec put a lot of thought into the design of this case including the bottom mount for the PSU. All airflow is moved from the front to back and from the bottom to the top.

Cons: -Bottom Mount PSU
-Cable Management

Both cons are the same really... and I blame myself for not putting in additional research when I bought the case. Most PC components are designed with a standard layout in mind. Normally the PSU is at the top and the CPU is a few inches below it so the power cords are shorter. For this case that is a problem. My recommendation is to either buy a PSU designed for a bottom mount or power supply with modular cables.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this case a little over two years ago and I still get compliments on how cool looking my computer is.

I'd love to give this case 5 stars but the bottom power supply mount "feature" has been as much of a headache as it has been helpful. In the end I was able to route and mount everything I wanted but adding or moving devices requires extra time and effort to undo and redo the internal wiring. That said, I would buy this case again knowing what I know today.
