Antec 900 Ultimate Gaming Cases

Antec Nine Hundred

The Most Versatile Gaming Case Ever!
Ultimate gamer case? You bet! With a partially perforated package that still finds room for four huge yet quiet fans, you have a seriously cool gaming case, and that's no joke. You can expect the Antec 900 to be ready for lift off, especially with the 200mm TriCool exhaust fan and perforated port atop this stylish case. Even mount a 120mm fan on the side panel! Contrary to some expectations, this case is extremely quiet, unless you have all the fans going at their highest settings, at which point you might hear...something.

The 5.25" bays will hold optical drives, burners, or even (gasp!) your aging floppy drive, and up to six 3.5" drives can be installed in cages behind the fans, arranged along the front any way you like. This case provides a plethora of possibilities, with room to explore new configurations of all the pieces. The PSU, in a departure, is at the bottom of the case, for better stability and thermal environment for the CPU.

The side window on the case, in addition to letting you show things off, provides additional ventilation, either by way of the vented screen or by the fourth fan in the box mounted into plastic for a clear and elegant installation. This is a sturdy case built of steel, with enough cooling technology to keep things frosty in the hottest action. Take one home today and build yourself the "coolest" rig around!

2 out of 5 eggsstay away

Pros: good lighting effects
solid construction

Cons: top fan of the case shorts my motherboard. Also the cables that come in the box besides the USB 3.0 short out too. Tried every permutation of connections so it must be the case. Also Antec would not honor my rebate bc I didn't have the original barcode even though i had multiple forms showing proof of purchase. Stay away from this company unless you want a junky case and poor rebate service.

Other Thoughts: really thought I would be blown away with all the 5 star reviews...

5 out of 5 eggsThe best purchase I have made for my computer...

Pros: I have had this case since 2006. It has been thru 3 major upgrades and several minor ones. All fans still work! This thing has tons of airflow. To this day I feel nothing but cool air out the back. If anything happens to this case I would replace it with the exact same thing in a heartbeat.

Cons: As others have mentioned the power supply position does make it tricky to run cables sometimes. I will probably buy some cable extensions in the near future so that it won't matter.

Other Thoughts: The only thing I would change is the position of USB ports on the top. They are at a 45 degree angle, and being that this unit is under my desk, I am usually trying to blindly insert flash drives into it. Many times I have had to dig out a flash light and look under the desk to figure out the angle that the stick needs to be at.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Case looks great is easy to work in and keeps components cool. Good air flow. I've replaced 1 fan in 6 years due to noise not failure.

Cons: I understand the need for PSU to be placed on the bottom with the big fan on top, but it does make some of the connections a bit tricky to work with.

Other Thoughts: If you like the look of this case and have large hands like I do this is a great case for you.

5 out of 5 eggsBest "case" senario!

Pros: Roomy, fans are still running after 7 years of use without problems.

Cons: Gets dusty if you don't get the back panels sealed up, but you should be dusting once a year anyway, so it's hardly an issue.
The rubber feet are glued, not bolted on and one of them popped off a few years ago making my box a little tippy. I don't see where they have additional rubber feet available, but I hear if you call Antec, they'll basically sell you any spare part they have in stock even if it's not listed on their website.

Other Thoughts: Take my advice, if you get ready to dust this thing out. *PLEASE* go find the manual online to properly disassemble the case entirely. This case, while a wonder and marvel of construction, has screws in the weirdest places. I put a couple of dings in my case before I realized there were screws, not pressure clips, holding the top bezel in place. Once you figure out how to unscrew/unclip everything, cleaning is a breeze.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case for the price.

Pros: Great airflow through the case. Feels quality built. Came packaged nicely. So far I'm very happy.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: May have to do a little rearranging of front panels to fit longer graphics cards in.

5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely Fantastic Case

Pros: -Had the case for 7+ years and only had one fan die on me about 6 months ago.
-Crazy amounts of airflow, keeps the inside of the PC nice and cool
-Blue LEDs look very nice especially in a dark room
-Absolutely love that the viewing window isn't simply a big square.

Cons: -Due to all the airflow had a tendency to build up dust (especially in hard drive bays), is real easy to clean tho
-The mic ports on the front give a static sound on the other end (friends in TS and Mumble always complained when I didn't use a USB mic)
-Cable management isn't the best but with some TLC you can easily make it work

Other Thoughts: Am currently building a new PC with a red/black theme. IF I could buy this case again but with Red LEDs there would be a very high chance that I would.

5 out of 5 eggsSO MANY FANS

-But seriously, the fans, there are too many for my motherboard to handle!
-Thumb screws are a nice touch
-LED's are also nice
-The window makes the inside of any system look gorgeous
-USB 3.0 is a really nice thing to have and especially on the top of the case, it makes it easy to access all that speed.
-Heavy and sturdy! It's highly unlikely that anybody's going to walk off with this behemoth!

Cons: -Could've added in some better cable management and possibly painted the inside of the case. Nothing to take an egg off for IMHO though.
-Heavy, so it's a bit of a pain to move around haha.

Other Thoughts: The pane in the side of the case scratches/scuffs quite easily, so that's something to watch out for, but it seems to be that way with all the computer cases that feature windows on them. Great case overall.

4 out of 5 eggsFans are all starting to rattle after 4 years

Pros: amazing airflow
metal but light
plenty of upgrade room (cable space is an issue though)

Cons: not enough room for modern high end GPUs (without case modification)
no cable management space
no easy access to the top 200mm fan requires case surgery to get to

Other Thoughts: I bought this case back in 2012 and it is pretty and well built. the fan I have been running on low since I bought it and my fans are starting to rattle. one front fan and the 200mm fan. I'm sure the front fan should be no issue to replace, but as far as I can tell they built the top 200mm fan into the top of the case and riveted the top on so without actually taking the entire top frame and cover of my case off I can not see anyway to access this fan. (if there is a way to access it I would love to know)
