5 out of 5 eggsGreat high quality case - Well thought out

Pros: - Very high build quality. This is not a cheap case with light parts that will bend and deform easily.
- Excellent capacity for expansion and very well thought out layout. To give some perspective, I bought the case in 2010. I recently bought an SSD to upgrade my rig and the case has a mounting slot at the bottom for a SSD. Adding the SSD was a breeze.
- Excellent set of accessories and screws. They don't skimp on anything.
- Silicon grommets for your hard-drives - these small things make a big difference to the noise level and vibration transfer to the case or other parts itself
- Comes with a good quality power supply. 500W is more than enough for my rig (Gigabyte p55-ud3, Intel Core i5, Passive cooled Radeon 4750, 4 hard drives, 16 GB RAM). The cables on the power supply are comfortable length and I've not had any issues with cable length or cable availability yet.
- Looks understated and elegant. This is a personal choice and I hate cases that try to make your rig look like an alien space ship on steroids. This is very professional looking with no random lights or holes to show the innards.
- Side mounted HDD - makes it a lot easier to add/remove HDDs esp. if you add an after-market heatsink.
- Lots of room to add big heatsinks. I added the Cooler Master Hyper 212+ and no issues at all with room.
- The 120mm fan it comes with is very quiet at the lowest setting.

Cons: - No access to back of motherboard after install. Basically you can't remove one side of the case which means once you install your motherboard you have to take it out if you add an after-market heatsink. This was a PITA.
- Comes with only one single 120mm fan. It is not PWM controllable which really annoys me. Has an attached switch that is not easily mountable without drilling the back of the case which I'm not interested in. I don't understand why it is so hard to just ship a PWM controllable fan with this thing.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb

Pros: Build quality second to none.
Side mounted HD's make things so much easier.
Plenty of space for large CPU cooling fans.
Front removeable filter really works stops a lot of crud getting through.

Cons: You may have trouble fitting large video cards if you use a fan on the HD cage.
Filter is a pain to get out as it removes by sliding it downwards. If you have it stood on the floor then you have to tip the case backwards.

Other Thoughts: J.
the slide rails that come with the case have to mounted to the HD's and Disk Drives then they slide into the cages really easily.

4 out of 5 eggsGood value case

Pros: Great value, especially with the included PSU. I like the side-facing HD bays, the super-convenient side panel latch, and the air filter in the front. Case isn't too flashy but looks attractive and feels pretty sturdy. Working on it was convenient.

Cons: Owning this case taught me that I don't like cases with doors over the 5.25" drive bays. The door isn't bad itself, but since I like to have my PC behind stuff and out of the way it was a pain and I eventually removed it, but now it looks uglier and dust gets in all the cracks around the bays. If you don't mind the door more power to you, but I guess they're not for everybody.

Also, no way to remove the second side panel. Slightly annoying for HD cable routing.

5 out of 5 eggsEggCellent

Pros: The quality is evident. It holds the big cpu coolers and all the guts are solid.

Cons: I do not like the tiny blue light, so i take a black dot sticky poke a small hole and place over it to lesson the laser effect.

Other Thoughts: I bought my first Sonata 10 years ago. They have made improvements to keep with tech. Everyone in my family has one of these and some of my friends. I run four.

5 out of 5 eggsSturdy and reliable

Pros: I've been using this case for four years now and it hasn't let me down.
Installing parts is always a simple process and the stock fan and PSU have been chugging along without any issues for some time now, even after I let the case get rusty in a cold garage for six months!

Cons: Front USB ports are occasionally a little too tight for my flash drives.

Other Thoughts: Sturdy, reliable case with a comfortable amount of features.

5 out of 5 eggsBest ATX case for the money

Pros: Well laid out, quiet, simple and understated design.

Cons: The front dust filter drops out from the bottom, making it somewhat annoying to clean.

Other Thoughts: I really can't say enough about Antec's Sonata III case. It's as quiet as they say it is, it's well laid out (the sideways HD trays are very easy to work with), and the design is good looking but simple. It comes with Antec's 500 watt earthwatts green series PSU, which is a great PSU. I've got two of these running 24x7 side by side and neither has ever had a problem (one runs vmware esxi, the other ubuntu server for NFS storage). One is running an AMD FX-8120 on the stock cooler and it has no issues keeping it at safe temps. It you want a simple case with a solid power supply, you can't go wrong here.

4 out of 5 eggsNice box, Odd PS connectors

Pros: Very attractive case that runs quiet.

Cons: No documentation included for power supply and connectors, which wouldn't be a big deal IF they were typically labeled and used a standard configuration. Example: The ATX 12V normally would be a 8 pin connector. This PS has two separate 4 pin connectors labeled LM and MR that should be installed side by side. However the picture on the box shows a standard ATX 12V connector labeled ATX/EPS. Go figure.

Other Thoughts: It would have been nice if the power button extended through the front door panel.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it

Pros: It's high quality in every way. I've owned this case for four years.
I've found that hard drives tend to last longer in this case than in my other cases, and I believe it's because of the airflow and mounting design.
The metal is high quality and has no sharp edges. It's a very easy case to work with.
All the hardware and power connectors I needed were provided.

Cons: You pay up front for quality, but it's worth it.

Other Thoughts: I've owned this for four years and put it to heavy use. I've replaced the power supply once, with another Antec power supply. It's been worry-free otherwise.
