The newest member of Antec’s award-winning Solution Series, the silver NSK4480 continues the tradition of combining quality and cost effective cases and power supplies. In addition, it is more environmentally friendly thanks to the 380 Watt ATX 12V v2.2 power supply’s Active PFC and 80 PLUS certification – which means that you’ll be saving electricity as well as money each month.
Despite its bargain price, you will be pleasantly surprised by the feel and features of the .8mm cold-rolled steel case. It fits standard and micro ATX motherboards and there are no sharp edges inside to put your hands at risk. Seven expansion slots give you plenty of options as do the trio of 5.25” and pair of 3.5” front accessible drive bays.
They, along with three internal 3.5” drives feature rubber grommets to isolate drive vibrations from the case. A rear mounted 120mm TriCool fan is included and there is a frontal mount for an 80mm fan as well as a ducted, side mount for an additional 80mm fan to ensure optimal cooling. All these factors combine for quality beyond the price.

Pros: Inexpensive, quiet, looks like a computer and not something from a bad sci-fi movie, comes with exactly the power supply I wanted.
Cons: Considering my needs and the price, none. Other reviewers whine about what this case doesn't have that more expensive cases would have. I guess I would have liked the big fan to have speed control and tach, rather than just hooking up to 12 volt peripheral power, but it does have a three-speed switch on a flying lead.
Other Thoughts: My case was delivered with perfect fit and finish, comes apart and goes back together easily and I haven't cut myself yet. I have covered all the side vents with matt black card. You can't really use the fan at the bottom-front because the front bezel almost completely blocks its ventilation holes, however there is good ventilation above it, just where it is needed by the 3.5" drive bay. I have never understood why cases run with negative pressure so dust is sucked in through all the cracks, including the optical drive tray. I plan to try reversing the big fan to pull air into the case through a piece of filter foam. I don't think the power supply fan will suck it all out again, so there should be flow over the drives and out the front.

Great budget case

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Affordable, especially with the included Earthwatts 380W PSU, and especially when it's on sale or has rebates. Had no trouble installing Bioforce TF8200 motherboard, though I did not need to install any expansion cards for this build. Quiet 120mm rear case fan. Power supply cables are easily routed through the provided opening. Plenty of room to manipulate the cabling even with a SATA DVD drive installed. No sharp edges. HD cage has rubber grommets to reduce HD vibration/noise. Side panels were easy to remove and replace
Cons: No drive rails for 5.25" drives. Non-removable drive cage makes HD installation annoying. My small retail AMD heatsink, as placed on my AM2 motherboard, got in the way during hard drive installation. Be sure to install all hard drives before installing the CPU heatsink. It will be troublesome to add a hard drive later without removing the CPU heatsink.
Other Thoughts: I bought this case for about half price after discounts and a mail-in rebate. But if it's not on sale, or if your budget has some flexibility, consider upgrading to an Antec Sonata. I'd have given 5-stars if the base price was lower. The power button glows blue when the computer is on - you may or may not like this. The CPU sleeve vent doesn't line up with the CPU on an AM2 motherboard, but it doesn't interfere with the small retail AMD heatsink I used. No silencing materials besides rubber HD cage grommets. My parts were all low-power and quiet, but with higher end / hotter parts, it might be a noisy case.

Pros: Inexpensive Good Finish Well made REAL Earth Watts 350 PSU
Cons: No Audio jacks on front Kinda tight with a full size board
Other Thoughts: Looking for an inexpensive case for a basic buld for a friend, I found this case and with the Earth Watts power supply and the price I couldnt pass it up. Everything went together easily, and the fit and finish was fine, especially for a 50 some dollar case with free shipping...couldnt go wrong.

Good Case
Reviewed By: on 4/29/2009
Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: more than 1 year
Pros: Nice simple case. Everything goes in, has plenty of slots for hard drives and 5.25" drives. Also stays cold, around 90F, that might just be because i dont push my system very hard though. The 380 W power supply perfectly fits my needs too
Cons: The power connector for my motherboard is right behind where the hard drives stack up, so its a tight squeeze and is a little inconvenient.
Other Thoughts: It doesnt have a side window, but thats not what i was looking for when i bought it. I plan on modding it later though just for fun.

Say it LOUD that this thing is quiet!
Reviewed By: on 4/21/2009
Tech Level: high - Ownership: more than 1 year
Pros: This case is just what I was looking for to house a build I did last year. It's big enough to hold everything you'd need to have installed, nicely ventilated with a speed controlled 12cm fan in the back, room for an additional 8cm fan in the front, comes with a halfway decent if not totally capable 380w 80+ power supply, tears down easily and reassembles easily for simple upgrading. Oh yeah, this thing's also got rubber grommets in the hard drive bays for great noise insulation, which only helps to make this thing even quieter. Side air duct channels intake air straight to where it's needed the most on the processor.
Cons: I wouldn't try to build an ultra high end gaming rig with the power supply in this thing, and the length might be a bit short for long VGA cards, but you could still build an entry level gamer out of this. Another thing is that installing hard drives in this thing can be tricky, but the easy removal second side panel helps make this slightly easier.
Other Thoughts: Very good general purpose case. My first build with this case uses a Gigabyte Micro ATX motherboard, Celeron Dual Core E1200, 2 GB of DDR2 RAM, Radeon X550 graphics card, optical drive, FDD, 160 GB hard drive. With the back fan on low, the processor idles at around ambient temperature. I like using this case enough that I plan on getting a second one and using it to build a living room media PC. Even in a silent room, it's difficult to tell it's on, save for the blue LED.
