The newest member of Antec’s award-winning Solution Series, the silver NSK4480 continues the tradition of combining quality and cost effective cases and power supplies. In addition, it is more environmentally friendly thanks to the 380 Watt ATX 12V v2.2 power supply’s Active PFC and 80 PLUS certification – which means that you’ll be saving electricity as well as money each month.

Despite its bargain price, you will be pleasantly surprised by the feel and features of the .8mm cold-rolled steel case. It fits standard and micro ATX motherboards and there are no sharp edges inside to put your hands at risk. Seven expansion slots give you plenty of options as do the trio of 5.25” and pair of 3.5” front accessible drive bays.

They, along with three internal 3.5” drives feature rubber grommets to isolate drive vibrations from the case. A rear mounted 120mm TriCool fan is included and there is a frontal mount for an 80mm fan as well as a ducted, side mount for an additional 80mm fan to ensure optimal cooling. All these factors combine for quality beyond the price.

  • newegg Rolled Steel Construction The rolled steel construction give the case a smooth, solid feel and protects your valuable internal components from damage and heat.
  • newegg Energy Saving The Antec NSK4480B comes equipped with a highly efficient 380 Watt power supply with 80 Plus certification. Not only does it save power, but it saves money on your power bill!
  • newegg Effective Cooling System 1 rear 120mm 3 speed cooling fan pulls hot air away from your components and out the back of the page. 1 front mount for optional 80mm fan, and another advanced chassis air guide with mount for another optional fan.

4 out of 5 eggsgOOD bASIC cASE

Pros: Inexpensive
Good Finish
Well made
REAL Earth Watts 350 PSU

Cons: No Audio jacks on front
Kinda tight with a full size board

Other Thoughts: Looking for an inexpensive case for a basic buld for a friend, I found this case and with the Earth Watts power supply and the price I couldnt pass it up. Everything went together easily, and the fit and finish was fine, especially for a 50 some dollar case with free shipping...couldnt go wrong.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case

Pros: Nice simple case. Everything goes in, has plenty of slots for hard drives and 5.25" drives. Also stays cold, around 90F, that might just be because i dont push my system very hard though. The 380 W power supply perfectly fits my needs too

Cons: The power connector for my motherboard is right behind where the hard drives stack up, so its a tight squeeze and is a little inconvenient.

Other Thoughts: It doesnt have a side window, but thats not what i was looking for when i bought it. I plan on modding it later though just for fun.

5 out of 5 eggsSay it LOUD that this thing is quiet!

Pros: This case is just what I was looking for to house a build I did last year. It's big enough to hold everything you'd need to have installed, nicely ventilated with a speed controlled 12cm fan in the back, room for an additional 8cm fan in the front, comes with a halfway decent if not totally capable 380w 80+ power supply, tears down easily and reassembles easily for simple upgrading. Oh yeah, this thing's also got rubber grommets in the hard drive bays for great noise insulation, which only helps to make this thing even quieter. Side air duct channels intake air straight to where it's needed the most on the processor.

Cons: I wouldn't try to build an ultra high end gaming rig with the power supply in this thing, and the length might be a bit short for long VGA cards, but you could still build an entry level gamer out of this. Another thing is that installing hard drives in this thing can be tricky, but the easy removal second side panel helps make this slightly easier.

Other Thoughts: Very good general purpose case. My first build with this case uses a Gigabyte Micro ATX motherboard, Celeron Dual Core E1200, 2 GB of DDR2 RAM, Radeon X550 graphics card, optical drive, FDD, 160 GB hard drive. With the back fan on low, the processor idles at around ambient temperature. I like using this case enough that I plan on getting a second one and using it to build a living room media PC. Even in a silent room, it's difficult to tell it's on, save for the blue LED.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice case

Pros: Very well built. Power supply worked right from the start.
Plenty of extra screws. Seems to offer good air flow. The fan on low cannot be heard 5" from the case. Medium setting on fan can be heard but nothing to loud.

Cons: Instruction manual was worthless and with 5 different kinds of screws I was lost as to what went where. The top of the case must come off to get sides off. I have to really push hard to get the top to slide the last few inches when closing it up, and as well when trying to slide it back to take it off.

Other Thoughts: This case was for my first system build and I am glad I spent a little extra for the quality. Running the fan on medium my system and cpu(E5200)temps range from 30-40c. System is for my Dad, so no overclocking and games.

5 out of 5 eggsNSK 4480 Update

Pros: Plenty of ventilation. Rubber grommets for the HDD's. Speed adjustable fan is large and quiet. Room for adding two more fans. two thumb screws actually hold down the top cover. removing the top allows removing both sides giving a commanding access to the upper drive bays and eases hiding unused cables. Very good power supply for basic computer. 3 year warranty.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: All's well that Ends Well. Thanks Newegg.

4 out of 5 eggsGood case power supply combo for first time builder.

Pros: Built my first computer in this case last year and although it isn't huge inside it is plenty big enough for most systems. It fit my 8800gts and the very popular Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7 (when you remove the tunnel).

The power supply is a name brand that costs forty bucks by itself so that pushes this towards being a good deal. (catch it on sale or with free shipping for an even better deal) I'm sure a overclocked dual core (or non overclocked quad core) plus ATI 4830/4850/ Nvidia, DVD drive, HDD, Couple of fans would run fine in this (high quality power supplies are usually underrated on wattage).

The exterior dimensions of this case are pretty reasonable so it doesn't take up a huge amount of room in your room.

If you want an all black look the Antec 4480B has you covered.

Cons: Size: Long dvd drives can run into the power supply when placed in the top drive bay, Long enough for 8800gts video card probably not gtx200 series cards.

Oh and this power supply is enough power for up to a Radeon 4850 or Nvidia 9800GT (soon to be GTS 240), but please don't try to use graphic cards requiring multiple 6pin power plugs on this power supply then complain about stability problems.

A good resource to look at your power supply needs is at: extreme power supply calculator (Google that phrase)

Other Thoughts: I have built a couple of more systems for other people since then and I would buy this case again.

Look at the Antec Sonata III case if you want a slightly better case/bigger power supply for a bit more money.

Read all of the manuals for your new stuff before you start, keep yourself grounded and you too can have a good first experience.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Case, Solid Price

Pros: Case is solidly built, very quiet, and looks respectable (not flashy and not cheap looking at all). I had no connector or fit problems with ATX or uATX motherboards (something not every case I have used can claim). Great value to get a solid case and a solid power supply, unlike other combinations that contain very questionable power supplies.

Cons: This case will not compete on fit and finish with $100+ cases, but it is built very well for its sale price range. The list price is a little high if you have to pay shipping, but it often goes on sale or has free shipping. It does open in an odd way, but it doesn't cause any problems, it is just a little strange.

Other Thoughts: I have already built two computers for family members based on this case (black version), and both have performed great (total of about 20 months of operation). I just bought a third to build another family member a computer (silver version). This is really a great case/PSU combination for any build that can make it with a 380W PSU, which is most everything except high-end/gamer builds.
