The Antec NSK2480 case is the first desktop case in their award-winning Solutions Series. Designed for locations where space is at a premium, the case combines quiet computing with environmentally friendly features. The high-efficiency EarthWatts 380 Watt ATX12v v2.2 power supply is certified 80 PLUS and has Active PFC (power form correction) to help you save energy and money. Silicone grommets and rubber feet isolate drive vibrations and reduce noise.

The case's external styling will easily fit into most entertainment units and compliment your other electronics. The case fits micro ATX motherboards along with 2 front-accessible 5.25" drives and a pair of internal 3.5" drives. Two side-mounted 12cm TriCool 3-speed fans draw air out of the case to keep the components cool. Three internal chambers isolate the PSU and hard drives. An adjustable baffle system lets you maximize airflow.

Construction is 0.8mm cold-rolled steel and internal surfaces have been carefully crafted to prevent scratched hands while working inside. Cable management is a breeze with strategically placed holes and pre-mounted wire ties. The hole leading from the power supply is adjustable to reduce the amount of heat and noise that escape into the component bay.

5 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: I dont know what people are talking about when they say this case is flimsy...I have my 35 pound avr sitting on top of it and it is very solid.
The layout is tight, but perfectly so.
Its also the exact width of my Harmon Kardon receiver, so it looks good.

Cons: The only thing I can think of, is upgrading to a bigger ps.
Maybe a 750 if I can fit one in here.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: pretty, quiet

Cons: limited space, hard drives are really inaccessible once put in due to the noise dampening setup

Other Thoughts: i've owned this for years now, and just got a new dvd drive with an initially black front. if anyone is looking for a spray paint that matches, krylon metallics dull aluminum is a near perfect fit. i got a can at an ace hardware.

3 out of 5 eggsNot for "Side Way" style Sata motherboards.

Pros: Its super sleek! Comes with a trusted and respected power supply.

Cons: I have a motherboard where the Sata cables are not facing up, but facing flat and to the right. Its just not physically possible to even attempt to squeeze in a snug fit. Maybe if you have "L" shaped sata, it could work, but i cant even guarantee that seeing how little space there is.

Other Thoughts: Look up "EVGA P67 SLI Micro" for an example of a micro atx with sata cables that are angled differently. I really liked this case, but its obvious the case was designed for this type of sata connection in mind.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Sturdy, seems odd for them to advertise how thick the sheet metal is but understandable once you see it. Have no fear that the case couldn't hold anything I might want to set on top of it.
Airflow is decent even with the stock fans, which aren't too loud and are adjustable though they lack a connecter to the motherboard for automatic control.
Considerations to reduce noise from moving components taken and at the same time to make accesing those easier.

Cons: Color-Nothing besides the silver offered which clashes with almost all drives and drive bay perhipherals.
Seperated compartments are uncomprimising with motherboards with side facing sata ports.

Other Thoughts: Higher cost than most htpc/micro-atx cases though the quality is there, you could probably get more value for your money on others however.
The included power supply should of been a higher wattage considering the price.
Being SSD ready(which they don't seem to advertise in this listing for some reason) consists of raising screw holes for a 2.5 inch drive underneath the external bays, functional but spartan and I don't like how tight of an angle it forces the power cable to be.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent case.

Pros: Great case, built solid, good airflow, extra 2.5" drive mount below 5.25 bays for SSD.

Cons: Sucks air from under the chassis which collects dust behind the motherboard, this should be filtered...
The 5.25 bays should have "stealth" covers that remain in place and hide the optical drive. Typical DVD/CD drives are black or white, neither look good in this silver faced case. HP, Dell, Gateway, Apple, Acer, and others all know to hide the face of DVD/CD drives, yet companies that specialize in cases like antec don't seem to care.

3 out of 5 eggsGood enough

Pros: Fairly easy to work in
Looks nice
Smaller than a full size tower...

Cons: ...but not by much.
Pretty cramped compared to a fullsize tower without being much smaller

Other Thoughts: I bought this to serve as an HTPC case. It's a little bit smaller than the NZXT Tempest case I use for my gaming PC, but not by as much as you'd think. I think it might actually be a little bit bigger in some dimensions. However, it was significantly more complicated to open and work inside. Next time around, I might just go for the regular tower size since the cooling will be much better, the case will be easier to work with, and I can save some money. That said, this case does look very slick.

5 out of 5 eggsWhy can't all cases be designed this well?

Pros: This is one of the most compact desktop cases you can get that will fit full-height cards and a full sized ATX power supply. It has a fantastic layout and cable management is a joy. The anti-vibration mounting for hard drives is well done with plenty of space for proper ventilation between drives.

Cons: These are all minor but I figured I'd mention them just in case. Some aftermarket CPU heatsink/fan units will not fit due to the low case height. The exhaust fan blows out the side, which may be a problem for some people. The anti-vibration hard drive mounting is a little tricky for getting drives in and out, so this case isn't optimal for people who are swapping drives in and out with any frequency.

Other Thoughts: If you want a similar micro-ATX case in a mini-tower format, take a look at the Antec NSK 3480, which is equally compact and well designed.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat HTPC case

Pros: I spent a while researching a good HTPC case, and eventually settled on this one. There are smaller options, but most use non-standard power supplies. Installation of all the hardware was relatively easy and straightforward. Cooling is good, and it looks really good in the cabinet below my TV.

Cons: The hard drive assembly is somewhat involved to work with. There's a bracket with four screws that holds the top side of the hard drive, and the other side of the hard drive screws in from the bottom of the case (the hard drives sit on their long side vertically). So eight screws total to install one hard drive. Not difficult, just time-consuming.

Other Thoughts: It should be noted that the 5.5" dimension listed for height does not include the case's feet. They add about another 1/4". I had measured my cabinet and had about 1/8" to spare, but when I tried to put it on that shelf, it didn't fit. Fortunately, the shelf was movable, but that could be an issue if your equipment shelves do not move.

4 out of 5 eggs6 years stong

Pros: I've had this pc case for 6 years!! It's still working fantastic! the design of the drive bay is unmatched by anything ive ever seen. This is a case that you buy once and own forever.

Cons: its massive for a micro atx case. the front usb hubs are starting to go out ( you have to out pressure on a usb stick to get it to register) same can be said for the audio jacks- bu those are minor complaints. I've had this thing for 6 years and I plan on owning it for many more!

4 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Place to hide the wires and good looking case overall. Power supply wires were long to make use of cable trays to keep things nice and clean.

Cons: paid over $100.00
