NO BRANDING!
- Pros: decent power supply, clean sytle
- Cons: They stuck their freaking name on the front. When you are building systems for others, you don't want the case manufacturer's name stuck on the front of the case. "Oh, you have an Antec computer system". "No, I don't have a freaking Antec, I have a custom system built by...."
- Other Thoughts: Trying to buy a case is almost impossible now. I am trying to build a nice system for someone and either the cases are dog doo ugly, cheaply made, or they have the manufacturer's name all over it. Where do white box builders go to get a nice case without a reseller's licence?
Unusable
- Pros: Good aesthetic design. Relatively solid construction. Came with lots of extra screws and cables.
- Cons: Optical drive slots are totally unusable. We have attempted to install over six different optical drives as well as internal card readers into the drive bays on this case and there is simply no way we could decipher to actually attach the drives to the case. I reiterate: OPTICAL DRIVES CANNOT BE PROPERLY INSTALLED IN THIS CASE. Additionally, the case arrived severely bent as though it had been dropped a few times. Probably not newegg's fault, however.
- Other Thoughts: It is possible that the particular case that we received was missing some sort of mounting bracket for the external drive bays, in which case the trouble we were having with it is understandable. Nevertheless, we have returned the case for a refund and went with a coolermaster model instead. We were also skeptical about the PSU on this unit, but did not test it before sending the case back for RMA.
Good quiet case
- Pros: Quiet case with exhaust fan on low. PSU is quiet as well, and has modular cables. Case is not flashy, which I appreciate.
- Cons: Front Firewire port is not helpful for me. I'd have preferred eSATA, but not a big deal.
- Other Thoughts: It required a surprising amount of force to get the screw holes on my motherboard (ASUS P5Q-E) line up. Front fans are not included, which may be a pro or con, depending on your needs.

Introduction
Silence is stylish with the Sonata Plus 550 from Antec. This mid-tower case minimizes noise while still maintaining a stylish elegance. A 3-speed TriCool 120mm exhaust fan pulls air out of the case keeping things cool. You get a choice between maximum quiet and maximum cool. The air vents on the sides of the front bezel have a washable air filter to minimize dust in the system. A 92mm fan is mounted at the front of the case for dedicated hard drive cooling.
The four hard drive bays have an optional use suspension mounted to minimize transmitted vibration and noise for up to three drives. One of the four 5.25" drive bays has a 3.5" converter panel so you can install a floppy drive or a small accessory.
Included with the case is a 550W NeoPower modular power supply with a universal power input and Active PFC. They also included a set of front panel connectors to make life easier, 2 USB, 1 FireWire, 1 headphone and 1 microphone jack.
