The Antec Mini P180 case is designed for the power computing enthusiast who enjoys tinkering under the hood, but who doesn't want to listen to the cooling fans strain. Designed to fit a microATX motherboard, a heat-reducing dual chamber design and sound deadening multi-layer side panels reduce noise and heat both. Silicone grommets reduce vibration noise. The side panels are made up of three layers aluminum and plastic to deaden sound.

A rear mounted 12cm and top mounted 20cm TriCool fans create a lot of airflow to keep your components cool. External speed controls let you adjust them to balance sound and airflow. You can install two additional 12cm fans in the front as well. All intake fans have easily-removable filters to catch dust and debris before it enters your system.

Mount three front-accessible 5.25" and one 3.5" drives along with five internal 3.5" drives without tools. The case will accommodate graphics cards with full length PCB’s. The front mounted ports let you connect two USB 2.0 and one eSATA device along with a microphone and headset without having to move the case to get at the back. A double hinge door at the front protects your drives when closed or swings out of the way against the side of the case when you need access. The majority of the chassis is .8mm cold rolled steel for durability and the internal parts are designed to prevent scratches when working in tight spaces.

  • newegg Unique Upper and Lower Chamber Structure The unique dual-chamber structure enables the power supply and CPU to reside in separate cooling zones for exceptional heat dissipation and reduced system noise.
  • newegg Supreme Expandability with 9 Drive Bays Boasting three 5.25" external drive bays, and six 3.5" drive bays (one external and five internal), the Antec Mini P180 provides supreme expandability.
  • newegg Efficient Ventilation The Antec Mini P180 features an enormous 200mm TriCool fan on the top and a 120mm TriCool fan at the rear for efficient ventilation and effective system cooling.
  • newegg Convenient Front I/O Panel The Antec Mini P180 features a convenient front I/O panel for easy access to two USB 2.0, one eSATA and two audio ports.

5 out of 5 eggsAntec Delivers

Pros: This is one fabulous case. It is so quiet due to the thoughtful design yet the air flow is plentiful. I've used Antec cases for all three of my builds to date and this case is more evolved than the others but also more expensive. I've no regrets spending the extra dough! The details like cable management, sound dampening shields and fasteners, and the huge fan on top all lend to one excellent build.

Cons: This case won't likely hold some desirable graphics cards that are longer than average along with multiple hard drives but that's not really a con if you think ahead about space limitations. It is a MicroATX tower after all.

Other Thoughts: I see that at the time of this review that this case is deactivated on NewEgg so I'm thinking this is more a push to spend a little extra and get alot more out of your case for your next build/upgrade. Antec will likely have a similar model to replace this ones features. Skimp on something else if you must but get a better case. It's worth it!! Cheers

5 out of 5 eggsAntec Delivers!

Pros: Very well designed case. Hard drive and CD drive mounts designed for easy and quick removal. Cables from the power supply can be routed UNDER the motherboard so less cable mess. Comes with speed adjustable fans and the power supply is isolated from the rest of the components in the case so no heat transfer issues. I had a very easy time of installing my hardware.

Cons: I enjoyed putting it together so much I don't think there was one. The case is configurable and has slots in different locations for the CD drive and hard drives so if you have one of those extra long CD drives or video cards its easy to remove one of the two hard drive bays and make room for everything. So the only con would be for people who are where they want their components in the case.

Other Thoughts: This is the second Antec case I have purchased, the previous one an Antec 900, and I ma again impressed with the craftsman ship and well thought out design. I had though that they might not put as much into their less well known products but I was wrong, this P180 has as many features as the big cases. I will purchase from Antec again!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The case has a great look to it with an excellent build quality. This is my third time buying this model. I use this as my main HTPC case and looks great next to my entertainment center.

Cons: A little larger than most microATX cases, but I'll take that tradeoff for the features.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great build quality, plenty of room for a decent CPU cooler and video card. I really like the bottom mounted PSU and the cable routing space behind the motherboard as well. Rubber mounts for the hard drives a nice addition. With the rebate (which I received) and hot deal that Newegg was having I got this for $40.00 shipped.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The top and rear mounted cooling fans and 3 speed fan controller are nice - I have them set at the lowest setting. I just wish that their was the ability to change the fan without having to cut the wires at the 3 speed switch. I wanted to replace the rear mounted factory 120mm fan with a thinner one and didn't find this out till then. I don't consider this a con.

4 out of 5 eggsPower button

Pros: This case is quiet!!!!! Double wall side panels, 200mm top fan, silicone mounted hard drive bays and a front cover make for a whisper quiet case. On thing I didnt realise even after reading all the reveiws is that there is a gap between the right side panel and the motherboard plate, they designed that to allow you to run your cables back there. This makes my case look clean. The seperated power supply chamber takes the heat it creates and keeps it away from the motherboard, very cool!! Literaly!! The air filters on this case are the work of pure genius!!

Cons: The front door even though it is designed to make the case quiet it also hides the power button, after installing windows there was no reason to use the dvd drive so I would keep it closed all the time but for the fact the power button is located on the other side. As a side note to that there are holes in the front of the case you can stick a key or somthing through and hit the power button but thats lame.

Other Thoughts: I had a 900 before this and one of the issues with it is that it collects dust like I have never seen (the cost of moving that much air) I still loved it though and I debated on getting another one. This case won me over with the filters and quiet.

5 out of 5 eggsWould buy again!

Pros: - Super well machined parts, superb attention to detail
- Very quiet / Good airflow
- Fantastic cable management
- Solid
- Looks great, externally and internally

Cons: - Gets tight quickly

Other Thoughts: I only decided to write this mini-review up after having to install a few extra hard drives after eight months of ownership. Tinkering around with my comp reminded me of how much this case rules. It looks great, the hard drive cages slide smoothly, the cable management makes you look like a computer-building-genius, it's quiet and well damped, and it's just straight up awesome. I plan on buying from Antec for every computer I build going forward. I'm very impressed!

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT CASE!!!

Pros: Super quiet!!!!! cant hear a thing!!! great fans that you cant hear at all. nice layout as well!! nice and much smaller than my old Antec case. also much lighter.

Cons: cant fit a regular intake fan in front of the drive bays B^( i had to take out the extra top drive bay to add the fan. seams to be the only flaw i can find at the moment. well other than it seams like this case isnt being made any more all the retail stores are sold out and only have the ugly white case.

Other Thoughts: Great looking case, Super quiet, not to big and not to heavy.... cant go wrong with this case!

4 out of 5 eggsgreat quality, few nits

Pros: * quiet and good air flow.
* sturdy
* black interior and exterior, classy.
* thumbscrews for things you will access frequently
* all the spare parts you expect, including one 5->3.5 rail.
* documents which way you want your psu fan (facing up)
* I can vacuum without knocking the cables on the front, because they're half way up.

Cons: * must open front to use dvd drive.
* case is big enough you could keep on floor, but ports are on the front, not on top.
* my dvd drive was exact length of bay at the top. with the quick release rails attached, it took some work to adjust to get it to click into place.
* all-steel construction meant that even though I was patient, when I knocked out the top cdrom tray plate, I almost scratched the case and did nick the plastic front.
* Front cover hinges are plastic and don't feel as sturdy as the rest. Will that hinge last 4 years?
* No front card reader nor front firewire 1394 port. Would make a good bundle.
* esata cable from the front plugs into an on-board sata adapter. My connector didn't have a snug fit and came apart a few times while I was building the machine out.
* bigger than other micro-atx cases. this is 2.5x the height of my shuttle xpc, about the same size of an average mid tower case
* putting my hand in top fan while lifting the case from the inside. Don't do

Other Thoughts: Impressed, happy with purchase. Wanted, got a high-quality case that is fun to work with and keep things cool and quiet.

Black paint inside is a nice quality, but can't show it off without a window, which would defeat the silent paneling on the sides.

Usb from the front comes in 2x 5-pin blocks, and I had to read supplied pin info to figure out how to slot into my mother board's 10 pin-spaced (with one plugged) sockets. I suppose somewhere, there's motherboards with only 1 set of 4 or 5 pins.

Used the right panel cable management space for all power from the corsair 750-HX. That went well.

If you're going to ensure everything is black painted, some screws and pop rivets you don't want to notice could also be black.

I like that closing the door will keep kids fingers from the cdrom, but would also want power buttons behind the door, and a lock mechanism.

Added 3 stand-offs to support my gigabyte p55 ud2, the rest were pre-installed.

Small Radeon 5670 fits easily beh

5 out of 5 eggsA work of art

Pros: Just sizing it up before I purchase all the parts....Looks like antec thought this one out real good.

Cons: Case fans.....Switchable speeds on the back....Most motherboards these days have variable speed fan controllers onboard.....Heat goes up, fan speed increases. Usually 3 or 4 pin plugs. Antec is a little behind on this one.

Other Thoughts: Exceptional case for the price. Worth waiting for it to go on sale....Will be purchasing components as they drop in price....matx mobo, intel core i7 or i5 processor, memory etc. I'll be waiting a long time before any good deals on the Intel processors appear...... matx motherboards arent bad now.
