Antec’s Nine Hundred case was acclaimed for its combination of style and cooling design. The Twelve Hundred is an evolutionary improvement that capitalizes on the original design and adds even more for a design that can take whatever you throw into it. Even the largest 10.5” graphic cards like AMD’s Radeon HD 3870 x2 and Nvidia’s 9800 GX2 fit into any of the 7 expansion slots within its cavernous interior without limiting hard drive placement within any of the 12 bays. Mini ITX, Micro ATX or standard ATX motherboards likewise fit with ease.

A pair of three-speed 120mm blue LED fans exhaust heat out the rear of the case while a 200mm fan does so through the top. The speed of the fans, can be controlled from the outside of the case. Space and mounting points are provided for two more 120mm fans – one in the middle to cool the CPU or graphic card, and another bringing air in through the side panel to cool the expansion cards. Knockouts for liquid cooling systems are built in as is a platform for a reservoir or pump.

Because excess heat will kill any system, the case is designed to maximize cooling. The perforated front bezel offers maximum air intake by the trio of 120mm blue LED fans that pull air through the washable air filter. The front panel is finished off with top-mounted I/O ports for easily connecting an eSATA and a pair of USB 2.0 devices along with HD audio inputs and outputs.

  • newegg Increased Expansion With a total of 12 drive bays, you can expand your system to the limit
  • newegg Excellent Cooling The Antect Twelve Hundred comes equip with massive cooling options. A special 200mm fan on top, two rear 120mm fans , 3 front 120mm fans, 1 open slot for a side case fan, and one open slot for a middle fan give you ultimate cooling where you need it most.
  • newegg Cleanable Air Filters The cleanable air filters reduce dust build up on your expensive parts.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat overall case

Pros: Large case can handle any hardware you toss in it - Lots of space for cable management - Aesthetically pleasing - Great airflow - Fan/LED controllers give you lots of customization - Antec quality is superb

Cons: Dust tends to build up quite a bit even with cleaning out the air vents - Can't remove the front bays without taking the side panel off (at least I couldn't figure it out) - Foam covering front unused panels isn't secured

Other Thoughts: The cons aren't enough to drop an egg. The case is very high quality and I would use it again.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing case!

Pros: Plenty of cooling
HUGE amount of space.
Front drive bays can be moved around 3 drives at a time.
Comes with all the fans you need. All adjustable without even having to open the case or rig it to software, although you CAN rig it to software if you want.
Very tough, very good build quality.
Supports watercooling and even has a location set aside to mount the hardware.
Good cable management.
A very clean look to it, it's lit up with the three fans in front, two in back and one on top (provided!) but it's subdued and not cheesey, it just looks amazing for those who want a little "wow" factor yet a clean look.

Cons: Please be aware that there are newer revisions to this case. V3 being the best. I got this one for 94 bucks on a black friday sale, but it's a little pricey normally for the newest revision. (around 150-250 depending on time)
This revision does NOT have
SSD mounting support, you'll have to buy it from Antec.
The filters on this older revision are harder to get to, you need to open the case and then unscrew 24 thumbscrews to slide the drive trays forward an inch in order to remove the filters for cleaning. The new revision has it setup so you don't need to do that. Just FYI.
Will fit pretty much anything you want, however it will not fit a Corsair H100 Liquid Cooler without offsetting the fans slightly on the rad. There are a few threads in the popular overclocking forums confirming this.(Yes there is a review website for the H100 that used this case, but I could never get them to give me a clear answer and it does seem like they had to off-set it somehow that's not clear in the pictures).
It will fit just about anything else though.

Other Thoughts: See it on sale? Buy it. It's performance and value are amazing.
Don't see it on sale? Wait for it or get something else.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: Great case, amazing airflow, can fit pretty much anything in here and have room to even work around those tight spaces. Great case for gamers who need high powered video cards, and since those video cards are huge it was the perfect choice.

Cons: Kinda annoying to remove the front fans to clean them but the newer version of this case has that problem fixed.

Other Thoughts: When i bought this case a month later the newer version came out, I still love this case was worth the money and looks awesome. One problem though for my current situation is that i have pets in my house and they tend to shed their fur everywhere. Since the case has so many fans, i not only use it to cool down my pc but also to filter out my air lol. Usually after 2 weeks my dust busters in the front are all clogged. But i do not blame this at antec, this case is just great =)

2 out of 5 eggsHard to find parts

Pros: Large open area, plenty of HDD storage

Cons: I lost the bag of extra HDD screws for it after about a year. They are not standard length and very difficult to find at the hard ware store.
The front screens filters require too much work to get to to clean, making them nearly pointless

Other Thoughts: Much better cases available for the money.

5 out of 5 eggsAn Amazing case!!

Pros: I love this case. Lots of room to fit your giant video cards and tons of hardrive bays. It is a must buy!!!

Cons: The front filters for the fans are a pain toclean. You have to remove all 20 screws to get them loose. I just leave 1 screw on each side so it is less of a hassle. Other then that, the case is kinda heavy so if your really strong at all, have someone help you!

5 out of 5 eggsNever need to buy another case

Pros: What a greet case, what can I say. It has been through slot since 2008. Started with e8400 liquid cooled wi a 9800 GTX and then 3 graphics cards 2 motherboards and 2 CPUs later. It has a 2500k with sli GTX 560 ti's. It has been the backbone to my buiLds for the past 3-4 years, and I upgrade alot. The only other thing I would put on the same level as this is the corsair tx 750 I bought at the sane time, still running from a single 8800gt to sly 560 ti's amazing. Best airflow I am sure of it.*. I Don't think I will get rid of it. Not until a revision with usb 4.0 or something in the distant future.

Cons: None really, other than not having s full window instead of this half window half mesh malarchy.

Other Thoughts: I have tried to bring myself to upgrade but there are just too many good things about the 1200. With 2 optional adapters and high airflow fans my 560's stay super cool.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very large case, sharp look. Runs very quiet during normal operation. Haven't had any overheating issues.

Cons: Top front of case can get a little cramped.

Other Thoughts: Fans can get a little loud when the system is being pushed, but not any more than you'd expect out of that many fans. Can't notice when headphones are on.
