Ultimate gamer case? Just maybe. With a partially perforated package that still finds room for four huge yet quiet fans, you have a seriously cool gaming case, and that's no joke. You expect the Antec Nine Hundred Two to be ready for lift off, especially with the 200mm TriCool exhaust fan and perforated port atop this stylish case. It even has mounted dual 120mm fans in the front and a 120mm fan at the rear panel! Contrary to what you might expect, this case is very quiet, unless you have all the fans going at their highest settings, at which point you might hear . . . something.

The 5.25" bays will hold optical drives, burners, or even (gasp!) your aging floppy drive, and up to six 3.5" drives can be installed in cages behind the fans, and these can be arranged along the front any way you like. This case provides a plethora of possibilities, and room to explore placement of all the pieces. The PSU, in a departure, is at the bottom of the case, for better case stability and thermal environment for the CPU.

The side window of the case, in addition to letting you show things off, provides additional ventilation, either by way of the vented screen, or by the fourth fan in the box, mounted in clear plastic, for a clear and elegant mounting. This is a sturdy steel case, with enough cooling technology to keep things frosty in the hottest action. Take one home today and build yourself the "coolest" rig around!

4 out of 5 eggsgood bang for your buck

Pros: Such a Beautiful case! very well build, lots of room, plenty of fans (1 rear, 2 front, 1 side and 1 on top) for great air circulation. My favorite part of it is the blue led lights. and the Huge 200mm top Tricool exhaust fan. to say the least...

Cons: The only thing i had a problem with was the fact that the mounting for the power supply is on the bottom of the case (which i think is better then being on top) i had trouble running the wires to a few things. i did buy a Antec TP-750 power supply. The power cord for the video card was a little tight but works great.

Other Thoughts: the 2 fans on the front and 1 on the side have cleanable filters. i clean them at least once a week, i have carpet in the room the PC is in and with all the fans going (you can also adjust the speed of the front fans with the small knobs on the lower right hand corner of them) the dust builds up fast. the power and reset button are right there at the top of the tower so keep that in mind if u plan on stacking stuff on top

1 out of 5 eggsDesign flaws ruin otherwise good product.

Pros: Spacious interior with efficient design, plenty of fans and blunt edges. Easy to clean and dust.

Cons: The case has a flaw with grounding the front USB ports that cause PC to reboot when plugging in a peripheral that has any amount of static charge. (You literally have to ground the peripheral and yourself every time you plug in a device) This flaw has been reported elsewhere and is probably the reason the case was discontinued.

The 200mm fan on top also became disabled within a few weeks and nothing I did could get it working again. The BIOS listed the fan as being enabled, testing on the MB indicated the voltage was correct however the fan would give half a turn and just stop, no amount of prodding got it to run.

Other Thoughts: Make sure you do not leave the machine anywhere near an area drinks could get spilled as the location of the fan on top while good for cooling does mean instand death for your PC if you spill anything (no this did not happen to me!).

This case is a great example of taking something not broken (The excellent Antec 900) and 'fixing' it. Thankfully it is no longer on the market however if you are offered the chance to buy one do yourself a favor and avoid it.

5 out of 5 eggsI love it.

Pros: *Lot's of fans, great air flow, and yet it doesn't sound like a helicopter. Loud enough that you know it's on, but that's about the end of it. Never a disturbing noise level.

*Oh and it looks absolutely wonderful, I feel ashamed that it is half hidden by my desk... maybe I'll put it on top of a book shelf or something :D

*I have had cases with fewer fans that sounded a hell of a lot worse than this.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My next case is very likely to be an Antec.

5 out of 5 eggsStop looking and buy it

Pros: While this case doesn't have a removable motherboard tray it does have a removable back panel and a 1inch gap behind it for some great cable management.

The 2 air intakes with adjustable speed and the rear and top over sized exhaust keep things running very cool. It is fun to put my hand over the top and feel cold air blowing out. I do a lot of gaming and I rarely turn the fans above medium. The removable washable dust screens over the front and side intakes are also great for keeping dust out of this beautiful case.

If you are looking for a new case then your search should be over!

Cons: none, I really thought about it and I can't think of a single thing that I don't like about this case.

Other Thoughts: Doesn't come with a side exhaust fan so I would recommended picking up and extra one with your order, they are cheap.

The side exhaust fan is slightly offset from the CPU so if you are planning on purchasing a larger heatsink it should not be an issue. That said I would recommended purchasing the case first then measuring to make sure that whatever fan you buy will fit. It won't kill you to use the stock cooler for a week or so and it is worth it to get things right the first time.

2 out of 5 eggsOutdated

Pros: Solid build with good cable management options. Nice cooling features with manual front fan adjustments. Plenty of room in general but ATX MB may be a little tight.

Cons: There are no "screwless" features. My old Dell 9100 was more advanced in this regard. Must remove both side panels to remove drives. Screws are poor quality and I doubt they will last long without stripping.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: LED's aren't obnoxious
Nice cooling w/ 200mm top exhaust fan
Solid construction and plenty of room to expand

Cons: None come to mind

Other Thoughts: Just built two X6 systems using this case and I was very happy with everything. The cable management isn't the greatest but it's not awful either. All said and done they look good and stay nice and cool.

3 out of 5 eggsMight want to consider more SSD and big GPU friendlier cases

Pros: Now that I am finished putting my system in it, I noticed a few things where this case could use improvement.

Cons: There is indeed a cutout for the motherboard, however it doesnt seem to be big enough vertically, as the top part of the AMD backplace on my Crosshair IV Formula is slightly covered by the back of the case, which defeats the purpose of having a cutout if it covers part of the backplate you might need to remove in the future if you cant get to the top screws!
Also, it does have a place for an SSD, but only one place, the very bottom of the case right in front of the power supply. You have to use the rubber bumper things and screw in your SSD from the bottom. but since on the very bottom, its slightly difficult to plug the cables in so you should plug them in before mounting it. Also, because of how close it is to the power supply, the SATA power cable will probably have a lot of tension.
Also, theres barely enough room for 10.75" GPUs if you want to put your hard drives in the middle bay like I did because I was using another fan attached to the bottom drive bay

Other Thoughts: The last thing I didnt like about this case was that the two front fans are soldered to the speed control dials/knobs, which means if you want to put in some Antec TriCool Red LED fans, like I wanted to do, you're going to have some work to do. I decided not to change the blue ones for the time being.
Also, my front mic port seems to not work very well, it barely is able to pic up my voice and I know its not my headset because it worked fine on my older rig.
Lastly, they should make this case even just 2 inches longer to give more room for big video cards and make cable management easier.

4 out of 5 eggsfront fans do have speed control

Pros: Reviewing a review. The front fans do have clever speed control. Sorry. I should have read the manual first.

Cons: Same as before
