INTEL TAC 2.0 Standard Chassis
- Pros: Antec's NSK 4408B (revised, version II) chassis now includes two standard mini audio sockets on the front panel: one for your headphones and the other for MIC input. Its design is almost verbatim in conformance with INTEL's Thermally Advantaged Chassis specifications ~ you will find the detailed TAC v2.0 .pdf design guide on their website.
The EarthWatts 380 power supply is 80+ certified; it runs cool and its always-on cooling fan is remarkably quiet.
- Cons: The EA380 power supply does not feature "modular cabling" ~ as well it also has "legacy" connectors for Floppy, AT-IDE drives, etc., which means that when this P/S is used with this chassis the top-most 5.25" drive bay is stuffed with surplus wiring ~ making that drive BAY 1 more or less unusable as an Optical Disk Drive location. fwiw, Both the chassis and your 5.25" ODD (mounted in middle BAY 2 of 3) will run cooler when BAY 1 is used as "the wiring storage space."
- Other Thoughts: Flipping the P/S upside-down (as we did) may make your wiring easier, neater ;-) This TAC 2.0 chassis will respond well to your sheet metal gasketing, sound-deadening efforts; Note that the 3.5" drive mounts come with o-ring vibration/noise bushings. The large (exhaust) chassis fan can be throttled down, and when set to LOW it is quiet enough; there is a mount for an aux. (input) fan (not included) in the bottom front (ostensibly to blow over a video card). If you put this chassis on a carpeted floor, you will want to raise it about an inch to reduce fluff and stuff from being sucked inside the box.
We're using these chassis+P/S combo units with INTEL D945GCLF2 Atom motherboards, 2Gb G.Skill F2-5300CL4S-2GBPQ RAM, one 3.5" SATA HDD and one 5.25" legacy AT-IDE ODD. sweet!
Pleased with this case.
- Pros: The power supply connectors have all the standard new connections for sata, video, and such. Seems like the older model, but just black and a better PSU. I was able to build a bunch of these for a client in no time with no fuss. Very happy.
- Cons: I don't like Antec's tech support as I've purchased over 100 cases over the past few years for my business, but if I need an RMA on a PSU, they never get back to me and never have in the past. I choose Antec over other companies some certain builds because of the price and usually high quality, but if the PSU goes out, don't expect them to RMA anything.
- Other Thoughts: Other than Antec's tech support for RMA, I really like their cases and most of the time stable PSUs.

Wrong size
- Pros: Seems like a perfectly good case to work with. Low hassle, good price, etc.
- Cons: Not large enough to fit long video card (e.g. GTX275 OC from MSI), bumps into hard drive cage. Also, the PSU only had 1 PCI-E power run. All in all, the case is fine, but the case and PSU here was incorrect for my build.
Simple case, no cut fingers.
- Pros: Inside it's Antec with it's rolled edges that make it a joy to work in. Everything is where it should be so cable management is easy for the simple systems this case is meant to hold.
The PSU and case fan are SUPER quiet. I had to put my hand over the back a couple times to check that they were actually on.
- Cons: I can't think of any. It's a case meant for a simple system so if your are looking for something to put an elite gaming system in don't buy this one.
The same goes for the PSU. It's awesome for a basic setup, but don't expect to run quad crossfire or anything like that.
- Other Thoughts: Newegg did it again! SUPER FAST shipping! I placed the order and got it 2 days later using only their standard shipping.
Does the job
- Pros: Extremely sturdy, built like a tank with the KISS principal. (Keep it simple stupid). Has everything you need with nothing you don't. Looks great for a modern workstation.
- Cons: I installed two different brands of optical drives, both were a lighter shade of black. Also there was a noticeable gap between the optical drives' and card reader's bezel, which took careful installation to even out-- but it was still noticeable.
- Other Thoughts: Great looking simple case for the money. I'd rather spend the extra cash on sturdiness and a decent power supply than a case with extra bling that won't hold up in shipping.
