Antec combines size, quality, features and low price to deliver a spectacular gaming case. The smallest of Antec’s “Hundred” series is designed for the Do-It-Yourself gamer. It's equipped to deal with the increased heat of high-performance systems as well as providing a flexible design. Its overall matte-black finish shows that you – and your system – mean business.

The front panel includes a pair of USB 2.0 inputs, as well as jacks for a headphone and microphone. The front bezel is perforated for maximum air intake and it has a washable filter to reduce dust within the system. Inside, are a total of nine drive bays – six 3.5” internal HDD’s and a trio of 5.25” external drives. Seven expansion card slots let you load up on graphic and other options up to – and including – a full height ATX motherboard.

A rear-mounted 120mm TriCool fan as well as a top-mounted 140mm fan – both with 3-speed switch control – draw air through the case. The case even has mounted an additional pair of 120mm fans behind the front bezel to cool the HDD’s. If you’d rather put your money into what goes inside the case rather than the case itself, the Antec Three Hundred is for you.

5 out of 5 eggsamazing value

Pros: too much to write down, amazing case, great airflow. cable management is great, one of the best cases I have ever owned

Cons: tooless drives would of been nice but not a real con

Other Thoughts: well worth the money, ive spent double for cases that were half as functional

5 out of 5 eggsVery Pleased

Pros: I've had this case for about a year now and am very pleased with it.
-Came with more screws than I know what to do with. A lot of which are thumb screws so very easy to add/remove hdd's. No tools needed
-Front cover is very easy to take off for cleaning. No wires actually attached to it. the clips that hold the one side in place are solid built and I don't feel like I'm going to break them when taking off the front panel.
-Fan's move more than enough air to keep my 9800GT heater cooled off :P
-Even with the 4 fans it comes with there is room for 2 more on the side to cool the CPU and graphics card
-Fairly happy with the space. Plenty of room to put my 9800GT graphics card and still hook up hdd right at the end of it. Cable management is decent.
-Case feels very solidly built.

Cons: At first I thought the PSU in the bottom was a great idea, but I found the real drawback to it is the main power cord to the mobo has go right over everything. You would need an extension on it to rout it outa the way.

-Some people may have an issue with the fans. having all 4 fans at full throttle is a little loud. It doesn't bother me at all tho. With the fans most of the fans at low, and the top one at medium it was pretty quiet, but i wanted more airflow.

Other Thoughts: I'm very happy with this case. Before this one I have owned several cheap cases, with not enough room, bad airflow, and poor quality fans. Complete 180 from those cases.

I don't know how much I can stress how great the front of this case is designed. One side is hinged, with the other side only having 3 clips. No wires actually attached to the front panel. And its the first case where I didn't feel like I was going to break any of the clips taking off the front.

Specs:
GeForce 9800 GT (46c idle, 58c load - down 25c just from switching to this case from a cheap case)
RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-730SS 730W
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 (OCC @ 3.6ghz) (28c idle, 45c load - stock cooler)
All the fans on HIGH (little noisy but lots of airflow)
OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent basic case

Pros: Excellent design. Well laid out, plenty of space.
Four good fans included, a rarity in this price range. Adjustable speed on fans is a plus. Useful cable management compartment.
Lighted fans look cool, if you like lights.

Cons: Reset button is a bit difficult to press for a person with larger-than-average hands. No PC speaker. Could maybe use a front-mounted eSATA port. None of this is worth an egg, though.

Other Thoughts: If your power supply has shorter cords, there's a chance that mounting it on the bottom as the case requires may pose a problem. I don't have any experience to back this up, though.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful case

Pros: -Well Made
-Excellent Airflow
-Sturdy, but not too heavy
-Thumbscrews! Opened up the little box of parts inside to find a ton of them, enough to mount plenty of drives in the abundance of space this baby has inside. Also plenty of other screws.
-Size, I'm using an Antec 900 for my main desktop (which I love) but this Antec 300 has plenty of space for most users while being a much more portable size. Roomy enough and with enough conveniences (like the cable management area) to make putting the system together enjoyable.
-Got a great combo deal with it and the Antec EarthWatts EA750 750W P/S I used for this build.
-The extra fans are nice to have over the more bare models, imo.
This particular case I've had only a week, but I helped my folks build new PC's about a year ago using this same case and they're still quite happy with them.
-Didn't notice it in the specs, but this had a handy mounting area in the bottom designed for an SSD. Not using it at present, but a nifty idea.

Cons: The only real drawback I've noticed thus far is that the expansion slots in the back don't go down quite as far as some other cases I've used. Was not an issue for my video card, but when I went to install the IO expansion bracket that came with my motherboard the lowest screw in it (holding the IEEE1394 port) was preventing it from mounting in place properly. The metal could just be cut to accomodate the expansion card, but since it's not needed right now, and may never be, I'm just leaving it in the box of spare parts for now.

Other Thoughts: Matched this case with:
Antec EarthWatts EA750 750W (cables reached fine). I didn't use any of the modular cords that came with the P/S for this build.
EVGA P55 SLI 132-LF-E655-KR LGA1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard plenty of room for this board and the side aiming SATA ports were easy to work with through the cable management area to keep things clean.
Intel Core i5-760 Lynnfield 2.8GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core CPU
EVGA 01G-P3-1467-AR GeForce GTX 465- The one touchy spot with the P/S, since it says it wants 38A on one rail. The P/S has 4 25A rails. Seems fine at this point with 2 rails just feeding the vid card.
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL
Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5"(The board does not support SATA 3, but drive works great in SATA2)
LITE-ON DVD Writer - Bulk - Black SATA Model iHAS224-06
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional 64-bit -set HDD to RAID in BIOS, smooth OS install

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent (2.0)

Pros: (in addition to my previous review -5-stars)

One user complained that the filters were difficult to take out and wash. The easy solution to this is to just stick your vacuum cleaner hose up to the front of the case once every month or so--it will suck the filters perfectly clean without removal, etc.

Cons: My only complaint is that this product is now cheaper than when I bought it...

4 out of 5 eggsNice case.

Pros: Bought this for my first PC build. The 4 fans feel like refrigerator so it's pretty awesome. I don't think I've ever owned a computer with this many fans haha.

Cons: Doesn't come with an inner microphone so when I was building my first PC and it wouldn't boot up, I had no error beeps so I had no idea what was wrong at the time. Had to go blow $5 on a stupid inner beep mic. The way it's set up, when you put the motherboard in, the video card slot really jams itself against where some of the hard drives are supposed to be. It's not an issue for me because I only have 2 internal HD's but if you really wanted to take advantage of all the 6 slots, you really can't unless your video card is from like 10 years ago.

Other Thoughts: The back slot where all the usb ports/sound ports etc are, the plastic (?) plate that came with the mobo to cover up that hole feels really cheap. I was afraid I would snap it in half when pushing it in, and I'm not a burly 300lb man either lol. Nice case if you're on a budget.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat entry-level case

Pros: I got this case for $40 after discounts and rebates, and it's a fantastic deal for this price. The construction is good, it looks nice, the four fans are quiet (and keep the case cool), and enough screws are provided to mount all the drives I had. The case I got had a mount for a 2.5" SSD on the bottom, which was a nice addition.

Cons: The fan speed is controlled manually by a switch inside the case; it would have been nice to let the motherboard control the chassis fan speed. Inserting some of the drives was a little tight.

Other Thoughts: The blue LEDs that illuminate the fans don't bother me, but they might annoy some people (and aren't easily turned off).

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case, Low Price. Double win, all the way.

Pros: Looks awesome - doesn't go over-the-top, still looks very functional, professional, and more mature. The blue fans are pretty dim, gives it a great accent.

Great cable management - included ties are a nice touch, roomy nook to house cables.

Bottom mounted PSU - better CPU cooling, more roomy
Front control panel - top mounted, easy to access.

Build Quality - my last case was an Apevia X-Cruiser - I can definitely say the quality of metalwork and exterior steel is better. No sharp corners either - I cut myself working with the Apevia before.

Easy access - Front panel snaps off, both side panels are thumbscrew-attached. Included HDD/5.25" mounts are all thumbscrews.

Oh yea, the fans - The Illusion gives you 2 blue 120mm front mounted fans and 1 140mm BLUE LED top fan over the normal Three Hundred, all with rpm control. It's great to see a case in this price range loaded with FUNCTIONAL extras (flashing LEDs and Gauges = no no)

Cons: No motherboard tray - not a biggie, just don't expect to be able to slide out your mobo on command.

No external 3.5" port - you'll need a 5.25 to 3.5 adapter to fit in your floppy drives.

Theres a little light seepage between the ports next to the power switch - again not a big deal unless the room is pitch black and youre sensitive to blue LEDs.

Other Thoughts: I'm glad I bought this case to replace the Apevia XCruiser. With 5 120mm fans (2 Front, 1 Side (not included), 1 Back, 1 CPU) and 1 140mm top fan, this thing runs dead quiet on low rpm, and still keeps my computer cool with that huge front mesh for air intake.

If functionality appeals to you, get this case. For the price, you get a lot of cooling and air control, cable management, and a look to match that says "hey antec nine hundred, you do the same thing I do but I'm cheaper and more sophisticated looking. What are you, made for kids?"

I'm using the case for a workstation PC - it looks like it can slaughter some schoolwork and still have enough cool to play Starcraft 2 between projects.

.....Get this case already!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Case

Pros: Great price for an awesome case. the four fans really keep things chilly on the inside, and the blue LED is a great touch for those who care about that. My 5830 is a big snug in the case, but that is because that card is pretty huge.

Cons: None at all.

Other Thoughts: Might buy a case to use as a fan in my room.
